Well, if you pick up bacteria from a pool, like ureaplasma for example, you don't get swab results to fix it—you need antibiotics. I guess I'm in the same boat, just waiting to see what happens next.

So... I dealt with those stabbing pains too. At first, my back was killing me so badly I honestly thought it was my kidneys. Went in for an ultrasound, and they told me my kidneys were perfectly fine. Looking back, I connected the dots later—I had stopped taking birth control after a year, and these pains flared up just a few days after I quit. It’s the exact same sensation you're describing: that sharp, stabbing, dull ache, mostly on the right side, though sometimes the left. I actually feared it might be appendicitis, but I don't have any other symptoms. I've got an ultrasound scheduled now, just waiting for my period so I can finally go. About three years ago, I actually ended up in the ER because of intense, stabbing pains—way worse than this. They suspected appendicitis and kept sending me back to the emergency room every single day because they couldn't decide if it was actually my appendix or not. Then, after about five days, the pain just vanished completely. Like nothing ever happened. In the end, they didn't even give me a straight answer...
Anyway, I wondered if this could be happening because I stopped those pills; maybe since my ovaries are trying to function on their own again, things are a bit more difficult, hence the pain. I don't know. My first period after stopping the pill was two weeks late and absolutely brutal.
It's not like I'm in constant pain or obsessing over it, but it's definitely bothersome... more annoying than painful, really.

I haven't touched any birth control pills, even though my doctor suggested them a few years back. But honestly, the pain is back. Today it’s hitting my lower back hard, and it’s shooting down my sides from my waistline, though the back pain is definitely the worst part. At this point, I'm seriously at a loss for what to do.

I was feeling this pulling sensation near my left ovary, stretching down low... just a dull tightness, nothing excruciating, but enough to be uncomfortable when it started acting up. So, I went to see Ginić, and she did an ultrasound and found some free fluid around the left ovary. She told me it looked like some kind of inflammation, handed me two boxes of antibiotics, and that was that—it cleared right up. I’d actually waited two days first, just to make sure I wasn't imagining the pain and the pulling.😍

Lately, I've been feeling this constant pressure, specifically around my left ovary. It isn't a sharp or stabbing pain, just a heavy sensation, almost like there's a stone sitting there. Occasionally, I also get some bloating in that general area, near the ovaries and bladder. I’m waiting for my appointment with the gynecologist, but I wanted to see if anyone else has dealt with similar symptoms. Also, my lower back tends to ache a bit. I am 100% sure I'm not pregnant.
Thanks.

Look, I haven't had a period since July. I'm still waiting on the results from that PAP test I had in mid-August, too. The pain is constant. I feel bloated like I'm pregnant, and my lower back, right ovary, and the area around my belly button are all aching. I actually switched gynecologists, but I can't get an appointment until after November. It’s driving me crazy; my mind is already racing through every worst-case scenario. I tend to spiral into panic when something hurts, especially when it drags on this long.

Couldn't they have scheduled you sooner? I'm worried the same thing might happen to me. I'm currently in the UK, and here you have to see a general practitioner first before they refer you to the hospital to see Ginić. With Christmas and New Year's coming up, I have a feeling I won't get seen until January.
Fingers crossed it's nothing. x

So it’s not any better over there either... my new doctor simply doesn't have any openings. The absolute worst part is if my period ends up being late and finally shows up right when I actually need to be somewhere, after all this waiting.
It’s just like you said, fingers crossed.

I’ve been dealing with a similar issue for about three days now. Honestly, I just feel incredibly bloated, like a balloon ready to burst, and it’s constant. My doctor actually had me come in for an emergency exam three days ago; he told me everything looked fine, though he did perform a PAPA test just to be certain. I can't help but worry that there might be something going on with my intestines, especially since my white blood cell count came back slightly elevated. Of course, I haven't ruled out a bladder infection either. Does anyone have any insight? Help!!!

