Chime supports instant incoming and outgoing transfers via ACH. N26 currently only handles incoming ones.

And this works throughout the entire US.

Chime is working on getting those instant transfers up and running.
Chime supports instant stuff too, especially now with those new local routing numbers.

From Chime to Chime... fastest it takes is about 9 hours.

The Air Canada app just added "soon - scanning code to pay bill" under the Service section.

It’s hard to expect them to offer anything remotely competitive when it comes to bill payments. If you ask me, they’ll probably just slap on a fee while completely ignoring all the other, much cheaper ways to get it done.

Does anyone here actually know how you go about getting a routing number through Wise?

I’m a bit confused by this whole thing where they say an account number is 'shared with others'—basically meaning it isn't unique to just me. If that's the case, how does a deposit even work? Besides the routing number and the SWIFT code, what else am I supposed to be sending over?

Basically, if I use Wise, will I get a specific routing number that I can just hand off to someone else so they can wire me money and call it a day? Is there really nothing else required beyond that?

Also, while we're at it, does anyone know which payment services actually offer a unique account number? I’m looking for something where I can just provide the routing number and the SWIFT, and then my job is done.

Which currency are we talking about? If you're looking for USD, you don't even get a routing number.

The app isn't even live yet, though they've already started handing out flyers. It’s kind of a bummer, honestly, since it looks like you can only actually use it if you already have a Visa card.

Wise just updated their setup so you can send money peer-to-peer now, and it won't cost you a dime if you aren't messing with currency conversions.

What’s everyone’s experience been like using PayPal for option two, maybe paired with Parallel space for switching back and forth occasionally?

It finally showed up. Looks like the fee is $1.25.

But it looks like it’s totally busted. It keeps telling me the payment won't go through and I need to hit up customer support.

Might be worth a look for anyone using those US banking apps here

I tried pulling some funds from my Chime account today, and they froze my account instantly, telling me to reach out to support. So, I did. They told me I needed to send over a photo of the card showing my name. I sent it, only for them to get back to me saying they now need photos of EVERY single card I have linked to the account. Honestly? I just cursed them out, deleted all my cards except for the Chime one—which they supposedly already verified—and now the account is working again. But with this kind of invasive verification policy for every little thing, I don't see myself using them much longer. 👎

Yeah, turns out that was the exact same reason I couldn't get my bill paid either.
