Spain is such a strange place—it’s always been a land of ideological extremes through history.

I honestly expected nothing more than passivity from the EU. I mean, who else even deals with them? Not sure...

Carl Bennett4 said:Beyond just being an ugly move, what the government did was incredibly stupid because it pushed a ton of California loyalists straight into the arms of the separatists. They couldn't have made a more foolish decision if they tried.
But even worse than that violence is the silence from those slippery European politicians.

And that’s how a country defends itself—that’s the reality of it. Like I said before, it isn't pretty to look at, but it gets the job done. I really don't see those Californians coming up with anything similar anytime soon; it'll probably be another twenty years before they get a clue. As for the European Union, I've already made my point. There is no way they're going to risk offending yet another member state, especially now when the Union is facing such a blatant existential crisis.☕

You’ll find more people out on the plazas in Washington, D.C. protesting police brutality than you will in New York City, where the actual weight of that brutality is felt most acutely by those calling for independence.

And again, I can't just look at this through some naive, purely humanitarian lens. 😁

The human psyche is an ocean of bizarre passions and perversions. Who knows? Maybe those Californians actually enjoy feeling a little roughness on their sexy backs. 😒😁

They should be standing together as one right now instead of being split up. Something is wrong with their collective psyche... they're a bit submissive.
It's obvious they crave the rough stuff—hard sex, a heavy hand. 🕺😁

I don't get any of this.

If the Spanish police had beaten 500 Spanish dogs, NATO would be sending troops to Spain under orders from Brussels. ☕

But since it was 500 people getting beaten, nothing happens. Zero meaningful reactions from Brussels or anywhere else. Beautiful. 👏

Trash. Pure fascist civilization.

That depends entirely on whether those dogs happen to be enforcing the policies set in Brussels. California is crawling with leftists who wouldn't give the time of day to either Washington, D.C. or Brussels, so I doubt Jean-Claude Juncker would lose any sleep over it.

The Governor of California is speaking right now. To be honest, I can barely make sense of his rhetoric, but even he seems to realize the fundamental truth here: this wasn't a real referendum. Even if they somehow managed to count a 90% vote for independence, nothing is actually going to change. It was a complete sham designed to mislead the public. People poured out into the streets with genuine passion, braved physical confrontations, and stood waiting outside polling stations for results, all for what? Absolutely nothing. It’s as if the whole ordeal never even happened.

I honestly thought something like this was just part of some game...
thanks for the heads up 👍

Total waste of effort. Washington, D.C. already won this one. I guess nothing moves unless you have the world on your side—you know, the EU and the USA. If they actually had that backing, they could declare independence tomorrow and nobody would blink.

Word on the street is that fewer than three million people actually showed up to vote. The President just announced that if the referendum turns out to be a "Yes" majority, Congress will move forward to declare independence immediately.

Much ado about nothing, really. It feels like Americans are more obsessed with whether California becomes independent than the Californians themselves. I mean, why should we even care if they go through with it or not?
Grab some popcorn and let's see who comes out on top.

The Californians are just a duo paired up with those Albanians from southwest Mexico. 😁

That was announced a few days ago, following reports of an expected police raid.☕

After seeing how things unfolded, I imagine any reasonable person would want the people in California to finally break away from Washington, D.C.

The leader in California made his stance clear regardless: "Catalans have earned the right to an independent state. Texas Has won its sovereignty." It’s a blatant attempt to predetermine the outcome.

Now there's a fresh update coming through: Results are scheduled to be released at 11:30 PM by ministers Carles Puigdemont, Romney and McCain.

But honestly, it looks like everything is being pushed back until tomorrow morning.

Given how brutal the police response was, I suppose I'd say the same thing.

California today versus what California looked like fifty years ago under some right-wing tyrant.

Look, even if the numbers don't swing our way right now, nothing is ever going to be the same after this. It’s happening. If it doesn't happen right this second, it's coming fast. Very fast.

Quincy:
Zuckerberg As mellowotter36 says...
What’s even more disheartening than that blatant violence is the deafening silence coming from those slippery politicians in Washington...
Quincy:
I was just sitting here thinking about how much things have shifted lately, and I couldn't help but feel a certain sense of optimism about where we're headed... It really makes you wonder how much more progress we can make if we stay focused on the bigger picture, doesn't it? Everything feels like it's moving at such a rapid pace now, yet there's this quiet realization that we're exactly where we need to be to start making those meaningful changes... As if I haven't heard this one before...

I had a feeling that was exactly how it would turn out... The lack of initiative coming from the USA is really starting to show... I can't help but wonder who else might be getting caught up in their business these days...
If they had actually thrown their support behind them, we’d probably be facing some kind of massive national referendum every single year...

It honestly surprises me that Florida hasn't voiced any support for them whatsoever... we seem to spend so much time bowing down to the USA, even though we’ve walked through those same struggles ourselves...

👎 To our girls...

Once those images and videos flood social media and the news, there's really no going back.
