amberorca192 said:I won't quote him directly... since he brought up LSD, it’s worth noting that when people talk about "getting hooked," there's actually zero tolerance built up with LSD (meaning you don't need five times the dose after five years to feel the same thing). Plus, it doesn't cause any kind of addiction whatsoever. Still, we're talking about the most potent psychoactive substance out there—and hey, it turns 64 this year (give or take five years from when it was first used).

Exactly. LSD has absolutely zero physical impact on the body like most other drugs do (you know, stuff that hits your nerves or cardiovascular system).
It just pushes your consciousness down toward the delta frequency 🙂 (since we usually hang out in beta)
If I remember correctly, it was perfectly legal for about 30 years.

Smart people get hooked and idiots get hooked. Being unable to control your own state of consciousness or failing to find an interest in life usually has nothing to do with how sharp your mind is.

I wasn't trying to contradict you, I just brought it up after you quoted him regarding whether LSD addiction or tolerance exists (it does, but it's temporary—meaning if I drop 200 micrograms of LSD right now, another 200 five hours later won't hit me the same way)🙂.

And sure, heroin addiction might not depend on intellectual capacity, but it's definitely true that smarter people can get pulled in harder simply because they’re more prone to experimenting.

I wouldn't have any issues with beta or the delta, but when it comes to LSD itself... 🤣

Use with caution 🙂

LSD stayed legal until the late 60s. The CIA used it heavily in their own testing (just use Google to find more 😉), and half of Pfizer was basically riding the wave after they discovered it. It was tested extensively on smart people—artists, psychiatrists, you name it—specifically because of how it shifts consciousness. That’s where "Delta" comes from, which is why it's such a staple in Goa trance music for inducing trances.

Anyone talking trash about this stuff without ever having tried LSD is just a total moron in my book. Even for anyone with an ounce of education or a psyche deeper than the trance you get at a Thompson's concert, it's easy to see the value.😉

But hey, what do I know? Maybe you've run into more cases like that than I have. 🙂
Everything I've observed around me actually supports my theory—honestly, the theory came from observing this in the first place.
I don't have any direct experience with getting hooked on things, thank God, but I do know that after trying any drug, I eventually reached a point where I became much more interested in something else entirely.
I don't regret it. If anything, I'm glad I know what's what. I'm glad I don't look at people on drug forums like they're idiots, and I don't feel this constant urge to lecture everyone about how harmful drugs are.🤣
Honestly, I don't see much difference between smoking a few joints and doing a line on a summer night. Though, for a long time now, I've preferred sticking to weed, but still...😁

Brandon Castillo4 said:Kudos. And good luck with the fight against your illness.

Otherwise, credit where credit is due to those here who have actually overcome drug addiction. I'm not going to beat my chest because I DIDN'T go through that, nor am I going to judge, spit, fight, or look down on anyone. Who am I to do that? Who is ANYONE to act superior over another person?

Pure hypocrisy, that's what it is.

But fine, I'll risk being characterized by (some) as some backward person stuck in the past—it hurts, but I can't stay quiet.

Nowadays, you aren't even allowed to argue about anything because political correctness—and no, I don't mean personal computers—has ruined everything. Today, everything is an insult to someone, and everything is just "someone's lifestyle choice," a part of a culture that shouldn't be touched lest its "authenticity" be threatened.

That's why Scientologists and Jehovah's Witnesses defy medicine, and why today, the fun for losers whose brains have been eaten away by boredom consists of drugs, brawling, hooking up, and stuff like that.

Nobody is saying everyone has to spend their lives honing talents or figuring out how to be more successful tomorrow. Nobody *has* to be a conformist and think about having a family with two kids, a Golden Retriever in the yard, and a BBQ every weekend if they don't want to.

But you can kiss my ass before I start nodding along to morons like the OP, whom I am 150% certain is a TROLL, starting a discussion that clearly has no end just because "what's the harm in arguing if I haven't tried drugs?"

