I’m going to post a quick query just so this doesn't get buried by the search algorithm.
If someone is living outside of the US and doesn't have an account with AirCash, would they be able to send me money via a money order?
If that's actually a possibility—and I certainly hope it is!—how on earth am I supposed to find out what my IBAN is?

All the info you need is right there in the app.
The routing number is the same for everyone, but everyone gets their own unique reference number.
Just a heads-up though, if someone's trying to wire money from overseas, they probably won't even see a spot to enter that reference number—that's just a local thing we do here (plus, international wire fees are a total rip-off, so I'm not sure it'd even be worth the hassle)...

Starting January 1st, once Cash App switches over to the dollar, sending money from abroad is going to be much smoother and way more affordable—honestly, most transfers will basically be free. Plus, if you need to include a phone number, you can just tuck it right into the memo or payment description field where there's already an option for it.

I tried it myself. I wasn't looking to take any unnecessary risks; I was just trying to stay clear of the whole thing. $0.83 Transaction fees are a total rip-off. Why am I being charged just to move my own money around? It feels like a hidden tax on every single move I make. Is anyone else tired of watching their balance shrink because of these pointless processing costs? It’s ridiculous.

And what was her actual reason for deleting him?
Why do we even have to go through this identity verification nonsense? And why on earth can't you just pay your bills without scanning some stupid QR code? It feels like every single step of modern life is becoming a hurdle designed to slow us down. Seriously, what’s the point? Is it all just about "security" and protecting us from fraud, or is it just more red tape for the sake of having red tape? They say it's to make sure you are who you say you are, but at what cost? We spend half our lives jumping through hoops just to access our own money or settle a simple utility bill. And don't get me started on the QR code requirement. Since when did a little square of black dots become the gatekeeper to my bank account? You want to pay a bill? Scan this. Want to move funds? Scan that. If the technology breaks, or if I'm in a spot with bad service, I'm basically locked out of my own financial life. It feels less like convenience and more like being forced into a digital cage. Is there actually a logical reason for this level of friction, or are we just letting tech companies dictate how much effort we have to exert to exist in society?
She was nice enough, sure, but her reasoning felt a little weak. But hey, I personally taught her how to build her own 2D payment code using American Airlines, and there were probably 200 people behind me losing their minds while we just sat there chatting—thinking we weren't actually working. We managed to make it both pleasant and productive at the same time. 🙂

Hey, tell Auntie I said hi if she happens to see this!

Well, teach me too then. I need it so I can send some extra cash to my parents... 🙂

Just fill out all the fields exactly like they appear on a standard bank transfer or online bill, and it'll generate a QR code for you. Whatever you do, don't forget to include the payment reference number.

Once you've filled everything in, just save the file the site generates. That way, you can "reload" the transaction later if you need to tweak something. Or, even easier, just take a screenshot of the QR code. You can then pull that photo straight from your gallery whenever you're making payments through Aircash.

So, I made a payment to a PayPal account, but I totally blanked on entering the model number or the reference code... does PayPal just automatically bounce the money back to the sender, or what actually happens in a mess like this? Basically, the Post Office was supposed to pay the COD amount to my PayPal for a package I sent out, but now the funds are just... nowhere to be found.

I guess you'll probably need to get a receipt from the post office first. Once you have that, if there's no reference number on it, you can basically tell them they'll have to deal with the headache of sorting it out with PayPal themselves to get their money back. Maybe demand that they either pay you immediately or redo it with the correct reference code, or find some other way to fix it right away.

Of course, that assumes you actually told them beforehand which reference number they needed to use. If you didn't, there's a chance it might just end up going into the SoftBank Vision Fund.$33

Anyway, this is a good heads-up for everyone. PayPal isn't a traditional bank account—it doesn't have an IBAN. Even though you can sometimes use a generic payment slip in certain cases, I don't think it's smart to rely too heavily on that if you aren't 100% sure how it works. There's a pretty decent chance things could just get lost in the shuffle.

It honestly baffles me that the postal service even lets payouts go to someone else's account. There’s probably some fine print buried in the terms of service stating everything has to go to your own verified account, so he basically just screwed himself by providing an unauthorized account number.

Yesterday I uploaded the payment info for my new driver's license fees (Treasury Department IBAN), everything went through fine, but I haven't received a payment confirmation.
I sent an email to PayPal about it; now I'm just waiting for them to send over the confirmation using the authorization number. 🙂

Is it just me, or is that "Download payment confirmation" button (again) acting up, or is there something else going on? I'm seeing receipts for old transactions popping up, but I haven't actually sent any money over the last few days.

Just tried making a payment myself...
and it's been over 10 minutes now. It just keeps saying, "document not ready yet... please try again in a minute..."

😁

Usually, it's ready in less than sixty seconds...

Just got an email from Cash App telling me to try requesting my verification again through the app... worked perfectly. 🙂

If you just send them the confirmation without a model or reference number, they’ll have the money in your account within minutes. There isn't even a cap on how much someone can wire you via ACH.

I’ve been reading through their terms and conditions, and honestly, I feel a bit lost. If anyone actually understands this stuff, could you give me a hand? 😬

Can an American citizen living outside the USA open an American Airlines account if they still have a valid ID?

Yeah, you can. The main thing is just having a valid US document. Since you're an American citizen, you've got the paperwork, so you should be good to go.

Just keep in mind, to unlock all the bells and whistles with American Airlines, you'll need standard US docs—like a driver's license, passport, or a residency permit.

Hey aircash, any chance you could add a feature where the system remembers my CVV when I save my card? 🙂
Thanks in advance.
