Stress can delay your period. You're already stressed out enough by this whole situation anyway. Let's just hope that's why it hasn't shown up yet.

The goal was to get on something for these next few days so my period doesn't ruin the wedding. Ideally, we'd conceive, but I can't bank on that happening. 😉

I get that you meant well, really, I do, but you honestly should have checked in with your OB-GYN before jumping into all of this. I deal with heavy bleeding myself, so believe me, I know exactly what you're talking about. 😢 Look, personally? Taking painkillers seems to mask things for me. It’s like the bleeding slows down while the meds are kicking in, but then the second they wear off, everything just... pours out. It’s like an absolute flood of everything that was being held back before. Honestly, I have no clue what I’d suggest you do. You really ought to just pick up the phone and ask your doctor. Better safe than sorry, right? 🤷
Good luck!
mellowcobra82 said:Well, let's just cross our fingers and hope for the best! 😉 Honestly, my advice? Stop overthinking it. Just focus on the actual wedding essentials and try to stay sane—maybe everything will just fall into place perfectly! And hey, just in case things go sideways, maybe have a backup dress ready to go? I’m rooting for you. I really hope you get the wedding you've been dreaming of! 🙂
Donna Campbell said:So, I went today and she gave me the Duphaston. She mentioned starting it a day or two before my period is due, or even sooner if I feel it coming on early. Her advice? "Take two tablets a day." It’s not a foolproof guarantee, but it should do the trick...
Now all I can do is cross my fingers. Or just plan on changing out of my wedding dress into something "normal" right after the first dance... 🤷
By the way, wearybear422, thanks for the links. 🙂

Hopefully, it gives you at least a little relief.

Everything was perfectly normal during my first cycle. Usually, my period arrives every 22 to 25 days.
However, for the last two months, nothing has happened. And there is absolutely no chance I am pregnant.
Has anyone else dealt with this?
My doctor has been out on medical leave and hasn't returned from her annual vacation yet, and frankly, I have zero desire to see someone new. I’m not experiencing any pain—if anything, I actually feel great...

Melissa Sanchez8 said:Basically, the uterine lining sheds and bleeds because of specific shifts in your hormones. When everything is running like clockwork, this happens once a month. But if your hormone levels get out of whack—which is usually the culprit, though there are other possibilities—it can happen more frequently, just like what you're dealing with right now.
As long as the bleeding isn't getting heavy, you can probably hold off until you're back and can see a doctor.
There's also a chance it could just stop on its own within the next couple of weeks.