I don't need to try it (taking psilocybin once is a nothingburger, and I'd insult people who actually had to struggle with real issues if I claimed I had "tried" it). I drank enough when I was a teenager to tell you today that it's crap; I've seen people spin roulette for 35 minutes and bleed out up to 60,000 Euros. With my own damn eyes, I saw a man lose 140,000 Euros at the roulette table. I personally put down 20 $0.00 and lost it all within the next 3 hours.
I spent nights in casinos at the roulette table, and so what? Should I say it was actually great because, hey, there's this awesome adrenaline rush that's better than sex?

That’s total bullshit. Every single addiction is bullshit. A habit involving cigarettes, your morning coffee, and the newspaper isn't going to kill anyone. But heroin? That ruins lives. Honestly, thank God and pure luck that some people are actually here with us today instead of six feet under. I know for a fact that Will is a solid guy—from what I’ve gathered through this forum and hanging out at a party once or twice.

But just because I'm saying this doesn't mean I'm afraid of looking unrefined. I’m speaking up because I don't think I am. I don't judge a person based on whether they used drugs, gambled, drank, or whatever other mess they got into in their past.

I truly don't give a damn.

But man, if I'm reading today's social etiquette correctly, you have to be careful not to accidentally mention that drugs are garbage. Apparently, if you haven't personally tried them, you don't have the right to an opinion. Look, I agree 100% that you shouldn't judge PEOPLE in a condescending, knee-jerk way. But saying drugs are shit isn't about attacking someone's character; it's about the fact that they lead to social isolation and self-destruction in every aspect of life. It might not happen in every single case, but it's definitely happening more often than with a cigarette or a cup of coffee someone knocks back while grinding through an eighty-hour work week.

Cheers.

Look, I don't regret a single moment I spent getting high. But man, do I regret every single time I stepped foot into a casino. I started playing poker back in sixth grade, and because of that habit, I ended up racking up about 300 unexcused absences before I even hit middle school.

So now when someone who’s never even touched a substance tries to pass judgment, I have to wonder: what exactly are they qualified to judge? I spent 15 years deep in it. I’ve tried every possible drug in every way imaginable. I’ve hit states of consciousness that most of these idiots talking trash don't even know exist. I’ve lived through things that only happen in that world, coming out the other side with enough life experience to offer a perspective—if only I were talking to someone who actually knew what they were talking about.

I'm curious, though. What’s this supposed "negative side"? What’s this whole stigma against addicts and narcophiles all about? I’d love for one of these keyboard warriors to explain why we're such easy targets for contempt. 🙂 And where does all this hatred come from? We aren't even throwing it at anyone else.

It’s even more fascinating watching people who have absolutely zero connection to drugs try to weigh in, basing their entire argument on nothing but assumptions.

Dropping a line like "the wise learn from others' mistakes, while fools learn from their own" is honestly one of the dumbest things I've ever read on this forum, and I've read over half the posts here. If I were being generous, I'd call that the quintessential "small-town guy in a trucker hat eating BBQ just because he thinks it's his birthright" kind of statement. 🙏 🙏 🙏

I’d love to sit someone down with 3x 120 microgram LSD and see where all that supposed wisdom, self-control, and those weekly trips to Mass come in handy for their psychological development as a devout Catholic.

You're introduced to LSD, and it's not like taking some other drug for instance
like marijuana or something, hm, well, you know, it's altogether a new thing,
and you actually can have a religious experience, and, hm, and it can be even
more important than reading the Bible six times or becoming a Pope or something
like that, you know...

I don't know about trance music, but I definitely know about the delta 😁
Supposedly, it was banned because the authorities realized just how dangerous it actually is. People were becoming—well, more awake. 🙂

Before anyone decides to crucify me for saying this, please remember that there are two sides to every coin. I'm not denying that drugs can be harmful, not at all (that's the dark side), but sometimes I really wonder why it's ACTUALLY prohibited.

they are afraid that there is more to reality than they have ever confronted.

