Charles Wright said:I would appreciate it if anyone with accurate information regarding the procedure for changing one's primary care physician (whether you call it general practice, family medicine, or whatever the current standard term is) could let me know what steps I need to take. To be blunt, I have been dealing with incompetence, rudeness, and a complete lack of professionalism from my current doctor for years now, and I would like to transition to a new provider as soon as possible.

The process is quite straightforward: you select the new doctor you wish to switch to, and their office staff will complete the necessary paperwork for you to submit to Medicare. Once that is filed, the change is officially recorded, and you are all set.

Once Medicare signs off on the paperwork, you still gotta swing by your old doctor's office to grab your files. Hand those over to the new doc along with the stamped forms... easy enough.

I'm looking for recommendations for a solid private immunologist or rheumatologist in Spalato.

My take? The new doctor usually handles all that legwork, so there shouldn't be any need for the patient to bother with Medicare directly.

Hope people are still reading this thread and actually replying once in a while... 😁

I'm looking for a recommendation for a pediatric ophthalmologist in Washington, D.C.—specifically someone who knows how to handle kids dealing with styes or chalazions. Honestly, first-hand advice would be worth its weight in gold right now: who should I even be talking to? Thanks in advance.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good pulmonologist in Washington, D.C.?
It would be wonderful to find someone who is also experienced with autoimmune inflammatory conditions, like collagen diseases.

It would be awesome if they actually knew their stuff regarding autoimmune inflammatory diseases (collagenoses) too.

Looking for private practice or someone at a public hospital?

It's handled through a referral via Medicare.

Hey there. Looking for some insight—I just had an MRI done and received the official report from the clinic where I went in, but then I got a second opinion from a radiologist at my local hospital, and the two interpretations are worlds apart.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a specific clinic or a reliable radiologist where I can take my existing scans to get a definitive reading. It’s regarding an elbow injury, so any recommendations for a hand and upper extremity orthopedic specialist would be appreciated too.
Thanks

Honestly, I wouldn't mind either one, provided they actually do a good job... Thanks.

Any recommendations? Anyone know a good dermatologist who specializes in dermoscopy? You can either go through Medicare with a referral or just pay out of pocket, honestly—given how insane the waiting lists are right now, you might not have much of a choice if you want to see someone soon. Washington, D.C.?

Dr. Jurakić Tončić over at Shalat. My only gripe is that the wait times for an appointment are pretty brutal.
