DISASTER

It’s pathetic. The very people who lack basic manners and have zero communication skills act like they own this place. They treat this forum like their own private backyard, throwing around threats of bans against anyone brave enough to question their decisions.

This is some twisted new evolution of the digital age.
If their servers aren't powerful enough to actually handle what they're advertising, they just find a cheap way to fake it instead.
It’s honestly disgraceful. Even after users have voiced their concerns, they still carry themselves like they're somehow superior to everyone else.

So what 😁

Michelle Wilson8 said:That whole grasping at straws thing doesn't really hold water with me anyway, but honestly, can you seriously not see the irony here?

Besides, why did the Topic even need to be shut down?
Give me one logical reason, if you can manage it.
And if you can't... 😍

Are we here for the forum, or is the forum here for us?😕

but there won't be any chatting on those threads for the foreseeable future. 🙂

Can I get just one sensible argument?

Look, for crying out loud, nothing was actually extinguished or shut down—it was just moved.
Keep writing like before (some already have). 😉 )
I honestly don't get any of you. 😕

There are essentially two ways to approach life—you see this most clearly in how people parent: the "why bother" mindset versus the "why not" attitude.

On one hand, look: why shouldn't we just keep the conversation going in the thread even if it’s been relocated elsewhere? But then again, one might equally ask why they bothered moving the thread in the first place. I suppose it's some sort of procedural thing intended for the greater good of the forum, though I personally don't see the logic behind it (not that I see any imminent collapse coming, obviously 🙂).

Now, with all due respect, what exactly makes you think you're even in a position to judge anyone else when you clearly haven't got a clue yourself? 😍

You basically face two types of problems: those you can actually fix, and those you just can't.

rowdyfox12—look, you get it now, but hey, I appreciate you being willing to take us in, even though you know your crowd has completely messed things up here.

Everyone stepping forward feels like they're being discriminated against, and because of that, this whole thing has turned into a Chinese forum, and at this rate, it'll be South Korean before we know it.

I wouldn't even let them in the door right now. Honestly, the best move is to just wipe everything clean and start from scratch so we can actually see who they really are. 😁

Why does the chat on Reddit get wiped after a certain number of posts? Or like on Facebook, for example? 🤷
There’s still a ton of stuff left to delete and move around—I'm not even going to list it all. But if we do this, then OFF topic wouldn't even be "off" anymore; it would be some much nastier place. 😍

And why on earth not just start a new thread? 😬

Because they’d probably just wipe us out entirely 😢 (trust me on this one)

Honestly, at least we still have this thread! One specific thread was basically demolished for no reason—or at least, no reason that made sense to us regular users. Then it was stripped from the main view, apparently left to die in some moderator's digital abyss...🤷 then, because someone specifically asked for its resurrection, it came back. But once people started actually talking again, it mysteriously vanished only to reappear as a PDF file that isn't even appropriate for this space. Threads about deep theories don't really belong alongside panic attacks, psychological development, or messy relationship drama. Oh well, I guess that's just how it goes...🙂

If you happen to be nearby, could you let them know they need to move that soccer player at the top? It's totally blocking my path to the inbox. 😍

All those long-winded explanations from the moderators basically boil down to one thing: It's hard for us to moderate

Maybe it’s just easier to pull three "difficult" topics from the PDF rather than dealing with lazy moderation ☕

Given how massive these topics are and how much traffic they clearly get, I guess it would be fair if someone above the moderators stepped in with a proper explanation

Errare humanum est
But honestly, one day is more than enough to make a mistake like this

Approaching this with a bit of rational energy🙂—as much as I actually possess (well, that might be an overstatement 😁)—regardless of how many disagreements I have with certain moderators, I suppose it is unfair to throw accusations of laziness at them (furthermore, my use of the word "my" here is quite generous 🤣). The reality is that they were being summoned (needlessly, if you ask me) every single time a provocateur showed up. Instead of simply ignoring the trolls, or perhaps engaging them in a verbal showdown—which, frankly, is far more effective than running to the authorities—they were essentially forced to deal with the fallout. It’s a fact that they were doing the work required of them.

It’s a somewhat blunt analogy, but it holds water: it isn't always the fault of the lazy janitors; more often than not, the blame lies with those recklessly scattering trash all over the place.

Yeah, you're right. I agree.
That comparison to sanitation workers is pretty spot on. But I guess, is the solution to move those people who litter, along with their neighbors who constantly report them (instead of just picking up a scrap of paper themselves), to a different city? 🤷
