I'm looking for a recommendation for a pediatric ophthalmologist in Washington, D.C. specifically for kids dealing with styes or chalazions. It would be amazing if anyone could share their firsthand experience—who's actually worth seeing? Thanks in advance!

Old question, but hey, maybe someone else needs this later.
Try Vinogradski, either Dr. Bačani or Škunca!
We ended up at the emergency eye clinic at Vinogradski first. They gave us some drops and ointment, then sent us over to the pediatric clinic. The wait wasn't bad and they were fine. Usually, they just monitor things and stick with the ointments and drops since it tends to clear up on its own in kids (it did for our little girl). If it doesn't go away, they just do a minor outpatient procedure once the kid is a bit older.

Hey there, does anyone have a solid dermatologist recommendation for the Miami area or somewhere nearby? Just one thing—please don't suggest Kljaković-Gašpić. I’ve been seeing her for years and all she did was pile me with antibiotics. To be fair, the acne on my face is mostly under control now thanks to Accutane, but the issue has just migrated to my scalp and along the edges of my face where my beard grows in. Thanks.

Hey, can anyone hook me up with a good dermatologist in New York City? Feel free to slide into my DMs with suggestions!

My gynecologist basically told me I need to get my face checked out because of all this redness—suspecting rosacea. Before I go trekking to my primary care doctor to beg for a referral (since paying out-of-pocket for private clinics right now is basically a robbery), I figured I'd ask if you guys have any favorites you swear by. 😉

Also, how does this even work? Like, what exactly am I supposed to ask my doctor for to make sure they actually send me to a specialist? This is my first time ever dealing with a dermatologist, so I’m flying totally blind here. I don't really know the drill when it comes to anything outside of those fancy private clinics that charge an absolute fortune just to look at you, let alone actually treat you. 😲

I'm looking for some recommendations for a solid neurologist for a 15-year-old. Doesn't really matter if it's private practice or through Medicare, I guess. Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for an urgent recommendation for a solid neurologist in Seattle.
Private practice is perfectly fine; I don't have a preference.

Thanks so much!

Since the waitlist for a neurologist at Klaićev is stretching all the way into early 2020, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good private neurologist in New York City.
Thanks a bunch.

I've been fighting windmills for two years now... hospitals, doctors, administration—you name it. And I finally hit a wall because my cardiologist is too busy chasing a political career to actually help me. My request for surgery abroad was just rejected by a 2:1 vote. I’ve got an aneurysm and aortic dissection running all the way down from the aortic arch to where the aorta splits into the groin. I'm looking for recommendations for the absolute best vascular or cardiac surgeon in America who handles cases this intense, if anyone here has any experience. Since they don't even attempt surgeries this complicated here, if my appeal gets denied, I guess I'll just be their guinea pig. Thanks.

If anyone here has actually dealt with something similar, I'd value your insight. Since such a complicated procedure isn't typically performed here, if my appeal gets denied, I’ll be left with no choice but to become a guinea pig for local surgeons. Thanks.

Hmm, the only name that comes to mind is Dr. Vinko Vidjak, an interventional radiologist over at Mayo Clinic. He comes highly recommended. He takes on those "impossible" procedures and pulls them off quite successfully. It might be worth trying to get in touch with him.

Does anyone know a solid dermatologist in Seattle? I previously saw Irena Stanišić based on a recommendation I found here, but she’s retired now. I have no idea if her daughter, who took over the practice, is any good.

Hey everyone!

Does anyone happen to know how to get an appointment with Dr. Bosnić, the rheumatologist-immunologist? I know she has a private practice somewhere, but I can't find a phone number or anything online. If anyone knows how to book a visit with her, please let me know... thanks a bunch!

I'm looking to find a primary care physician in Washington, D.C.—ideally somewhere over in the Trešnjevka area.
Does anyone have a recommendation they could share?
Specifically, does anyone know of a doctor who is currently accepting new patients?

Hey, can anyone give me a recommendation for a good pulmonologist or maybe a private clinic where I can get all my tests done in one go? Thanks!

I am seeking recommendations for a reliable pharmacologist in Washington, D.C. Specifically, I would appreciate hearing about anyone’s direct experience with a specialist who accepts Medicare 🙂

Rebro - Dr. Likić, Dr. Turk, or Dr. Auspurger.

Thank you. I certainly hope those mediocre reviews over on the Doktok portal don't carry much weight; I've already managed to track them down there.

I am quite unsure of the appropriate section for such an inquiry, so please forgive me for posting it here.

Should the moderator feel this topic would be better suited elsewhere, I kindly ask that you relocate it accordingly.

I find myself wondering: what have the experiences been like for those patients currently under the care of Dr. Trpimir Morić? As he is a specialist in proctology—focusing specifically on surgical procedures regarding the rectum and anal area—I would value any insights regarding his practice at Rebro. He accepts outpatient appointments every Thursday, and since I am scheduled for my very first visit, I am eager to know how I should best prepare myself.

Would it not be helpful if I could hear your thoughts? Every single response will be held in incredibly high regard and will be truly precious to me.
