RiDent, I'm not sure if you happened to notice their new spot over in Tucson. It’s a dental practice that used to be part of Medtronic, but they've recently relocated right across from the Tucson Public Library 🙂

Hey guys, is it actually normal for my teeth to be super sensitive to hot and cold two months after getting white fillings?
I went to a private dentist—everything looks great, they even have an intraoral camera in the office. But still...

Thanks... in the meantime I figured out that Simon is still around, so I ended up switching over to them. Honestly, at the end of the day, I just don't care which dentist I see, as long as they actually know their stuff, have the experience, and aren't working out of some basement with outdated gear. Thanks for getting back to me!

In my experience, it took about four months before the sensitivity to hot, cold, or hard foods finally subsided, so I guess it might just be perfectly normal. Everything feels fine now!

I’ve dealt with chronic lower back pain for years—it was constant, painful, and quite frankly, exhausting. I bounced around doctors for ages without much luck, eventually just accepting the pain as part of my daily routine.
A few days ago, I finally decided to give a chiropractor (Shantek) a shot. After our first chat, he mentioned my case was a bit unique, but after just three sessions, I feel incredible. The guy is great—sure, he’s a little pricier than others, but I don't mind paying for results. Looking back, I can't believe I wasted all those years suffering needlessly.

Vjekoslav Bolkovac is easily one of the top chiropractors and osteopaths on the planet.
He’s based out of Cleveland, but he heads up to NYC once a month for a few days to work at the Hotel InterContinental.

Anyone got a recommendation?

My buddy's tooth started acting up a few days ago. It was Saturday, so he just hit up one of those clinics that stays open late (one over on Potomac, right by SC). The dentist there opened up one of his teeth, put some kind of medicated filling in it, and told him to come back in a few days. I don't get it—every dentist I've ever been to would've just fixed it right then and there without needing some temporary stuff. Anyway, he's still in pain, though he can't even tell which tooth it is. He went back today, they did some X-rays, and long story short, they ended up finding three different teeth were messed up 😲 and she opened all three of them 😲 😲 😲

And now, it's hurting again tonight. Honestly, what kind of hacks was he dealing with? Has anyone else had issues with this clinic?

Also, please suggest a legit, reliable dentist. If he keeps going to these people, he’ll be wearing braces by next month.

It sounds like he probably needs a root canal. When they perform that procedure, it's standard practice to apply a sedative medication to kill the nerve and then put in a temporary filling. If the pain is unbearable before his next appointment, he could try carefully removing the temporary filling with a small needle and placing a bit of cotton in the tooth while he eats... believe me, it really does help. I remember once when my dentist was doing a root canal, I had to visit him every two days. Each time, he would reapply the medication and tell me that if the pain became too much to handle, I should just take the filling out myself and use cotton while eating. It wasn't until he finished the entire nerve extraction and placed the permanent filling that things settled down, so it’s actually quite common... 😉
As far as recommendations go, I'm not entirely sure since I go to a place in the suburbs covered by my insurance, but I do know one fantastic dentist over on Vicksburg where I had a zircon crown done. His name is Ivankovic, and his number is 615-6816. They offer discounts for students, and the guy runs a top-tier practice that isn't overly expensive. It might be worth giving him a call to ask! 😉

Are you seriously suggesting a community health center? 😲 There’s this one dentist there who has been absolutely wrecking kids' teeth for generations.

Yes, it's at the community health center, but I'm not seeing that particular lady; my dentist is this incredibly talented guy and he's been wonderful...😉

Man, I feel so much better now knowing that😁. Seriously, that woman is a straight-up nightmare—I know so many people around here who had their teeth absolutely wrecked by her.😢
