Regarding hygiene during menstruation: my daughter recently attended her sex education class. Here in the States, this is standard procedureβitβs mandatory for all students before they head into High School. They explained everything clearly, and parents are encouraged to attend those sessions to ensure everyone is on the same page. The instructors strongly recommend showering at least once a day while you're on your period. In fact, they actually prefer a shower over a bath, simply because you don't want to be sitting in a tub of blood for hygiene reasons. No one suggested that you should stop washing or just live in discomfort for those few days. Just maintain your personal hygiene exactly as you did beforeβif anything, maybe wash a little more frequently if the weather is hot. And don't stress if your period is a little late, unless you've already become sexually active.
