how late are you already?

By that logic, someone could just as easily tell you not to reply when you can't read. πŸ™„
She's five days late.

Katy Perry, since you're already quite a few days behind, I'd suggest heading over to a CVS or Walgreens to pick up a test. It doesn't need to be some high-end brand; even a basic one should work fine, as enough time has likely passed since ovulation for any standard test to be accurate. Just wait until tomorrow morning and use your first urine sample, following the instructions on the box exactly. Best of luck!

Katy Perry, since you're already running a bit behind schedule, maybe head over to a CVS or Walgreens and grab a pregnancy test. It doesn't need to be one of those fancy, high-end ones; even a basic, budget-friendly version should work perfectly fine, because since you've likely passed ovulation by quite a bit, even a less sensitive test will give you a clear answer. Just wait until tomorrow morning and use your first urine of the day, following the instructions on the box to a tee! Good luck!

Fair point, haha😁
I wasn't trying to be a know-it-all, I just meant that sometimes it's better to hold off on certain things. But honestly, if she is a few days late like you mentioned, she should just pick up a test and get some clarity.

I honestly wish we could provide her with the kind of answer she's looking for, but at the end of the day, she's the only one who can truly decide. Best of luck!

Sophia Fisher55 said:Look, it isn't as if we suddenly realized out of nowhere that things can move from one way to another... there was actually a legitimate reason for my anxiety (and I won't get into all those messy details here, right?), and please rest assured, I am quite well-informed about how this works, but I have truly never experienced a condom getting stuck inside me resulting in this much which is why I reached out here, rather than because of the anal aspect, which is why I didn't go into detail about that part... so I kindly ask you not to dwell on that, but rather to address the specific issue that is troubling me... do you happen to know what happened and why it occurred?

Generally speaking, you cannot get pregnant from those "drops" you mentioned. Those fluids are just the semen being released, much like how you experience natural lubrication before intimacy. However, that amount simply isn't sufficient to fertilize an egg; for that to occur, he would need to ejaculate inside you!!

I am still somewhat confused, though, about which pill you took?? If you don't mind me asking.
Alright, we won't tease you any further (at least I won't). Just please try not to do anything reckless and then turn to internet forums for answers.
That pillβ€”was it an emergency contraceptive like Plan B?????? πŸ˜•

And people like "that" truly have no clue... if they actually knew anything, they wouldn't be asking such ridiculous questions... sorry, I just couldn't help myself...

Thomas Roberts9 β€” yeah, I took the pill afterward.

Sophia Nelson67 β€” Look, there’s no shame in not knowing something and just owning up to it. Real shame comes from acting like you have all the answers. Nobody is an expert on everything, and nobody is the smartest person in the room. We’re all just students of life until the day we die. It’s pretty clear you aren't grasping that concept... so, please, just let it go.

Sophia Fisher55 said:Thomas Roberts9, yes, I did take the tablet afterward.

Oh, my goodness... I honestly don't even know what to say to you right now.
I can't help but wonder if you truly grasp the potential harm caused by taking that pill after the fact; I noticed you went ahead and took it. I suppose I should have given it more thought. da ti je sperma Perhaps. I find myself somewhat perplexed by the implications of such an occurrence, though I suppose one can't help but wonder about the complexities of human anatomy in those moments.
Please don't worry, I truly have no intention of making fun of you; I only wish to share a little bit of what I've learned.
Please, prioritize your own well-being first before worrying about me or anyone else; perhaps you could take some time to learn more about the realities of conception before jumping back into the bedroom.
If women were to conceive every single time a stray bit of sperm accidentally made its way into the uterus, I suspect there wouldn't be a single woman left in America who wasn't pregnant. 🀷

I will provide you with some basic outlines here, and if you could perhaps do a little digging online to flesh out the details, I would be most grateful.
For a pregnancy to occur, it is essential that the man... I find myself completely captivated by you. I suppose I should have been more directβ€”it’s about reaching that deepest, most intimate part of you, rather than just staying on the surface. I find myself reflecting on how even the smallest, most subtle gestures can leave such a lasting impression on one's spirit. I find myself occasionally lost in thought regarding the specific number of fingers upon which one might rest such heavy burdens. Perhaps. I find myself occasionally pondering the more biological aspects of our existence, though I realize such reflections can sometimes feel a bit out of place in casual conversation. It is a subject that, while fundamental to life itself, often feels somewhat awkward to address with any degree of sincerity.
In order to conceive, a man really does have to find his way to completion with you. During those fertile days of the month.
I’m afraid I simply cannot get this ready. It was purely by chance. One should really only introduce it into the kidney if it isn't being accompanied by anything elseβ€”whether that be actual anatomy or any sort of supposed "remedies." πŸ˜‰)
It is my sincere belief that a few stray drops simply aren't enough to cause a pregnancy, particularly when we are talking about those initial moments of pre-ejaculatory fluid that occur before a man actually reaches climaxβ€”which is exactly what I was trying to explain earlier.
The emergency contraceptive pill isn't something you should just take on a whim; it really ought to be reserved only for those specific instances where it is absolutely necessary. I am entirely certain that there is a possibility of becoming pregnant. It seems to me that he was quite overwhelmed by his attraction to you during those particularly fertile days.