Do you really think there isn't anything better in your life than those drugs? 😉

Personally, I've never messed with heroin, but I've been around most drugs.
Fine. But definitely not enough to get a real rush. 👍

err, nah, I just know I'd probably dig it—you know, just a little... maybe seeing myself in that crowd of people who'd get addicted fast, I don't know... I mean, obviously there are better things in life (😉), but, idk... I'm kind of scared of it... like what this text from that Mr. Willard guy above me says... hmmm...🙄 I think I'm kinda in that group... damn!

as for LSD, I'm totally out of the loop—have no clue which drugs are stronger, weaker, or whatever—so I just randomly mentioned the first one that popped into my head... sorry for being clueless!!! 😢 peace!

amberorca192 said:If you people who don't touch anything even came close to realizing how many people are actually using—whether it’s legal stuff, illegal stuff, or just people messing around with certain substances—your little bubble of perceived safety would pop so fast it’d be a beautiful sight to behold. Trust me, until you're actually in this world, you'll NEVER believe someone is high until you see them standing right next to you at the local corner store where you buy your gear. And that's not even mentioning the other stuff out there.

Facts... I’m not exactly a narcissist, but I've seen it with my own eyes!!! Back in freshman year of high school, it was a total shock when someone would get wasted—and imagine when I first heard about weed... back in sophomore year I honestly thought you had to report all that to the cops, I don't know, I figured it barely existed... (since I was so sheltered... my parents didn't even let me out much until the end of freshman year... so yeah... I was a little, as they say, clueless, hehe 🙄) but now that I've hung out in those circles, I know enough to know that my whole view of the world—including drugs—has TOTALLY changed!!! Because I realized, like people say, that most people have NO CLUE how many people are just constantly on something... I mean, if you go out on a Saturday night, it feels like like 60% of the people are on something... (at least in my small town, hehe) and yeah... sooo, I am signing off on that statement big time!!!

It’s not that you aren't smart, you're just bitter. And honestly? I just feel sorry for people like that.😘

What makes your mom, or anyone else who is sick, more deserving of therapy than an addict? Is it based on your vision of "everyone is responsible for their own mess"? By that logic, even veterans with PTSD are just their own fault for lighting themselves on fire. Who forced them to defend the country just so some punks could go out and get high? If you actually knew how many of those guys ended up on drugs—and not just the good stuff, but actual prescription meds—maybe you wouldn't be talking this much trash.

But like I said, you're bitter, so I get it. And don't be mad at me; I don't hate you. I just have a very direct, raw way of posting.🙂

You nailed it!!!!!! You’re basically equating cancer patients with addicts—comparing people fighting for their lives to people who just can't handle themselves! So what, since I had cancer, I guess I should have just died so you junkies could have a better time!!!!!

Yeah, sure. You "seasoned" addicts show so much "love" to the kids by feeding them drugs and profiting off creating a whole new generation of junkies... and you know it. That’s why you flip-flop between "it’s amazing, perfect, I can't even explain it to rehab centers" and "I finally got clean, thank God." You deserve the contempt because you keep pushing product and expanding the circle of vulnerable kids. Even here, on this thread, you're trying to convince them that chemical brain games are just "gaining invaluable life experience."

amberorca192 said:It really does. There are people on this forum ten years younger than me whose first brush with drugs was LSD, and I actually suggested they take two tabs right away (my recommendation would have been three) because I know how people's minds work, and I figured their intelligence wouldn't let them get hurt... and that's exactly what happened. I got a message saying it wasn't even as big a deal as they thought it would be based on the hype.

There’s no crazier way to try to explain to someone what it’ll feel like to get high. First off, what happens is the placebo effect, where people start "experiencing" stuff just because of what they've heard. A classic example is coke, which in my opinion is the most pointless drug (unless it's high quality and taken IV 🙏), and it's easy to convince someone with zero experience (especially if they've been drinking) that they're snorting pure white powder when they're actually just inhaling some cheap trash they paid 400-$200 for.

