So, I’m on the hunt for some new jeans... and honestly, I’m dreading it because my last pair was a total disaster. I bought them last summer and—I kid you not—after wearing them just once, they stretched out so much in the butt and hips that they basically turned into baggy pajama pants. Like, seriously, they just lose all shape and start sagging everywhere... it's ridiculous. I actually had this one pair from Levi's that were decent quality—not too heavy, not too thin—and they lasted me about three years, but the waist was way too low. Every time I sat down, I felt like everything was about to pop out of the top... totally mortifying 🤣
I was thinking about hitting up Gap since they used to have really solid denim a few years back, but who knows if they’ve gone downhill since then?
What do you guys suggest? My goal is simple: I want jeans that won't stretch out like crazy around my glutes and thighs, and I need a waist that isn't dangerously low (I don't need my little tummy pooch peeking out!), but also nothing ridiculously high-waisted 🙂! Budget-wise, I'm looking at maybe $60 max—$233 though for that kind of money, I really expect them to be high quality 😉

Topshop. 🙂 I’d say they run somewhere between $350 and $150, depending on the specific cut you're looking at. Plus, if you're a student, you can snag a 10% discount on the X-model. They are genuinely high-quality and sturdy; they don't lose their shape or stretch out on you. 😍 Now, Diesel jeans are equally impressive in terms of quality, but you won't find them for less than $267. Honestly, they actually last even longer than the Topshop pairs and hold their form perfectly. It is absolutely worth investing the extra money in them.

I had this one pair from Topshop, bought them maybe 6 or 7 years ago, and they were freaking AMAZING. Seriously, the best I’ve ever owned. But now? When I walk into the Topshop in downtown Chicago, none of the styles catch my eye... and honestly, it’s just not the same anymore. It’s like they lost their touch or something. Went over to the Gap today to see what was up, but because my luck is absolute garbage 👎 the doors jammed on me, so I couldn't even get inside, let alone browse... gotta try again tomorrow.
Anyway, I swung by Mustang on the way back and actually spotted three pairs that looked decent—two Wranglers and one other brand I can't even remember. They were all around $200. Tomorrow, I'm heading back out on the hunt at the Gap to finally try everything on that I found today! 🙂

I was actually just about to tell you that you seriously need to hit up Mustang Menu. Their rifles are killer. I’ve had a few pairs for ages now, and they’re the only ones that haven't stretched out on me. Plus, they aren't ridiculously overpriced—just solid, fair prices.🙂

So, I recently picked up some jeans at Target (over at the Import Mall) for $73.
They’re just your standard boot cut style—blue, with those slightly lighter faded spots here and there—and they actually have decent pockets and a fit that stays put (meaning, you know, they don't make your backside look totally ridiculous the second you pull them on 😁).

Anyway, if anyone happens to be hunting for a cheap pair of denim, you might want to check them out. They had sizes ranging from about an 8 to a 16.

What's the deal with those New Yorker jeans, and what size do they actually run?

Where in the city can I pick up some Miss Sixty jeans?😍

P&C only seems to have leftover winter stock; they haven't brought in anything new lately.😢

Since when did they shut down that location on I Street? If I recall correctly, I think only P&C is still operating there!

So, I finally pulled the trigger on those Levi's ones 😉... Honestly, I was totally ready to walk away—the deal they offered me at Gap was just... meh. Not feeling it at all. So I headed back over to Levi's and showed the girl working there three different styles I had my eye on. She let me try everything on, but she kept insisting that a fourth pair would actually be my best bet. And ugh, she was totally right. They are incredible. These dark denim jeans? Perfect waistline, great fit, and—this is the big one—they didn't lose their shape after two days of wearing them. Plus, they cost $217 (which is a chunk of change, I know, but I'll be living in these for at least two years, so whatever)...

There's just something about walking into a store and not being harassed every five seconds, you know? Like, just let me browse! But then, when they actually give you an opinion and show they actually *know* their stuff and what'll look good on my body versus what won't... that’s when I'm sold. Total 5+ stars 👍 for Levi's at the mall (haven't bothered with the other shops)!

I spotted a pair of killer jeans on a woman the other day, but I couldn't quite make out the label. It said "Miss [something] Jeans." There was this little graphic of some scissors tucked right between the word "Miss" and whatever the rest of the name was—definitely not Sixty. Anyone recognize the brand?

I have some vintage Miss Sixty pieces where the patterns look just like scissors... I'm not sure what other designs they might have out there.😉

How is it even possible that they go by Miss Sixty, and then apparently after sixty, they just tack on "- jeans" at the end?

Actually, I just remembered they aren't even in the top sixty. I asked a girl about them earlier, but she either had no clue who they were or just didn't feel like telling me.

C&A actually has a killer selection when it comes to jeans... I bought these high-waisted ones once and they were honestly amazing...

I always score my best jeans at Gant... the material is top-tier and the cuts are just timeless classics. 👍

I’ve got three pairs of Mango sneakers that look amazing, but honestly, all three have stretched out like crazy 😢 😢 I was wondering if there's any way to tighten them up a bit, maybe by cutting them down or resizing them? They come out looking great after a wash, but that takes forever 😁

I’ve got some of those manga issues too and they just stretched everything out... honestly you can't even argue with it at this point... which is exactly why I gave up on manga entirely, and don't even get me started on those denim jackets

You can just have them tailored to fit perfectly!

How does she even pull that off? And does anyone have a ballpark idea on what the price tag looks like? 😁

It’s not even about them being too tight... I mean, they're actually super loose on me when I pull them up, so if I actually tried to size them down, I wouldn't be able to get them over my hips or even button them up. Honestly, you just gotta watch what you're buying, period...
