Wasn't that Rosberg? 😁

Vettel had already blown past them, so he’s clearly not the issue here. But Hamilton? He overtook both vehicles, and it was obvious he did it after crossing the line where he wasn't supposed to, which is why he got penalized. The problem is, once again, the penalty hit too late to actually change anything. It didn't impact his position, so he basically snatched second place in a totally unfair way instead of finishing where he actually belonged—like seventh or eighth... Alonso and Massa ended up stuck behind the official cars and lost a massive amount of time because they weren't allowed to overtake unless those green lights flashed (and they obviously didn't). Thank God Alonso is complaining; honestly, I kind of find it refreshing. I’ve always preferred drivers who don't mince words and aren't afraid to speak their minds when things feel off!
What really bothers me is what was happening back there and why these nine drivers are under investigation. Button mentioned that during that specific lap, he didn't even notice any spots where he should have been braking earlier or slowing down...

stormybadger8 said:What on earth 🤷 why would there even be two SCs on the track 😕
But man, what a weird situation. Vettel is leading the pack before those two silver cars even hit the track, and Hamilton is running parallel to them while they aren't even out yet. This is definitely ridiculous 🤷
Half of them have already pitted and the SC is only just coming out 🤷
All in all, it's just messy. What kind of kid waits around for an SC like that? 😕 Was the driver stuck in the pits or what? Seriously, Webber almost wrecked nearly two laps ago. This whole thing is pointless, and honestly, I don't get why Alonso and Massa are braking like that 🤷. They could have driven perfectly and nobody could have touched them 🤔
Frank Collins85 said:Did Grandpa manage to set some kind of fastest lap toward the end there? The race car is clearly struggling compared to Red Bull, McLaren, and even Ferrari. So, as those three bright sparks pointed out, was he basically just running a little test session while he had an empty track in front of him?
If your eyes are hurting, trust me, you haven't seen anything yet. You really haven't. 😍

Whenever a Safety Car comes out, it’s difficult to compute all the information. There are all these beeps in your ear, and lights flashing on your dashboard too.

If they're actually right—and honestly, they might be—then this whole race was just one massive organizational disaster, easily the worst we've seen in years...

And here we go, an explanation from Lewis himself 🙏Whenever a Safety Car comes out, it’s difficult to compute all the information. There are all these beeps in your ear, and lights flashing on your dashboard too.
Hahaha 😂😂😂
I mean seriously, how can you not love him? 🤣

“Into Turn One, I was very close to Sebastian Vettel, I went for the gap, I out-braked him and we went into the corner side-by-side. He gave me room, but we touched and the contact damaged my front wing. When the Safety Car came out, the team did a great job to change the nosebox and tyres. After that my pace was much better and I was able to push Seb, but it’s impossible to pass around here when the cars are so closely matched. Whenever a Safety Car comes out, it’s difficult to compute all the information. There are all these beeps in your ear, and lights flashing on your dashboard too. There’s got to be a certain time between the ‘Safety Car One’ line and the ‘Safety Car Two’ line, and between those two lines you can go fast. So it’s all a bit complicated. So I pushed past the last Safety Car line, and was obviously then trying to close the gap to Seb. But as I came out of the first corner, all of a sudden I saw the Safety Car coming out, so I backed off and went across the line as I did that, so I thought I was okay. When the team told me I had a drive-through penalty, I made time by pushing as hard as I could, and was able to increase the gap a bit to the guys behind. I took my penalty - it’s quite a long time to spend at 37 miles/h in the pit lane - and I came out second. I don’t see how that’s unfair - it’s racing, and those are the rules, and we all have to accept them.”