Oh, beautiful. Apparently, on this forum, you don't just read advice on the best ways to get high—you can actually score through the moderators too. Fantastic! Why don't we just open a dedicated sub-forum with specific threads for every single type of drug, complete with price lists and meet-up spots? And let's definitely include a "student corner" where amberorca192 can prescribe exactly one, two, or three trips based on his own personal assessment of their IQ.

I'm not going to bother commenting further after seeing your post. Just tell me what your actual experience with drugs has been, then maybe we can talk. There's no point debating someone whose arguments are built entirely on assumptions. That's like trying to debate a political science professor about how much I care about the exchange rate in Trinidad and Tobago.

All right.

It makes me wonder, though—if using drugs feels so incredibly good, why is it that people who struggle with addiction, like you, end up in such a difficult position? They definitely know how to drug people, and they certainly have their methods. Is he really struggling that much to let go of him? All good. And why exactly are they so incredibly happy if they actually pull it off?

I know, I know... Now comes the part where everyone says the famous—You really have no idea what’s actually good, and honestly, it seems like you don't know much about anything at all.."

When it comes to the reality of drugs, what you're saying is actually quite true compared to my own experience.

Your other post is idiotic. If my friends had the kind of experience I have now fifteen years ago, and if they could have learned it from me back then, maybe—just maybe—they wouldn't be six feet under right now.

I'm not looking to push anyone toward drugs. Drugs aren't for everyone, even though anyone *can* use them. Just because anyone can train in MMA doesn't mean they'll become a Fedor Emelianenko or a Mirko Cro Cop. Similarly, some people can use drugs heavily for 15 years like I did and come out the other side feeling almost new. I won't pretend it didn't take a toll; my body is trashed from extreme use, but I got lucky with my genetics. My system handled it, and since I stayed active with sports while I was using (weird as that sounds), the training helped balance things out.

If I could judge someone before they ever tried anything, then maybe I could offer suggestions. But I'm definitely not an opponent of drugs, purely based on my own experience. If I were born again and given a choice, I'd do it all over again. I'm not an addict; I'm a drug lover. And to be a drug lover, you need a genetic predisposition. I know people who waited five or six years before touching heroin, yet they ended up having worse withdrawals than I ever did.

Everything I write on this forum is strictly for education. I'm 100% sure that 99% of the anonymous people here wouldn't dare write what I write. So, even if nobody gives a damn about what I have to say, I'll keep posting on this forum (I used to have a blog about it too). I'll always be here to help someone or share what I've been through.

I'm not against drugs, but I'm also not saying they're for everyone.

Quite a lot to unpack. 🙄

Essentially, you seem to be self-destructive.

Who's to say which came first?

Was your drug use a result of your self-destruction, or was the self-destructive behavior actually caused by the damage from the drugs?

Either way—keep an eye out for potential underlying issues.

Nah, maybe I didn't word that quite right. What I'm saying is I don't see any reason why one person gets treated and another doesn't, regardless of the diagnosis. Your personal history doesn't change my point; the government didn't foot the bill for a single one of my treatments—I paid out of pocket. If you've got an issue with addicts getting access to Hepa or Subutex, feel free to take it up with Medicare.

Is it even worth trying to step away when things are going this well?Is there anything more taxing on the human body than pushing it to its absolute limits through extreme substance use? It really makes you wonder about the long-term toll such heavy usage takes on our physical systems. So, am I only considered smart enough to have an equal conversation with you once I've reached that point?

Come on, man, I don't exactly want to waste fifteen years of my life either, especially with you around! The delta of consciousness? What if the ultimate goal is just to find my way back out of this? I want to get to that point where nothing compares to the simple, pure joy of a great BBQ in the backyard. Wouldn't that be the perfect destination? 😁

Don't mess with your body.
