Hey everyone, quick question: is it strictly limited to the account holder when making transfers to a Cash App bank account, or can anyone just send money to another user via online banking without any issues?

From what I’ve seen—it seems they never really check—so anyone should be able to do it.

Does anyone know if I can use Venmo via NFC on my phone? Basically—can I pay with just my device instead of carrying a physical card?

The thing is... I've got an Apple device without Apple Pay, so I'm hunting for some solid alternatives.

How can I make payments if I don't have a card—I'm using an Android Phone?

I think you can just scan a QR code, but only at places that actually support it—kind of like how PayPal works. Honestly, I don't think many shops have set that up yet... probably pretty rare.
If you’re trying to buy something from just any random merchant, you're gonna need a card.

One alternative is just to install Apple Pay

😁

But then again... you still need a physical card to "clone" it onto Apple Pay.

Just install Google Play Services, then you can grab everything from the App Store, including Apple Pay—or rather, the digital wallet.

That won't do him any good, since Apple Pay doesn't even support Venmo cards.

Google Play Services works fine—notifications lag sometimes, but it's decent enough.
Apple Pay isn't working for me.

If you want to tap-to-pay on an Apple device, you're really going to need the Curve app.
They have their own card that you link up to your current account—whether that's Chase, Revolut, or whatever else you use. You just pay a couple of bucks for the card delivery, and the service itself is totally free, just like Revolut. Plus, with their card, you can hit any ATM without getting hit by fees up to $567 a month.
That’s how I handled everything back when I was using an Apple device, and honestly, Curve is a fantastic alternative to Apple Pay.

DraftKings is dropping the 4% transaction fee on Venmo deposits.

Starting October 1st, deposit via Venmo with zero fees.
Venmo is easily one of the most popular ways to fund your account or cash out winnings. It’s basically the go-to digital wallet for quick transfers here in the States.

With Venmo, you can move money in or out instantly. And starting October 1st, we’re killing that 4% fee on every deposit! That means every cent you send goes straight toward your action. $33 Your deposit = $33 sitting in your DraftKings account!

This is huge news, so why not celebrate? Load up, get in on the action, and turn that momentum into a win.

**Note: This change does not apply to prepaid card deposits.

I wonder if this card can be linked to an Android Phone as a payment method?

So, here’s the situation—someone sent a payment to my PayPal account, but they missed the specific transaction details like the reference code or authorization number; they just used my account info. The app recognized the destination as PayPal and the transfer went through, so I tried running a quick test by sending some funds from my Chase account to my own PayPal $3.25 just to see what happens. Now, I'm just sitting tight waiting for it to clear—does anyone know if it's enough to just provide the recipient's account info without including those extra reference numbers and codes?

That isn't your personal account number. It's just the shared business account for PayPal, which means everyone's seeing the exact same IBAN...

Exactly. That phone number is the KEY.
It’s how they identify the user.

Has anyone bought anything from Amazon lately? If so, could you let me know which day you ordered and what exchange rate they used for the dollar conversion?

Honestly, any transaction done in a foreign currency should just be calculated using the Mastercard exchange rate.
