Hey ladies, quick question?

So, Iโ€™ve been on Jasmine birth control for about a year now, but for the last two months, my period has been acting super weird. The color isn't rightโ€”itโ€™s more brownโ€”and the flow is incredibly light. It barely lasts three days max...
I can't tell if itโ€™s actually because of the pill, but honestly, the color is starting to freak me out. Has anyone else dealt with this?

Hey

I have no clue if itโ€™s because of the birth control, but honestly, the color is freaking me out. Has anyone else dealt with this?

Hey there.

That's basically my life every single month. I've only been on them for 4 months.

My period usually runs late by about 7 to 12 days, which Iโ€™ve always considered pretty normal, I suppose. But right before my last cycle, I moved to a new city and the change in climate really threw me for a loopโ€”it affects me so much. Because of that, my last period actually showed up on the exact same day as the one before it. However, this current one is now two weeks late.

I feel super bloated and I'm dealing with these mild pains in my lower abdomen, but there's still no sign of anything happening!๐Ÿ˜•

Does anyone have an explanation for this?๐Ÿ™‚

A friend of mine went through the exact same thing. She moved, the weather changed, and her cycle jumped to about 40 days twice in a row. Her gynecologist just told her it was fine, basically saying she just needed to give her body some time to adjust... and after a few weeks, everything finally settled back into place.
btw2, it happens to me too whenever I head to the Mediterranean Coast or come back from there; my cycle will be early or late by 4 or 5 days just because of the shift in weather for a few days, so... yeah.

I didn't post this in the "Am I Pregnant?" thread because I actually took a test the day before yesterday (I just decided right then and there, I couldn't deal with the anxiety) and I'm not... though honestly, given how brutal this summer heat has been, it could have gone either way ๐Ÿ˜

But look, my cycle is usually as predictable as clockwork... 26 days. Though, I did stop taking birth control about four months ago, so things have shifted slightly to around 27 or 28 days.

Now, I know life isn't always sunshine and rainbows and things don't always go perfectly, and suddenly my period is late. And I mean *solidly* lateโ€”today is day 33 and still nothing. I should probably mention that around day 12, I had some kind of spotting for a few days (ugh, how gross does that sound? Is there a more polite way to say that?) It was like a tiny amount of blood, but definitely wasn't a full period since it was so light. I've seriously never, ever had mid-cycle bleeding before.

I've been doing a little reading on the forums, and it was actually news to me that changes in climate or moving around can mess with your cycle. And get this: right after my last period ended, I got back from a month-long trip to the coast, and then I traveled to the Mediterranean Coast twice more this month while heading back and forth.

Gosh, this is such a long post! Just please tell me everything is fine? Tell me it's just the weather or something similar? I really need to know I shouldn't be panicking, that this isn't anything serious, and that I can just wait calmly for my routine checkup with my OBGYN, which is already scheduled for three weeks from now.

Could that mid-cycle spotting have pushed back my actual period? And why on earth would that spotting even happen in the first place?

Anyway, thanks ๐Ÿ˜

Itโ€™s probably just the weather acting up...
It hits me pretty hard; because of this, my cycle was delayed by 19 days.๐Ÿ˜

Just try to calm yourself, I'm sure it'll show up soon enough.๐Ÿ™‚

Seriously, 19 days?? ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

I think Iโ€™d actually lose my mind waiting this long...

Thanks for saying that, I really hope you're right... because so far, I've still got nothing. ๐Ÿ˜ข

Itโ€™s definitely possible that climate change is playing a role in those delays. I see it happening all the time with the girls studying alongside me who aren't originally from San Francisco. For instance, one friend of mine was working up near Martha's Vineyard until the end of August, but she actually got hers on July 19thโ€”meaning she was running over a month late.

Thanks for the heads-up, though I really hope you're right... because so far, I've got absolutely nothing to show for it. ๐Ÿ˜ข

Honestly, I didn't do anything risky at all.๐Ÿ˜

Hey... Iโ€™ve got a bit of a situation. My cycles have always been irregular, so Iโ€™ve been using birth control, but my period is late and it just won't show up. Iโ€™ve been active with my boyfriend, but we used protection, so I doubt that's it. It was supposed to arrive sometime between September 26th and October 2nd. Honestly, I'm already starting to spiral. To make matters worse, I dealt with a UTI this weekโ€”there was actually some blood in my urineโ€”and now I'm wondering if that infection might be throwing everything off. ๐Ÿ˜ข

Finally arrived yesterday. I was just getting ready to head out when there it wasโ€”perfect timing, right? A total pain, but at least itโ€™s here. ๐Ÿ˜
By the way, if you want to stop wasting time tracking ovulation cycles or guessing when things will arrive, check this site out. It saves a lot of headache.

Copy, paste, and save yourself the trouble. ๐Ÿ˜

Oh my god, finally! I was seriously losing my mind... it showed up this morning... thank goodness it's here.๐Ÿ˜
This is definitely a new record... a 39-day cycle.๐Ÿ˜ฒ

I could really use some advice here.
On August 21st, I took my very last birth control pill after being on them for three years, since I have to take a break due to some cholesterol issues. My period came along normally on August 23rd, but based on the fertility trackers I've been using, my next cycle was supposed to start around September 19th. It still hasn't shown up, and I'm getting close to being two weeks late.
I took a pregnancy test this morning, and it came back negative.

Should I go see my OB-GYN right away, or is it pretty common for things to get a little wonky like this when you're pausing the pill? I'm wondering if I should just hang tight for a bit longer.

Should I head straight to my OBGYN, or is it pretty common for things to get wonky when you stop the pill and I should just wait?

I wouldn't sweat it too much. You weren't on the pill during this cycle, so your body probably just needs a minute to recalibrate... plus, I'm sure the test is right; if you were pregnant and this late, it would have shown by now.

But anyway, here's MY problem:
My period is due tomorrow, or maybe in the next few days,
but the last 3 or 4 days have been absolute hell.
Lower abdominal pain, feeling totally wiped out, zero energy for anything physical, digestive issues, nausea, and these intense cramps... I can't even tell what day it is.
Theoretically, I shouldn't be pregnant,
but I've never felt this miserable a few days before my period.
I guess getting older means this is just how it goes, but if it's going to be like this every single month, I'm actually going to lose it.

I was wondering if anyone else deals with sore lips during their period? Last month was absolutely brutal. I felt completely dehydrated on the inside, and my lips were hurting so much it was driving me crazy.

A colleague and I are currently debating this matter...
Yasmin stopped taking her birth control at the start of these recent complications. Given that sheโ€™s been on the pill for eight months, she should be expecting her first period quite soon.
Since she had intercourse around the twelfth or thirteenth day of her cycle,
which marks the beginning of her fertile window, there is the question of whether pregnancy is a possibility.
They were careful, and he did not ejaculate inside her.
My assessment remains that the probability of pregnancy is minimal.
