Dennis Allen10 said:I am right there with you. I’ve practically done laps around every shop in town trying to find something that actually fits. I finally just gave in and grabbed something from Marks & Spencer, but honestly, even the "plus size" stuff at Target was a bust. And don't even get me started on Kohl's... they have absolutely nothing left.

My only hope is Target. 😁 There’s a small shop near me that carries their stuff, but they’re totally out right now. Does anyone know what the situation is like in Miami? That’s really the only place I could go to find something.

I can't do that... I need everything to be just right, otherwise, I’ll honestly lose my mind.😁 🙄

Have you checked out H&M yet?

Look, are you heading to the coast for yourself or for everyone else? Who cares what people think, seriously. It doesn't matter. All that matters is if YOU feel good.😉

Scott Howard74 said:Why aren't you checking out thrift stores? They’ve got every size under the sun, and half the time they still have the tags on. It's basically brand new stuff from Europe.
Best prices $17

Thanks for the heads-up.
Believe it or not, I've never actually stepped foot in a thrift store. 😬

Not gonna lie, those kinds of stores aren't really my scene. But after hunting for a basic maxi dress for ages and coming up empty, I’m honestly ready to walk into a Spencer’s just to find something.

Got any suggestions on where I should dive in?

If you’re hanging around the downtown area, there are about three spots right there, or maybe two if you head toward the outskirts.

Hey, I’m on the hunt for a two-piece swimsuit—size 52, with a top around a 100/105 E/F cup, depending on how the brand fits. If anyone’s looking to offload one that actually looks decent—meaning it’s barely been worn, obviously—hit me up... 😉

Heads up—everything in the plus size section at the Westgate H&M is currently marked down to $3.25.
We're talking sizes 2XL through 4XL.

Anyone happen to know how long this sale lasts?
Also, does anyone know if other stores have a dedicated plus-size section besides the one at Westgate?

No clue.
Best bet is just to call them up and ask.

There isn't much left on sale over at the West Gate mall lately, I guess $3.25.

Doesn't surprise me one bit.
Managed to snag a thin sweater and some drawstring pants.
Sweater’s fine—pants are two sizes too big, though.
But they have a drawstring, so whatever.
Meanwhile, a dress, a pleated skirt, and some white lace shorts slipped right past me—items I’ve been eyeing since the sales started. They kept dropping the prices on everything else, but not these. They hit $33 and just stayed there. Someone finally grabbed them for $3.25, and I missed out—even though I practically live at H&M.
I swing by on my way home from work, so I usually catch things, but this time I was late.
You can still find decent stuff at Marks & Spencer near the West Gate, too.
On Sunday, I picked up a coat for $77—it was marked down from over 600.
It’s great, fits like it was custom-made for me.
Already own one of their coats and it’s solid. Definitely recommend.

I’m hitting up Westgate tomorrow, mostly looking for some M&S stuff, but I guess I doubt I’ll actually find anything worth my time, honestly probably just gonna bail if it sucks 👎

Look, I know this place is supposed to be about clothes or whatever, but I gotta ask—does anyone actually know where I can snag some decent, budget-friendly winter boots around here?☕

Where can curvy pregnant women shop? 🙂

Before getting pregnant, I was usually a size 14, and I mostly ordered US 16 or 18 from online stores.

But now, my bust measurement has shot up to about 53 inches 🙂 (it was around 47 inches before), and honestly, nobody even realizes I'm pregnant because my chest is so much larger than my bump 🤦—so I have zero clue what to wear once the weather turns cold.

I’ve managed to scrape by this summer in old stretchy dresses, but when autumn hits, I’m going to need actual pants, a big jacket, something.

I’m not holding my breath for a huge selection of my size here in the States, but I’m totally lost with these new measurements and have no idea what size to order. I'm in my second trimester and have only put on about 2 pounds so far. Aside from the massive chest and a tiny little bump, everything else is pretty much the same.

What size should I aim for with a 53-inch bust? Does anyone have similar measurements just so I can get an idea of where I land in standard sizing? (Those size charts are never actually helpful, are they?)