I actually thought it was my intestines too—my white blood cell count was a little high as well. But the surgeon says I'm fine, and Ginić says I'm fine... I just don't know anymore. This is dragging on way too long.

So, here’s the thing... I’ve got a little situation going on. My period wrapped up about two days ago, but since yesterday evening, I’ve been dealing with this sharp pain strictly on my left ovary side. It honestly feels like someone is taking a hammer to it, you know? Could this actually be ovulation? Just for context, I’m currently taking Glucofarm and Diane.

I went in for my ultrasound today. There wasn't anything clearly defined, just some free fluid present. The technician who performed the scan—yes, they have nurses handle them here in the States—mentioned it could be either an infection or endometriosis (which I really hope isn't the case). So, my next step is heading to my primary care doctor. They'll likely prescribe some antibiotics and then schedule all the necessary swabs and a Pap smear. Something like that.

I'm booked in for next week... honestly, I'm terrified to go... but I know I have to. It really caught me off guard that nurses handle ultrasounds here... actually, maybe it would be better if things worked that way back home too...

Exactly. I know she isn't a gynecologist; she’s more of a nurse or technician trained for this. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. She was incredibly gentle and attentive. I couldn't believe it. The room where everything happened was dimly lit, and she immediately draped a sheet over me, checking in constantly to ask if I was okay or if anything hurt. As for the ultrasound, she just reached out to guide the wand without even needing to look in my direction 🙂. It was a very pleasant experience.

They handle things very professionally and politely. Usually, you see a specialist when you have a diagnosis requiring long-term monitoring or treatment. For everything else, it's handled this way. For example, right now I have to see my primary care physician, who will likely refer me for swabs or prescribe antibiotics immediately, and then they'll take the actual swabs later at the local clinic (which nurses handle there too).

Don't worry too much. It’s actually a relief once it's done. You know you need to do it. And if there is an issue, at least you can start addressing it. I waited three weeks before I finally worked up the courage. It was pointless; I could have dealt with everything right from the start.

Good luck and stay calm 🙂

Gregory Young3, those issues you're talking about... I dealt with the exact same thing when I stopped taking Logest. Your ovaries just aren't used to "working" properly anymore, so they get way more sensitive... I was on antibiotics and Chymoral too. Videces, everything will settle down eventually...

Hi goldenpilot62. It’s probably just some kind of infection. I’ve never had any issues before and I don't use any birth control, but things happen. All I know is that I got freezing cold one day and then everything started. I could really feel that chill right around my ovaries. Hopefully the doctor will see me next week and get me started on some treatment.

My bad, that whole thing about stopping the pills was actually about coastalpuma4... Anyway, when you're dealing with any kind of ovarian inflammation, besides just hitting the antibiotics, you really should be using Chymoral too. It’s basically this combo of trypsin and chymotrypsin used to speed up the healing process for inflammatory stuff; it helps get the blood and lymph circulation back to normal...

So, I’ve got this issue, and honestly, even after digging through everything online, I can't find a straight answer about what's actually going on. Basically, during my checkup with the gynecologist, she spotted some clear fluid and just told me to wait and see if it would just pop or disappear on its own. I couldn't just sit there and do nothing, though, so I went to a private specialist. That doctor told me my uterus has descended and said there's a huge chance I won't be able to get pregnant because of it. Since then, I've gone back to my regular doctor and I've been doing all sorts of tests, taking pills, using vaginal suppositories... but absolutely nothing is changing. Nobody is telling me anything. Nothing at all.
Has anyone else dealt with something like this? Seriously, I feel like I'm going to lose my mind.

You didn't mention where they actually found the cyst—was it on your ovary, uterus, or somewhere else? Sometimes watery cysts just clear up on their own, and sometimes antibiotics help too (if I recall correctly). Don't panic, everything can be managed.

Oh my God!
I really hope everything works out! Because if it doesn't, I'm actually going to lose my mind... I feel like I'm already halfway there!
