Maybe someone finally realized things were going sideways and told the lower tier they aren't allowed to accept incoming transfers.
Which actually makes sense, because right now it’s just a confirmation that Cash App took the order before passing it off to the bank to process. In theory, that’s where everything can fall apart and the transaction just... vanishes.

Honestly, I can't quite put my finger on why Gargamel and I got through without a hitch while everyone else is hitting walls. It probably comes down to the specific clerk behind the desk. Back in April, when I paid for my ID, the receipt in the top right corner clearly said "Payment Confirmation." Now, every single receipt the app spits out says "Order Received." That’s the only real difference I see, though I doubt the people working the counters at the DMV even notice or care. Like Mephistopheles mentioned, they probably just got some new directive from the Treasury Department.

I was actually standing right there at the Department of Homeland Security service window. They managed to find my payment through AirCash; they even pulled it up on their screen. The issue was that it didn't specify who sent the money. My name wasn't listed anywhere—it just showed "AirCash."

Yeah, whatever. My confirmation clearly lists the "actual payer" and includes my Social Security number. I assume they can see that too. Honestly, who knows what they choose to ignore. That's just how government agencies work. 😁

Maybe it’s just because it’s in a foreign language?

I mean, you can set whatever language you want in the app. Does that really imply they won't accept transfers from overseas banks? That would be pretty stupid. Money is money. I actually sent my payment before I even arrived in the States; I wanted to speed things up since the lines at the Department of Homeland Security in San Francisco are absolutely insane.

I had the exact same thing happen with my ID renewal payment. Everything went through perfectly a few months back, so I know the process works. In my book, that confirmation number is the only thing that actually matters—it’s the unique identifier for the whole transaction. Either the Department of Homeland Security has a massive glitch in their database, or you just dealt with some clerk at the window who thinks they "know" how things work when they clearly don't.

Madonna, on my Cash App receipts, it explicitly lists the actual Payer, and that happens on every single one of them. I noticed yours doesn't show that. Either there’s a glitch in the app's interface—because let's be honest, Cash App hasn't exactly mastered perfect localization for all their payment confirmations—or you simply didn't input your own name when you were setting up the payment request. That’s also a possibility, especially considering even the Department of Homeland Security can't see who the actual payer is in these cases.

I followed their website instructions to the letter. I showed them the confirmation, and the lady at the desk walked away to check something, then came back with someone else. That second person told me they couldn't process it. Apparently, it wasn't "our bank." She claimed several other people had tried using Cash App confirmations and failed too. So, they just sent me over to the USPS to pay it all over again $65.

It says "the ultimate payer" and then just blacks it out.

If you ask me, those Cash App confirmations aren't worth much. It's just Cash App telling you they got the order. They really should be providing official bank statements that actually prove the transaction went through—you know, like how the Associated Press or USPS handle things.

Greetings, everyone. I attempted to generate a barcode using two different payment slip generators, yet my transaction via Cash App continues to fail. Has anyone else encountered similar difficulties lately?...

Invalid code. Please try again.
I attempted to use an account that already had a generated code, and naturally, it wouldn't process the payment...
Edit: It refuses to work unless you call their customer service line. I ended up just inputting model 00 instead, and somehow, that actually worked.

Look, model 00 doesn't allow empty phone fields. If you don't have one, just use model 99.

I attempted to run it on Paresthesia, but since it didn't hit 99, I foolishly assumed aiming for 00 would yield the same result... how naive of me. Now I realize 99 is the constant requirement. My thanks to you!

Just downloaded the app.
I’m planning on heading over to Chase tomorrow to drop off some cash.

It’s asking me to verify my identity by snapping a photo of my driver's license, and I was wondering—is that actually mandatory?

Basically, I just need to get a few bills paid, so can I just settle those without going through the whole verification thing?

If you don't go through verification, they throttle your usage... I'm not even sure what the exact limits are at this point.

I don't think so.