I would truly encourage you to take a moment to look things up online, perhaps have a heartfelt conversation with your partner, your mother, or even your closest friends, or maybe pick up a book on the subjectβ€”whatever it may be, please just try to seek out some information. I only say this because I would hate to see you causing yourself unnecessary distress by remaining in the dark. 😒
As you so aptly pointed out, there is no shame in asking a questionβ€”but perhaps there is a certain quiet embarrassment in remaining ignorant, or rather, in failing to truly understand one's own body and the intricate ways in which it functions. 🀷

Oh, please. As if we really need her lecturing us. And honestly, you must have been typing through sheer frustration to even put that sentence together. Tell me, what exactly was the purpose of that comment?

To be clear, I also believe someone should probably educate themselves before engaging in sexual activity, but that can be expressed politely and with actual arguments. You don't have to just swoop in and insult her intelligence before walking away. It’s certainly the easiest way to go about it, I suppose. πŸ™„

Since my period isn't due for another ten days, I really doubt it's just PMS.
Is it possible I somehow caught a chill or something and it's affecting my ovaries?
Ever since I started on the pill, I haven't had any mid-month cramping like this, so I'm honestly stumped about what's causing it.

That’s a possibility; I’ve got a cold right now and my whole body just aches.😁

My boyfriend and I have regular sex, and we always use condoms. But one day after my period ended, we had sex without a condom, though he didn't finish inside me.
Is it possible I'm pregnant?πŸ˜•πŸ˜•
Also, it was just the holidays, so I was sleeping until 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Now that school started again, I'm back to waking up super early every day. Could that be why it's late?

Thanks.

Stress can definitely make a period late. It happens. Until you know for sure, anything is a possibility... unless you're 100% certain nothing slipped out... but yeah, everything is on the table.β˜•

Maybe I shouldn't have had that drink... and honestly, I don't plan on making a habit of it. Instead, I think I’ll just ask my doctor to call in a refill for my birth control. Look, what you wrote here is actually pretty comforting, really. But at the same time... everyone is constantly buzzing about how you can get pregnant from even the slightest chance of contact. It’s getting harder to tell what’s actually true and who you can even trust anymore.

My vision seems perfectly fine to me.
The issue, I suppose, lies more with the condescending tone used here. β˜•

If she hasn't dealt with anything like this before, you're most likely looking at a pregnancy. The whole "pulling out" argument is a bit of a fallacy; sperm can leak through the urethra during the entire encounter, regardless, and premature ejaculation is always a variable you have to account for...

That’s true... his sperm could have easily leaked out during the entire session...

Hannah Bishop said:It was like this: my period started on November 2nd and ended by the 5th, but then on November 9th, I had some kind of bleeding again. It wasn't bright red; it was more like dark blood, almost a brownish-red color. I am currently taking Diane. It stopped today... but I don't think that was actually a period, just more of a discharge...

I went through the exact same thing. You should probably ask for a different prescription immediately, because those pills might be getting too strong for you.πŸ™‚

To be honest, what you wrote sounds quite comforting, but then again, everyone is constantly lecturing us about how you can get pregnant even from those "little mistakes," so it becomes incredibly difficult to know what the actual truth is or who to truly trust.

And you see, there is always that nagging little phrase, "it's possible..."!!
It is possible, of course it is, though there are certain boundaries, even if they aren't always as clear-cut as we might hope.
One really ought to be cautious during intimacy. When you are being intimate with someone you care aboutβ€” please use protection!!! (oral contraceptives are arguably the most straightforward option available these days).
If you do eventually decide on unprotected sex, perhaps try to avoid doing so during your fertile window just to be safe, and during other times, please ensure he doesn't finish inside you!!

I am not quite sure what else I can offer you... 🀷
My humble advice would simply be to head over to your gynecologist to discuss an oral contraceptive pill. πŸ™‚
