I have a question. How normal is it to have discharge right before my period starts? This is actually my first cycle taking Duphaston because my periods have been irregular and painful—usually lasting anywhere from 15 to 25 days—and I’ve been taking one tablet a day. It’s been seven days since my last pill. About three or four days ago, I started noticing white discharge with no smell, but today it’s turned clear to yellowish. On top of that, I’m dealing with the usual pre-period aches and really sore breasts... it feels weird because this kind of discharge hasn't happened before my period like this. But since I started on Duphaston, I honestly have no clue what's considered normal anymore and what isn't.🤷

It’s pretty normal, honestly... probably just some kind of discharge. But hey, if it’s actually bugging you or if it keeps going on, just go see a gynecologist. Personally, I think everything sounds fine... 🙂

I'm heading to the gynecologist tomorrow—because of this constant bleeding... I'm honestly terrified.

What do you mean spotting? What happened?

I don't know—it just showed up out of nowhere. After my period, there was this brown discharge, then I had my regular period again right on schedule (on the pill), and now, a few days later, there’s blood mixed with mucus. It wasn't a massive amount, but still, it happened. Just a little bit every day. Maybe it's because of the Candida I deal with constantly. I don't know—I feel like I'm going to lose my mind.

It could be inflammation. My bloody discharge lasted for maybe one day, from noon until evening, and then it was gone. Mine was probably just ovulation... but yours is lasting longer. Are you dealing with any itching or burning down there?

Typical. Especially since my hospital stay back in November—those bathrooms were absolutely revolting. You’ve got kids, seniors, men, women, everyone just mixed together. And only three stalls available... anyway, it's been happening way more often since then, especially considering I have diabetes.

Hi there. I wanted to ask... I have thick white discharge, but there’s no itching. Could this be a sign of Candida, or something else? I actually already saw my gynecologist, and she prescribed three doses of Canesten, but it didn't help at all. Help!

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this normal, or should I be concerned?

Having thick white discharge doesn't always mean you're dealing with Candida.
We’re all different. For instance, I deal with discharge all month long, but the texture and scent shift so much throughout the weeks that it actually surprises me every time.
If your cycle follows that same pattern, it might just be your normal. I stopped stressing about it since it happens to me every single month.
If it really bothers you, though, go see your gynecologist again. They can test the discharge for fungus and extend your treatment if it's actually there.

Aha, that’s exactly what happens to me every month too, which is why I wanted to ask. Thanks so much for the reply! 🙂

Hey there, I’m dealing with something a bit troubling... I was over at my boyfriend's place and we decided to relax a little... He inserted his finger into my vagina, and immediately after that, I felt this intense itching. It did subside after a couple of days, though. There isn't any unusual discharge, but normally I have some kind of discharge every single day. For the last two weeks, however, there hasn't been any noticeable discharge at all, and now I'm wondering if everything is okay. I'm not experiencing any pain, but I just don't understand why the discharge has stopped since it's always been there. Help someone out! 😕

Hey, I've basically had an exception to my routine for as long as I can remember. Every single day—sometimes just a little, sometimes a lot—but I never know what to expect, and honestly, I just can't function without my daily pad! Now that I've managed to skim through most of this thread... is skipping through posts really that bad? Is there even an alternative out there? I seriously can't imagine leaving the house without a pad in my bag. 🙄 🤷

From what I could tell... it was thin, almost transparent, but there was seriously a lot of it.🤷
It's weird. But I'm not going to freak out just yet!🤣

I tend to experience this afterward, though it’s quite a significant amount—watery, clear, and totally transparent... It makes me wonder if anyone else out there deals with this too?

Hey, first off, sorry for posting this here, but I’m getting a little worried... my girlfriend and I had sex, and the next day she was feeling some pain down there and started having this white discharge. It doesn't smell like anything, and honestly, it's just a really small amount. Should I be stressing about this? Please, if anyone knows, help me out!

Most likely ovulation. If she's mid-cycle, it could be ovulation.

I think it’s been about 10 days since her period ended, so she’s probably right in the middle of her cycle. Her stomach was acting up too, but I guess it’s not hurting anymore now.

I’m assuming we're talking about ovulation here. Discharge is a perfectly normal thing for women—it can definitely ramp up during ovulation, though it really varies from person to person. One woman might notice a significant change, while another won't feel a thing. If there's any actual pain involved, maybe she just caught a bit of a chill near her ovaries; she should probably be mindful of how she dresses for the weather. Some women experience those sharp little twinges in their ovaries during ovulation, whereas others don't feel anything at all.
My honest advice, though, is not to take any of these assumptions at face value. If something is bothering him—or if it was bothering her—the only real way to get a straight answer is to go see a gynecologist for a proper exam. 🙂

Ovulation 😉 That happened to me too... maybe because I was "new" to having sex, so my body was just reacting to "new things" 😁 Don't worry, everything is fine. Though, obviously, if the pain lasts more than a week or if anything seems really suspicious—go see a gynecologist 🙂
