I can’t speak to how they’ll hold up over the next year or two, but I happened to pick up some jeans at Gap recently—just basic, slim-fit ones with a little detail on the side. They’re comfortable because of the stretch, yet they don't lose their shape at all. I’ve been wearing them for about two months now and honestly, I'm pretty happy with them. $50 It’s not like you’re breaking the bank here, so it might be worth a look. I actually found them online right here: http://www.terranovastyle.com/shop/i...-4/jeans-scuro

On another note, if you happen to be passing through the outskirts of Philly, there’s an outlet over at the Lantei center with a massive selection of Levi’s, starting from $43 onwards—so, if that's on your route...

I'm hunting for something dark and simple—nothing flashy, no fading or extra details—and ideally slim through the calves and ankles. Not sure if it matters, but I’ve got wider hips, so I need a cut that actually fits my build properly.🙂.
And they shouldn't break the bank either; I’d really like to stay under $167 max.
I know that was a bit of a rambling mess, hope it makes sense!😁.

Target has a pretty solid selection of denim that isn't overpriced, and they actually hold up well over time.

So, I went out and bought these Diesel jeans—you know, the ones that come pre-distressed to look all "rugged"—but after just two washes, they’ve completely lost their shape, and now I look like I’m wearing literal rags. On top of that, the rise is so incredibly low it’s actually painful.
Now I’m eyeing some basic Scotch denim, just something simple and standard, but honestly, I’m a little hesitant because I have some bad history there. I once bought one of their silk jackets for $333, and after wearing it exactly one time, it basically disintegrated like someone had taken a pair of scissors to it. There wasn't even a single loose seam or anything; it just fell apart. I had to take it back for a refund, which turned into this endless, exhausting ordeal that felt like it took a lifetime to resolve.

The absolute best pair of jeans I have ever invested in came from Guess, which was actually about five or six years ago now, and honestly, they still look fantastic; the quality is just exceptional and the fit is perfect on me, easily outclassing everything else in my closet... they were quite a splurge at the time, I recall, but looking back, they were worth every single penny, though I think I might have picked them up at a Shoe Bu Do store or somewhere similar.

When it comes to clothes—especially jeans—comfort is my absolute priority. I’m almost always in denim, though usually in a straight leg, something more relaxed or maybe a slight flare; honestly, I’ve never even attempted skinny jeans. Right now, my go-to pair is some DKNY denim I picked up while traveling in the States—they are incredibly comfortable and high quality, and I've been wearing them constantly for over two years. Compared to these, my old jeans from an American department store feel totally unwearable; they're just too uncomfortable to stand.

I know skinny jeans are huge right now, and I get the impression that nearly every girl here in the city is wearing them, but I’ve never really cared about following trends. For me, it’s always been about what I actually like and how it feels to wear it.
That said, I am thinking about finally trying a pair of skinnies just for a change of pace. Does anyone have recommendations for a pair that is actually soft and comfortable? I’m not entirely sure if I’ll be able to tolerate them, but I want to give it a shot—mostly because I really want a cool pair I can tuck into boots. Since mine aren't slim enough, they bunch up at the bottom, which looks messy—and since I'm on the shorter side, it just looks awkward. They don't need to be designer or break the bank, obviously, but I don't want bottom-of-the-barrel quality either. I'd rather not spend a fortune since I'm still undecided on whether I'll actually stick with them.

Anyway, I'm looking for advice because I haven't bought jeans locally in about two years. I have a stash of denim from the US that is sturdy, super comfy, and high quality (I actually just got another new pair of DKNYs recently—honestly, nothing beats them 😁), but none of them are tight. And frankly, the last thing I want to do is wander through ten different stores trying things on; I have a feeling I’d give up after the second failed attempt—shopping isn't exactly my favorite pastime.

