If you're hunting for a doctor recommendation, please don't go starting a whole new thread just for that—just drop your question right here instead.
Also, heads up that any other threads about this stuff will be moved over to this one. Thanks!🙂

Thanks for any info. 🙂

Alright, here goes.
I can't recommend Dr. Vlast Nemet-Krznarić enough. She’s a GP over at the Central Health Center on Runjanin Street (right near Mihanovićev). Unlike some doctors who play games where you call them up just to demand specific meds whenever you feel like it, she actually does things by the book. She’ll tell you to come in for an exam so she can assess the situation herself. She’s thorough, kind, and calm—always takes the time to answer questions and explain things clearly. Honestly, I actually prefer that you have to book an appointment a few days in advance (unless it’s an emergency); it means when you show up, you aren't stuck waiting more than 15 minutes.
Also, there's a fantastic dentist right there on Runjanin Street, Dr. Kristina Iveta - Rajčić.

There are people..
Not sure if you just need a GP or a dentist too? If it's the dentist—run from Dr. Mandić as fast as your legs can carry you... the whole neighborhood has trauma from her. I heard there's a great new dentist in town, maybe try him instead..
As for the GP—stay away from Dr. Bežovan.. I wouldn't know about the others since I see her myself..

Fine. Now I know where not to go. 😁

And yes, I am looking for a GP. I already have a solid dentist.

I’m seeing Dr Kršek (my gynecologist) and honestly, I’m really happy with him. He’s located over on Runjanin Street too.

I am actually facing a bit of a challenge myself, specifically regarding my son. He deals with rotational nystagmus, and for years now, we have been going to Rebro. They utilize computer-aided vision control, but finding the right glasses for him has always been an uphill battle. Currently, I am feeling quite lost trying to figure out our next steps because I haven't heard of anyone else possessing that specific type of equipment. We did consult with Kraljević, but he prefers not to get too deeply involved in this particular approach; while he does have the device, he suggested that we would be better off seeing a specialized ophthalmologist instead.
The real issue with our visits to Rebro is that they consistently—and I mean *always*—schedule us for daily eye exercises. It requires us to head up there for two hours every single day, which, when you consider his school schedule and extracurricular activities, has become completely unmanageable.
I think I might give the Exact clinic a try since it's quite close to us, and from there, we will see what happens regarding the glasses...

Well, I finally managed to get through on the phone today, though it was quite a struggle. The line was constantly busy, but I simply refused to give up. It turns out they have a specialized pediatric clinic that only operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Fortunately, I’ve managed to secure an appointment for tomorrow. The lady who answered the phone was rather unpleasant—honestly, one has to practically interrogate her just to extract any useful information. She wouldn't even mention that a referral isn't necessary since they don't accept them, nor would she disclose the cost of the exam until I really pressed her for details. Generally speaking, the price for an eye exam depends on what the ophthalmologist needs to check; it ranges from $250 up to $117. So now, I am quite curious to see how everything unfolds tomorrow. I will certainly keep you all posted. Oh, and one more thing—the woman also mentioned that they have both male and female ophthalmologists on staff, and they offer those computer-based diagnostic tests, though apparently, those aren't specific to children but are just part of the doctor's standard toolkit...

Hey there! 😁DD

I’ve had an awesome experience with Dr. Masnec over on Vinogradski, so I definitely recommend her.

The Dental Clinic on Runjanin Street, number 10 (right by the corner), is run by Maro Franušić.

They are very pleasant people; you can always ask them anything you need. They offer private appointments, but they also accept Medicare, which makes things more affordable...

I definitely recommend them.

The Ginoderm gynecological clinic on Vlaška (number 91) is excellent—at least in my experience. The prices are reasonable, the doctors are on-site, and you can always give them a call if you need anything.

I also recently moved here, and I was lucky enough to find some truly wonderful doctors close to my apartment in Downtown...

Does anyone know if there’s an ENT specialist in San Francisco I could see privately without needing a referral from my primary doctor, and if so, where exactly should I look?

I was wondering if anyone might be able to recommend a reliable private dentist who also accepts Medicare, preferably located around the New Chicago area. If you have any suggestions, I would truly appreciate it.

Thank you🙂

I'm not entirely sure if Baltić takes Medicare—so, if you're actually serious about this, you should probably just give them a call and ask directly.. best of luck...

I completely forgot to mention! We visited the Dental Clinic earlier. It had such a pleasant atmosphere—not crowded at all—since it’s a private practice. They have one or two small rooms there that I assume are used for checkups or minor procedures.
The exam itself took about an hour. We went through everything, including testing with two different machines and checking his prescription by having him read from a book. And—get this—he scored a perfect five on everything! The exam $83 was thorough, though from what I observed, the pricing isn't fixed; the people in before us were paying different amounts.
They actually have their own optical shop right in the courtyard, but we decided to head over to that Hektorovićev place for the "look look sav biti 50 %" deal 😉. Everything was 50% off, including almost all frames.
We picked out a really modern, slim black and red frame for my son, complete with the prescription, anti-scratch coating, and blue light protection for computer use—all of that came to $433. However, I should note that the lenses alone cost about $283. Because my son has albinism and nystagmus, they had to custom order them, so I imagine it would be much more affordable for someone else. Now we're just waiting; they told us they’d give us a call in about 7 to 10 days once the glasses arrive.

A doctor at the Central Health Center on Runjanin Street gave me a list of recommendations for a GP: Dr Kožar-Maras Biserka, Dr Paljan Jasna, Dr Kršek, and Dr Žagmeštar.

I guess if anyone here has any experience with them or even just some info, I’d really appreciate it. 🙏

Hey guys, what kind of stuff do you actually go to the dermatologist for? Like, is he the right person to see if I want to get a mole removed or something?