The places I usually shop at—like ASOS, Dept, or New Look—only go up to US 18 in their maternity lines. Dept does carry bigger sizes, but their stuff is always too short in the arms and legs for me since I'm 5'11", so I don't want to deal with looking like I'm wearing someone else's hand-me-downs. Since I doubt I'll fit into a maternity US 18, I'm left looking at plus-size ranges. And I'm clueless there, too, because I usually stuck to regular US 18 since ASOS's plus-size 18 felt way too big on me.

So, my questions are:

1) What size in the plus-size section should I target? Keep in mind the rest of me is still basically a US 18—maybe a 20 now—it's just my chest that went wild. What size should I order so it doesn't look ridiculous or ill-fitting?
2) Do you know any shops that carry plus-size maternity clothes that won't break the bank? Next has maternity up to a 22, but I'm worried I won't even be able to button the tops. Has anyone actually tried their maternity line?

You’ve actually made me remember—back in the day, I ordered this grey coat that I’m fairly certain was maternity wear... but it was on such a massive discount that I figured, why not? In the end, it was way too big for me, so it just sat there gathering dust. I think I was about 20 at the time—maybe 18 or 19—and if memory serves, I bought it from Nordstrom 😁. Man, if only I could dig through my old emails right now to see what the actual deal was
. Found it! If you really want me to, I can go hunting for it 😁. I can't quite remember if it's still at my place in Chicago or if I dropped it off at my mom's house back in the suburbs.

Nimbleheron47, I’m cut from the exact same cloth as you—and I’m not just talking about height.

During my two pregnancies, I survived mostly by living in traps and those fantastic black maternity leggings with the heavy elastane from C&A. I even picked up some maternity shapewear there, which was actually decent. As for tees and tunics, I managed to scrape by, and honestly, I rarely even bothered to zip up my winter jackets. 🙂

If you think your chest size is an issue right now, just wait until after the baby arrives.😉

Thanks for all the replies, Cure. 😘

Especially 😍darkbadger88🙂, who offered up that coat. It sounds sweet—if you have it handy, I’d happily take it off your hands for $20 (though I wouldn't touch a smaller size). 😉

I went browsing through some shops yesterday that carry larger sizes, and a US size 14 feels alright. I picked up a layered jacket from Dick's Sporting Goods—the kind where you can zip out the fleece part—so it should handle different temperatures pretty well. I can button it over my chest, and there's still enough room for the bump, though I doubt I'll be able to close it by the very end.
I also grabbed some maternity leggings from them; the waistband is just a drawstring rather than being super tight, so hopefully, I can wear them under the bump for a good while. They actually have a decent selection in size 14.

I ordered some Mamas and Papas maternity jeans on eBay for about $15, so fingers crossed they fit. I also discovered ASOS has a tiny selection of maternity stuff in US size 14, so I grabbed a few long-sleeved dresses with some stretch—just in case 😬—because a little spandex goes a long way.

Now I still need to hunt down maternity support hose. I think the standard ones we have here won't work since they fit me fine when I'm not pregnant. EDIT: Okay, found a shop that carries maternity support hose in larger sizes. They're a bit pricey (free shipping is the only perk, really), so I'll try to find something cheaper before I dive in.

At this point, shirts are my only real issue, but that's the least of my worries. I'll probably just hit up Target for those basic tees in size 14/16 when they have their XXL sales. Does anyone know what the largest size they carry in those basics is?

I hate spending huge amounts of money on things I'll only wear for a few months. Everything I've ordered has been from sales, mostly in the $10-$$50 range, so hey, I'll make it through.

Oh, just remembered something else—where did you guys buy oversized nightgowns for the hospital? Does anyone know if the local markets carry larger sizes?

I’ll have to track down where I stashed that coat 🙂—it was honestly so darling, which is exactly why I decided to take the plunge and order that maternity piece—but, predictably, it turned out far too oversized for my frame. It’s the 20th—I caught sight of it yesterday while digging through my inbox for the shipping confirmation... 🙂
