So, I stopped taking my birth control after the fourth pill in a new pack, and now I feel like I’m going to be hit with something every single day. Between the nausea and the stomach cramps... it's a lot. Especially since I just had my period a week ago.😲

Sophia Young3 said:If I were you, I’d probably be dealing with PMS symptoms for two whole weeks straight... whenever my period gets delayed because of stress or something else, my premenstrual phase just drags on forever. Every single day, I’d be sitting there totally convinced that today was finally "the day" because my stomach would be aching, and I constantly had this nagging sensation that something was leaking.

Thanks so much! It looks like luck was on my side after all... 😁 Phew... but man, my stomach was absolutely killing me, and I honestly felt like I was leaking for quite a while. And yeah, looking back, the stress definitely played a part in it. Thankfully, everything is fine now, but it’s a huge relief to know that what I went through is actually a normal thing for the future!

rowdybadger65 said:Look, I can tell you to go see an OB-GYN, but honestly, that's pretty obvious, babe. I’ve passed out from pain more times than I can count. Usually, I just pop two Advil on the first day and another two the next, and I swear it almost always does the trick. It is what it is. When you're feeling like crap, just rest, skip school, eat tons of fruit... yeah, that's about all I got for you.

But I am doing all that. Still, thanks anyway. 😉

Oh, I know you are. It’s just one of those things, isn't it? Some unlucky souls like us just have to deal with it, though I suppose everyone handles it differently. For instance, all my girlfriends swear by taking Advil, and they say it works wonders for them whenever they're feeling under the weather. For me? It doesn't touch the pain at all. Even using a heating pad feels like trying to put out a forest fire with a squirt gun. Definitely keep exploring your options! But honestly, if you truly feel like something isn't quite right, go see a gynecologist.

Hey everyone!
I feel like I’ve scrolled through page after page of this forum, but I just can't find anything that actually gets into the details.

So, here's my situation: I have a long trip coming up, and my period is scheduled to start exactly when I'm traveling. I really don't want to be dealing with all that while I'm away, especially since I'll be spending time with my boyfriend and... well, let's just say I'd rather not deal with any discomfort or issues during that time. Is there any actual way to trigger an early period? I'm not on any hormonal birth control, so I can't just mess with pills to shift my cycle around. I could always go talk to my doctor about getting a prescription, but I'd much rather hear from people who have actually dealt with this in real life. I'm honestly starting to stress out about it.

Thanks!🙏

So, here’s the deal... I’ve been on Yasmin for five months now, and up until this point, my period has always shown up on the fourth day of the break. That’s exactly how it went this time, too. It started last Thursday, but since last night and through all of today, there hasn't been any spotting at all. Not even a single drop. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

In case anyone thinks this part matters—I did have sex with my boyfriend last night, and we didn't use a condom...

Thanks in advance! 😉

I know this thread is pretty old, but I’m dealing with something similar so...
Here is the situation... my last period started on December 10th. It was already nine days late, which is weird because my cycle is usually super regular—about 30 days. A few days after that, my boyfriend and I had anal sex, and he finished inside me. We panicked thinking some might have leaked toward the front where it shouldn't go, so I took an emergency contraceptive pill. About a week later, my period arrived and wrapped up on December 29th. Then, my boyfriend and I had sex again. This time we used a condom, but it actually slipped off inside me. He didn't ejaculate, and since it wasn't deep, we figured it just slid out when he pulled away. During the act, we both noticed some blood, which confused me because my period should have been over by then. The next day, I realized I had a small tear—kind of like a laceration near the vaginal opening—so I just assumed that was where the blood was coming from since it seemed significant. But then, two days ago, my period came back. This time it’s different; it’s just these dark, clumpy, cheese-like bits and it's incredibly light. Now I'm spiraling a bit wondering if there's any chance I could be pregnant?? Please, if anyone has advice before I can make it to a doctor (I can't get to a clinic right now)😕 😢

I suspect you might be experiencing some side effects from that medication, as it clearly threw your entire cycle out of whack.

Sophia Young3 said:Has anyone here dealt with suddenly stopping birth control pills?? I just took my 4th pill from a brand new pack and decided to quit because I’m honestly feeling pretty terrible—I really thought this new pack would make things better, but no luck... Does this mean I’ll start bleeding again in a few days? And when should I expect my next period to arrive? Has anyone else gone through this???

In my experience, once I stopped taking them, I started bleeding about four days after that last pill—and then my next cycle showed up roughly 20 days after the first one.

It isn’t out of the ordinary at all if you experience some spotting while taking these pills—it happens more often than you'd think, so please, don't panic!🙂

I'm struggling to understand the logic here—how could any sperm possibly reach the uterus if the encounter was strictly anal? 😂

And which specific pill did you take? You aren't suggesting you took Plan B after the fact, are you? 😕

And what kind of birth control were you even on? Don't tell me you took an emergency pill after the fact... 😕

Look, fluids are fluid. It’s entirely possible for liquid to leak out and migrate, eventually finding its way toward the vaginal opening. It's just basic biology. 😂 🙄

My lower abdomen has been killing me for four days straight this month.
I’ve got exactly 10 days until my period starts, so I really doubt it’s PMS.
Is it even possible to catch a cold in your ovaries or something?
Since I started on the pill, I haven't had any mid-month pain, so I have no clue what's causing this.

It’s honestly such a letdown when you reach out to someone for actual advice and they just end up making you feel embarrassed instead... 😢
The whole thing about the specific type of protection isn't even my main concern right now. What's actually weighing on me is this whole situation from New Year's. Since we weren't using a condom, I can't help but worry. I've read that pregnancy is possible just from pre-ejaculate before things even reach a climax, and that thought is stuck in my head. On top of that, I'm noticing my period is unusually light and dark this time. If anyone actually wants to offer some helpful insight, please do—but if you're just here to mock me, do us both a favor and keep your comments to yourself...

thanks

Dear Walter Thomas9, I honestly don’t even know where to start... how could you possibly think that sperm from anal sex could somehow reach the uterus? I’m not sure how old you are, but you really ought to understand how your own body works so you don't end up embarrassing yourself on a forum like this. I hate to be blunt, but there's no other way to put it. Since I'm a bit older than you, I feel like I should speak up. Please don't take this personally, but what you said was genuinely one of the silliest things I've ever heard. Do yourself a favor and pick up a biology textbook or look something up—if you're old enough to be having sex, you really should know the basics.

Look, it’s not like we just randomly decided out of nowhere that things could go from an anal encounter to vaginal one... there was a reason for it. I was scared (and no, I’m not going into the specifics of what actually happened, okay?!), but don't worry, I’m well-informed on how this works. However, I’ve never had a situation where a condom got left inside me and resulted in this much bleeding, and that’s why I reached out here. It wasn't because of the anal part—which is why I didn't go into detail about that—so please don't dwell on that aspect. Just focus on the issue that's actually bothering me... do you have any idea what this is or why it's happening?

I'm 16, and my period is 5 days late.
My boyfriend and I usually have regular sex and always use condoms, but one time right after my last period, we had sex without one—though he didn't finish inside me.
Is there any chance I could be pregnant?😕😕
Also, it was just the holidays, so I've been sleeping until 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Now that school is back in session, I'm up super early every single day. Could that sudden change in my sleep schedule be why my period is late?

Thanks.

Could be anything, really. Just hang tight for a few more days before you go running to take a test...

Maybe don't engage in sexual activity when you aren't quite sure how things work yet.😕
Exactly how many days late are we talking about?

How long has it been since you actually learned?

Well, it says right here, 5 days...
