I have to be honest, that sounds pretty unbelievable to me.

I haven't tried it yet 😁 even though it hasn't shown up at my door. I'll just wait... when it gets here, it gets here. It’s not like I’m dying for it or anything, haha. But if it takes forever, then yeah, I might give it a shot. 🙂

Hey ladies,
I’ve got a little situation bugging me today, so I’d really appreciate any thoughts or if anyone’s dealt with something similar lately.
Basically, my period was supposed to show up around September 22nd—not that I’ve been obsessively tracking it on my calendar or anything, I'm not exactly a saint.
It’s only the 16th, and I've had this light spotting all day. It’s pretty weak, but I’ve also got those typical period cramps, just a bit milder than usual.
The fact that it showed up about 6 days early isn't really stressing me out since everyone says a 10-day window is totally normal. Plus, I was dealing with a massive amount of stress that finally wrapped up at the start of the month, so I'm chalking it up to that. 🙂

Just to add some context: I actually deal with thyroid issues (Hashimoto's, hypothyroidism) and have been on Levothyroxine for about two months now. On top of that, I'm currently under the weather with a standard nasty flu—runny nose, coughing, the whole bit.
Is there any reason to worry here? Like, could this cold or the thyroid stuff be messing with my cycle?

P.S. If there are any doctors or anyone who’s gone through this exact same thing lurking here, please weigh in... when it comes to health, nobody wants to play the guessing game.😉

I've run into a bit of an issue today that's bothering me quite a bit. I would appreciate any comments or responses if anyone knows what's going on or has dealt with something similar.
Normally, my period should arrive around September 22nd (I can't be certain since I haven't been meticulously tracking it on my calendar, but let's go with that).
Today is September 16th, and I've had light bleeding all day—very faint. Along with that, I have typical menstrual cramps, though they are also milder than usual.
The fact that it arrived 5 or 6 days early doesn't worry me, as I've heard a ten-day variance is perfectly normal. Additionally, I was under a significant amount of stress, which fortunately wrapped up at the beginning of September, so I attribute the shift to that.🙂

I should also mention that I deal with thyroid issues (Hashimoto's, hypothyroidism) and have been taking Levothyroxine for two months now. On top of that, I'm currently sick with a standard virus—runny nose, cough, and the like.
Is there reason for concern? Is it possible that this cold or the hypothyroidism is linked to this change in my cycle?

P.S. I would be grateful if a doctor or someone who has had this exact experience could respond... when it comes to health, people don't care for guesswork.😉

Regards,

With hypothyroidism, cycles tend to be delayed more often than they are early, but since you just started hormone replacement therapy, it is highly likely this is the cause.

I have hyperthyroidism, and I recall my cycles being completely erratic; it took quite some time for my hormones to stabilize before my cycle normalized.
If this light bleeding is brown in color, that is yet another indicator of hormonal imbalance.

Everything I've mentioned comes directly from my endocrinologist.🙂

With hypothyroidism, it’s way more common for your period to be late than early. But since you just started hormone therapy, this could totally be a side effect of that adjustment.

I have hyperthyroidism myself, and I remember my cycle being a total mess. It took a long time for my hormones to level out, and my period followed suit.
If that light brown spotting happened, that’s just another sign of your hormones being out of whack.

Everything I’m telling you is straight from my endocrinologist. 🙂

Thanks so much 🙂
Yeah, I read somewhere that hypothyroidism usually makes periods late, so I was low-key freaking out because mine came early—and it was barely even there....
By the way, that "bleeding" yesterday (if you can even call it that) wasn't brown at all, it was bright red...
Today it finally kicked in normally...not too much, not too little, but definitely better than yesterday. 🙂
Guess I just worked myself into a panic for nothing. Everything turned out fine. 😁

Hey there!
Quick question about these Femisan drops... how am I actually supposed to take them?
Do I drink one glass three times a day, or am I looking at three glasses three times a day? 🤷

I have a question... I started my period about a year and a half ago, and it’s been quite irregular. My cycle is currently sitting at around 20 days. Should I be concerned about such a short cycle and go see a gynecologist, or is this considered normal given how young I am...?

Is there any way to actually slow down the bleeding, even if it’s just for a few hours to get some relief?

Yeah, you can. I mean, maybe try some witch hazel tincture? I’m not entirely sure if every CVS or Walgreens carries it, but honestly, it was a total lifesaver for me.