I’m simply wondering where I can find high-waisted skinny jeans? Everything I come across in the stores is so low-rise that I feel like if I actually sat down, half my backside would be out. 🤷

Where can I find some straight-leg or subtle bootcut jeans in really small sizes? I’m looking for that specific vibe Claudia Schiffer used to rock... doesn't matter if they're low or high-rise, as long as they have enough length to actually cover my boots.
Mango, Zara, Tommy Hilfiger, 7 For All Mankind, Ralph Lauren, Amadeus—zero points there. Already hit up every single one of them...

Honestly, I’ve had great luck with jeans from Zara and Mango—they haven't stretched out on me once. My only real beef with Mango is that their denim is almost always super low-rise... whereas at Zara, you can actually find some stuff with a more normal waistline 🙂

Hey girls, you have no idea how much of a struggle it is to find a pair of jeans that actually fits right. I’ve got wider hips, and honestly, sometimes I just want to vent because it feels impossible to find good denim that looks amazing on my shape. It’s so frustrating when you see something you love but know it’s probably not going to work. Does anyone know a good spot in town?🙂

They were actually at C&A.

That is precisely what I was aiming to say myself, 😬
I have those orange ones from C&A, and they aren't shallow at all—they fit perfectly.

I had an incredibly successful shopping spree. For all my ladies over 5'11": New Yorker, Amadeus, and Vero Moda. I'm a little concerned about the quality at New Yorker, but oh well. xD

Yesterday I zipped over to Westgate—blasting some classic rock, obviously—and gave the front doors a little kiss. 🙂 Did that actually count? And does that location in the city center even stay open?

Sumnjam, I was there at the start of the week and they were working. My sister even picked up some jeans. Maybe they were doing inventory.

Finding the right jeans is a struggle for me. I want them to look good, but I have a larger backside and slim legs, so skinny jeans always end up looking awkward on my frame. Personal taste aside, there’s just a visual difference between seeing skinnies on someone weighing 120 pounds versus someone over 220. It’s just how it looks.
I find Mangos to be high quality. It might depend on the specific cut you grab. I own two pairs of their slight flares; they are long enough that they require a heel or some boots to sit right, but the fit is excellent. Their denim feels just as solid as their leather pieces.
They also carry smaller sizes. I wear a US 2, but I know they carry a US 0 as well.

By the way, G-Star is another great option. They offer a huge variety of styles and sizes, so I definitely recommend checking them out.

Hmm, looks like Salsa in CC1 is closed too. 🤷

This thread is pretty old, but I figured someone might still be looking for advice.
About a month and a half ago, I picked up some skinny jeans on sale at Nordstrom just so I’d finally have something that works with boots. Usually, I stick to straight leg or a slight flare, but since these were such a steal—I can't remember the exact price, but I think they were around $67—I grabbed them even though the color wasn't quite what I had in mind.

Honestly, these things are soft as silk; they don't stretch out too much, the waist sits low without being dangerously low, and they are so incredibly comfy that I end up wearing them around the house like sweatpants. I'm beyond satisfied. 😍

My last pair of jeans was from Benetton—honestly, I’m obsessed. They’re a skinny fit, but they aren’t like those super thin, flimsy ones that fall apart after one wash; they’re actually comfy and soft... just great. Plus, the price was a total steal... only about 50% more than what I paid at $67.

Thanks for the reply.

I actually ended up finding a pair myself in the meantime. I grabbed some skinnies over at Hilfiger. They weren't exactly budget-friendly, but I wanted quality, and I definitely got my money's worth. I’ve always been a bit of a skeptic when it comes to skinny jeans—always figured they'd be uncomfortable—but these are incredibly soft and easy to wear. They fit perfectly, too. Like the other pair, they have a lower rise, but nothing scandalous.

Now I’m eyeing a pair of straight-leg jeans, mostly because my old DKNY ones finally gave up the ghost after two and a half years. Ideally, I'd find something a bit cheaper this time around—I think I went a little overboard on my shopping budget last month.
