There aren't any posts here. Only the Omega Jiu Jitsu club over on Fourth Street puts anything up once or twice a year. Everywhere else, you can just show up without an issue...
Pitbull’s a solid gym. Don't make the same mistake you did with Holy Spirit... they only do Muay Thai.

When it comes to the money side of things, I guess I’d much rather drop that cash on training sessions than waste it on junk food. Maybe it's just me, but I think it's a better call.

Top tier!! You get coaches who actually know their stuff—and more importantly, they actually know how to teach it, which is a whole different kind of skill, I guess. The vibe is great, equipment is solid... easily one of the best gyms in the area. Coaches Miro Jurac and Dino Belosevic are seriously next level.

Do you happen to know when their dates are? I wonder if they even have a website or maybe something on Facebook.

Look, Samuel Allen finished up his training session over there too. You can find the details on the Facebook group here

I think the monthly fee is around $67, just give them a quick Google search and see what you think...

Thanks for the heads-up 👍

Hey everyone!
Got two questions for you: where in downtown can I find a boxing gym near the corner of Seventh and Main?
Also, looking for somewhere else close to that area where I can hit the bags, but ideally with the cheapest membership possible.

Thanks a ton!

Funny enough, I heard Pit Bull in Los Angeles was one of the worst places—not because of the training, but just because the vibe sucked and everyone there acted way too full of themselves. 🙂

You probably heard that from the West Coast branch... you know how those Cali folks are. We even have one right here on the forum who’s just like them

Anyone happen to know what's going on around the Madison Square Garden area or somewhere nearby? Also, what kind of damage am I looking at for a boxing session this Saturday?

Thanks 🙂

What’s the vibe at that Krav Maga club in the States, specifically over at Marjan's place?

Justin Gonzalez87 and I used to train over at PitBull in Miami—back about four years ago when I was still totally clueless—mostly because the place looked decent. I did some digging afterward, and like, 90% of people told me the absolute worst about that gym. But hey, you can't really judge a place until you actually step foot inside, right? So, I’m sticking to my guns and thinking maybe it isn't as bad as everyone says.

Nah, don't listen to him—those guys from the coast are probably just stealing his girls, so he's clearly just salty about it.

I used to train at PitBull ages ago, and even back then, the vibe wasn't exactly top-tier... but look, if all you really care about is the quality of the workout itself, then go for it, I guess... 😉

That's how it goes. People from the coast are pros at soccer and dodging work... let's see how they handle the pitch 😁

Why is there no sign of Black Dragon anywhere except at their own tournament?

If you’re implying that BJJ is lacking, I suspect you're just fixated on the friction with the association, whereas the actual training remains as high-caliber as it ever was...😉

I’m not questioning the quality, the talent is definitely there. But which association? BJJ? hahaha

The grappling association is the only one worth following. BJJ associations are just a joke.

I really need some extra hand wraps. My coach mentioned there’s this thing—sort of like leather gloves or specialized wraps you slide on first, then put your standard wraps right over them. I kinda beat up my knuckles recently, so he suggested getting those to really stabilize my hands. Does anyone know if they carry those here in the States? I checked the Prime website but couldn't find anything at all..

Can anyone give me some advice? I'm thinking about picking up a knee brace.
My knees actually work perfectly fine—it’s just that when we’re doing ground grappling drills, we end up moving around on our knees a lot, and my skin starts getting really irritated... at least, that's how it feels to me...
Some people have told me they wouldn't even recommend them because they might mess with my quad development—like, the muscles won't grow properly or could even end up weakening.
I stopped by Dick's Sporting Goods to try out some Kila braces, but the size Medium was so tight I felt like it was cutting off my circulation—and they didn't even have a larger size in stock. Is it supposed to feel that intense, or should I be looking for a bigger size? Honestly, I'm still totally torn on whether to buy them or not...