So, I had unprotected sex about a month ago. He didn't finish inside, and if I remember correctly, it was during my fertile window. My cycles are always all over the place—they can be late by twenty days or more—but right now, I’m at day 27 since I was supposed to start. On top of that, I've been incredibly stressed lately, and I'm dealing with this nasty infection down there... the itching is just unbearable.
It feels like typical PMS, too. I've been super irritable, dealing with breakouts, and for the last few days, I've had this dull ache in my lower abdomen, almost like my period is coming, but nothing happens.
Is there any chance I could be pregnant, or is it more likely that the stress and this infection are just messing with my cycle?

Hey there.
I've got a question. My period was super late this month—like, I didn't have anything at all in October, but then suddenly it hit me in November.
I was dealing with some serious cramps this morning too, and nothing helped... not even a heating pad or just lying down, so I basically just waited for it to pass on its own and eventually it did. Now I'm stuck having to swap out pads every
two hours. I’m feeling a little bit of that discomfort again right now, though it's not nearly as bad as it was this morning. Is this actually normal? Usually, I don't deal with stuff like this; I just get a little ache on the first day, which usually clears up by the morning, but lately, it keeps being late... Thanks for any help.

Hello, everyone. I find myself in a bit of a dilemma and was hoping someone who has dealt with a similar situation might offer some guidance. 🙂

I have an appointment scheduled with my gynecologist, but the issue is that the day of my exam actually falls on the sixth and final day of my period. When I originally booked the appointment, I was certain I wouldn't be bleeding on that day, but I've realized that I actually will be. 🙂
I have been taking Diane 35 for about a year now. The purpose of this visit is to undergo a routine checkup—specifically an ultrasound and a Pap smear—and to discuss switching to a lower-dose pill, as I am ready to move away from Diane 35. I still have one and a half packs left. My initial thought was to simply continue the medication without taking a break, but I am concerned that even if I skip the break, my period might not show up as expected. Additionally, since I am having an ultrasound, I am worried about whether any potential issues, such as cysts, might be visible if I don't have my regular cycle this month. 🙄

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some insight on a situation I've been dealing with... I’ve been on Lindanet for just over two years now, and I always take my pill right at noon. For the longest time, my withdrawal bleeding would consistently start on the 24th day of my cycle—usually around midnight on Friday night heading into Saturday morning. It was incredibly predictable like that. However, over the last three or four cycles, things have shifted. The bleeding now starts about 12 hours later than usual, kicking in around noon on Saturday instead. On top of that, while my period used to wrap up by day 28, it’s now lasting an extra day or two longer than it used to. This sudden shift in timing has me feeling a bit thrown off, and I would truly appreciate it if someone could help me understand why this might be happening.

Hey there.
I was taking Duphaston back in October to deal with some spotting, but that cleared up—not because of the Duphaston, actually, but because of some herbal teas I was drinking. After that, my period arrived right on schedule on day 28.
The following month, it showed up a few days early, around November 20th.
Then, in December, it just didn't come at all. A few days ago, though, I noticed a tiny bit of blood for one day, followed by some light brown discharge over a couple of days, mostly when I was straining.
To give you some context, I've dealt with irregular cycles for years. Last year, I actually went six whole months without a period.
So, here’s what I’m wondering: can stress cause a period to skip entirely, and what’s the deal with this light brown spotting?
Normally, my periods are quite heavy and tend to last about a week.
Sometimes I get a lot of brown discharge, but that usually happens right before my actual flow starts.

I feel absolutely terrible. I can't even lean back against anything without it hurting—it’s pure agony. And I already know what's coming—a massive, painful period.

I haven't had my period in 52 days.
My cycle used to be very regular, usually coming in every 35 days. I've also been dealing with a yeast infection recently, and while I'm almost finished with the treatment, my period still hasn't shown up. Should I be concerned?

About a month and a half ago, I had sex (right on my ovulation day, unfortunately) and my boyfriend didn't finish inside me. My period arrived normally afterward, but then on day 18 of my cycle, I dealt with this reddish-brown discharge that lasted about three days, along with some stinging. Now, my period is already seven days late. While I don't necessarily feel like I'm pregnant, there's still a possibility, right? In the past, I've usually just dealt with minor infections or inflammation. I don't have an appointment with my OBGYN for another two weeks, so I'm looking to get your thoughts first.

Hi everyone.
I understand that passing blood clots during a period is generally considered normal, but I find myself wondering at what point this might become a cause for genuine concern?
My period started today, and due to certain circumstances, I had to use a pad... there was only a tiny amount of blood on the pad, literally just a few drops throughout the entire day. What is worrying me, though, is that I only seem to experience bleeding—specifically with clots—when I go to the bathroom to urinate. It seems as if there isn't much blood on the pad because these clots might be interfering with the usual flow. It was actually quite unsettling when it happened again while I was in the shower just a moment ago. 😲
Has anyone else perhaps experienced something similar?
