PayPal just rolled out support for SEPA transfers and a Klarna-style "buy now, pay later" option for up to 14 days at certain merchants (though you gotta drop at least $2,000 on your card first to unlock that one)

Just ran a test on an ACH transfer, and it hit my Bank of America account in just a few hours. The sender was PayPal Holdings, Inc. using a UK-based routing number. The transaction description just says "from Checking Account" without mentioning who actually sent the money, which could be a bit of a headache if you need to track things down...

PayPal just rolled out a Klarna option. At certain retailers, you can get a single purchase up to $200 refunded immediately and then settle the bill 14 days later—zero interest.
Some of the merchants included are Amazon and Expedia.

A sweet little deal.

Yeah, if you're dropping $2,000 on it. 😬

People are acting like this is some huge deal when you can just use PayPal instead. They offer it for free without all these annoying hurdles once you hit a $2,000 threshold. Sure, you have to go through a quick credit check by linking your primary bank account to their app via your routing number, but it’s really not a big deal. Plus, with PayPal, you can defer payments for up to 30 days with almost any retailer. If you shop at places where they have special partnerships—think brands like ASOS or Superdry—you even get extra perks on purchases and returns. When I first signed up, they gave me a $1,000 limit. After about six months of using it consistently (I didn't spend massive amounts, usually topping out around $500, but I always paid on time), they bumped my limit up to $1,800.

Wait, I just realized! First they were just asking for proof of address and fund verification or whatever, but now it won't even show me that—it's just showing what you mentioned.

I can blow through that kind of cash in a month if that's what it takes.

Has anyone actually checked out or tried using the latest version of Venmo?

It looks like they finally added a way to scan payment slips and some kind of points system where $33=1 point or whatever that's supposed to mean.

They definitely didn't have this before.

Does this even work here in the States?

I tried scanning a bill earlier, but the thing just wouldn't finish—it kept hanging. I guess everything is still being worked out, but maybe there’s some actual progress happening eventually.

I just tried logging into my AT&T account, and I'm getting the exact same error message I saw six months ago. Honestly, are they still sleeping on the job?

Looks like something interesting is brewing, Apple Pay is coming our way. I just snapped a photo, and the cashier was saying it should be live pretty soon. There isn't even a mention of it on their website or in the current app yet, I guess.

They've been saying "coming soon" since last November. 😁

Honestly, if they don't get this integrated with Google Pay, the whole thing is basically a non-starter. A total swing and a miss.

I don't have much to go on, honestly. I just spotted those stickers at a few of their stations back in November, and I've been Googling about it ever since, but nothing's turned up yet. Still, looks like a pretty cool option to me.

So, here’s a pretty solid response they sent over when someone asked when it’s actually dropping 🤦

Hey everyone, has anyone dealt with a rejected transaction via Cookie Pay before?
When does a failed payment actually get reversed back to the original card?

I used my Visa, and they’re telling me the merchant (in this case, JPMorgan Chase) hasn't even flagged the transaction as failed yet.

To answer my own question: the transaction has already been reversed.

I just realized that a transfer from Chime to N26 current is instant—the funds hit the N26 account immediately.
That isn't the case when moving money from N26 to Chime.

Just doing a little testing and playing around here.
