I remember there used to be this one shop that sold cork products and sheets right near the intersection of [[Main Street]] and [[Oak Avenue]]. Honestly, I'm not totally sure if they're still in business since the last time I swung by was probably like ten years ago.

Could someone please lend me a hand? I’m not from downtown Chicago, so I was wondering if anyone knows of a shop in the central area where I might find some metal or silver pendants—maybe little engraved plates—that I could get customized for my boyfriend. Also, does anyone have an idea of what the price range looks like for something like that?

If you’re looking to stock up on tobacco, hookahs, or even charcoal, you can find everything you need right here in the city at Havana Shop on Frankopanska Street. If you're out toward the suburbs, head over to the Casa Latina cafe and cigar shop on Kranjčevićeva Avenue. It's like having a little slice of the Caribbean tucked away in the middle of town.🙂

Main Street is lined with jewelers. You'll definitely find someone there who can engrave silver for you. As for the prices? Who knows.

casualmaker32, I’m actually looking for some slippers myself. If you can remember, which specific Chinese market did you find them in? I’ve scoured all over Chicago, but the only ones I found in Chinatown were totally trashed—those cheap two-piece kind😢

Think Funky Fish for the budget option, maybe Samsonite if you're feeling fancy. You might even find some Target or Walmart near the entrance stocking those neck pillows and travel wallets.

Honestly, I have no clue... it might have been that one "Shanghai Shop" that's closed now.
That was near the old deli, maybe try checking out Ofertsimi? 🤷

There's this music shop over in downtown Chicago, I think I saw them carrying some good stuff there.
Not 100% sure on the exact street address, but it's somewhere across from the big cathedral, right near that fancy art gallery.
