Finally got some photos up—honestly, I’d be so grateful if anyone had some advice to share?
The photo shows someone in the 35-40 age range... as for anything beyond that, I'm really not sure yet.

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this picture—could someone tell me a bit about what's shown in the image attached below?
Technology and I aren't exactly on speaking terms—so I've only managed to capture half the shot here. The year 1978 is written on it.

Not wanting to start a whole new thread here, but does anyone know anything about a painter signed "Korati" (at least, that's what I can make out)? The piece I have is absolutely stunning, so I'd love to learn a bit more about them. I couldn't find a single thing on Google. Thanks.

While cleaning out the old family house, we stumbled upon this table. My mother insisted we bring it home, claiming it’s a genuine heirloom—something a great-grandfather or perhaps even her father brought back somewhere around the turn of the 20th century, roughly 1900.

In my estimation, it lacks the inherent value required to justify the expense of a professional restoration. Beyond that, it is quite frankly so unsightly that catching a glimpse of it in the middle of the night is genuinely unsettling. However, she remains convinced of its worth, so I am turning to you for an assessment. If anyone here specializes in this field and might be able to provide an estimate, I would appreciate it. What is the approximate market value of a piece like this?

Good evening. Does anyone happen to know what a vintage flywheel from a hundred years ago—or maybe even older—would actually be worth these days...

Man, I have no clue what it's worth. But I gotta say, I've seen a lot of weird stuff in my time, and I have *never* seen anything quite like this... whatever you do, don't just give it away for free!

Can anyone lend a hand in deciphering the style, the country of origin, etc.?🙂 I've tried hunting for something similar online, but I've come up empty-handed.

Honestly, looking at the photo, it’s tough to pin down a specific style. What I'm seeing looks like a weird mashup—you've got these Baroque-style dragon figures slapped onto what looks like a Biedermeier table.
To give you a straight answer, I really need to see it in person...
It's hard to tell from just a picture if it’s even an actual antique.
As for restoration, yeah, we can definitely handle it. But I can't even give you a ballpark price until I get my hands on it and see how much damage we're actually dealing with...

My family has owned this since roughly the start of World War I—at least, that’s how my grandfather used to tell my mother. It isn't actually for sale; I am simply curious about its market value. Here are a few more photos, though they aren't ideal since they were taken on a phone.

You can't really make out anything in this photo.
It’s not like we can tell if it was made back in 1900 or maybe even 1750.
Plus, there's no way to see what kind of wood they actually used.

Mom handed it over to someone for restoration, costing $1000. We'll just have to wait and see how it turns out.

I need a little bit of help, and I have a feeling I'll get the best answer here.
Recently, I was given a print featuring three works by famous American painters. It’s a reproduction—or a print, or whatever the technical term might be... you know, when it's numbered like 32/100 and produced with the artist's permission.
What is the actual, correct term for pieces like this?

Thanks. I was just debating this with a friend, and honestly, we’re both total amateurs in this field. I was under the impression we were talking about graphic prints, but she’s trying to convince me that there’s actually a specific track at the Art Institute focused on graphics—as in, a dedicated painting technique. She claims these pieces are reproductions, which left me confused; I don't see how an artist would sign off on a reproduction...
(I mean, anything is possible, I suppose😁, but that’s a whole different conversation altogether...)

Man, I was just sitting here wondering, like, if I had a replica of that old "Death of Matthias Gupc" painting—you know, one that’s basically been around for nearly a century—how much do you think I could actually pull for it?

Hey there.

I have a question for the experts here. I don't know much about fine art, but I've been tasked with identifying a signature on some pieces. The owner claims they belong to a famous artist and that they actually hold some real value...

If anyone can help me out, I'd really appreciate it.

Here is the signature and the photos:

Someone close to me has some old photos they're interested in learning more about..

I don't have any actual pictures of them on hand right now, but they've been described as quite old pieces featuring Black Sea motifs. The artist's initials are listed as Đ.S., written in Cyrillic..

Any idea how one might go about uncovering more information regarding them??
