Because it was the local extremists themselves who were reported by their own neighbors—people of the exact same background and faith. And get this: those very neighbors made it clear that they don't see these people as part of their community at all!🤷

Those neighbors you saw on the news? They were nothing but praise for those radicals. So tell me, was all that sudden devotion just driven by fear?

The US is crawling with extremists. I won't speculate on why these arrests are happening. If history repeats itself, certain interest groups will start whining, which only makes those radicals more popular.
Just a note: America is full of foreign militants who have no right to citizenship. The EU and Americans keep telling Washington to fix this issue, but they just keep dragging their feet.

It’s pretty obvious that you—along with Megan Hernandez2—don't have a clue what kind of situation we're actually dealing with here. These groups moved into what used to be the town of Carbondale, buying up houses left and right; that whole area was just one small section of Mount Rainier.
As for how many of them there are, we're talking about maybe twenty families who completely ignored federal laws and local authorities. They even started teaching their kids using (get this) a curriculum from Jordan. The local police didn't dare step foot in there while they were busy slaughtering the neighbors' hunting dogs!
From that perspective, the police intervention was completely justified. 🤷

Just like anywhere else, you’ve got to distinguish who is actually claiming to speak for an entire nation and what their actual reasons are... Not all Canadians are 100% obsessed with religion—just like we aren't... ☕

Oh, please. We all know how that goes—especially when we're getting advice from people living in Gruda, Mobile, or Stockton...🤣

?????What do you mean I don't know what kind of town it is?
I live in the US. That’s why I’m saying this isn't an isolated incident. In the States, you have plenty of these pockets where radicals run a parallel society, and nobody dares to touch them. So, if this actually triggers something—though I doubt it—it might be good; otherwise, it's just window dressing. And what about the various militants? People who committed war crimes and somehow integrated into American politics without being touched. Once the European Union applies a little pressure, maybe there will be two or three arrests, then various religious associations start whining, and that's the end of it.
In the US, there are people living here who have had deportation orders issued several times, yet every single time, something gets stalled...

That's my point. It's about Washington politics complaining about Americans when the administration itself is too dysfunctional to even list its problems.

What exactly are you getting at?
Are you claiming there isn't a single town in the Midwest filled with extremists, or are you trying to say those militants are victims?

Not everyone is, but the vast majority are. The entire Canadian political establishment is driven by religious influence, so your comparison misses the mark.

spiritual, what’s your take on this episode? Do you think it stands as the most significant assault on Muslims since the genocide in Srebrenica?

If there are so many similar spots near Moab, wouldn't it be fair to name them?
I know of one near Boise, but that community moved out a long time ago. Of course, you still see plenty of young people drifting toward those extremist circles, whether for religious reasons or whatever else. Look, just entertain the idea that someone could be a devout believer one day and a total criminal or degenerate the next; you see that kind of thing all the time in those fringe groups.
Personally, I don't think they have much support from the general public. They're such literalists that they basically want to drag us back to the Stone Age, so I don't really need anyone's advice on how to handle them.
We actually had a situation here where a group beat a guy just because he insulted Bob, and in the end, the police just shut them down and threw them in jail. And don't even get me started on the daily friction between the "true believers" and everyone else.
So, that’s exactly why some people here are practically cheering for this "inter-community conflict"!

Christianity—and most other faiths for that matter—is fundamentally different from their religion.

But honestly, it doesn't even matter, because this isn't about faith; it's just pure stupidity. Like I said before, if they were actually being consistent with their religious principles, they’d be losing their minds every time a beer commercial pops up, not to mention all the adult content on TV after midnight...

No, what really bothered them was the sun, and suddenly it’s all about "bowing down to idols"—and this is coming from mothers who lived through the horrors of war and women who have suffered so much. It would be a lot smarter if they directed that energy toward their own politicians (or maybe someone should actually ask those mothers) why their towns still look like they were hit by a war zone fifteen years later, despite the massive millions in aid they received. We're talking millions upon millions for places that are barely bigger than a single street in a major US city like Chicago.

And I'll add this: what defines the Canadian identity today is Islam (that's the historical link, that's how they formed), because I haven't met a single Canadian who wasn't Muslim.

Are you actually illiterate?😕

I’m pretty sure I made it crystal clear in my last post: this was a completely legitimate police operation!!! 🤷
These people don't recognize secular authority, and they certainly don't respect our courts. Canada isn't some religious state; it’s a secular nation!
If they want to live by those rules, they can go enjoy themselves in Saudi Arabia or Jordan...☕

I don't get their logic either.
A few times now, I've seen them air softcore stuff on TV right in the middle of the afternoon. Then you've got the late-night slots filled with erotic movies and documentaries about the subject. It’s constant.
But the second someone in a shopping mall decides to sell a novelty toy that looks like a pig, everyone starts crying about morality.

The comments about extremists are slightly off-topic, but I’m asking the moderators not to delete this. Just read the first page, or at least the beginning, and you'll understand the context of the question.

The problem is that it's just easier to find a scapegoat at the local LZN or the Mall of America to keep the uneducated masses entertained. Meanwhile, for Bajram—which has turned into this typical consumerist holiday with more drunk people and fatalities—they throw parties where you can grab vodka mixed with Red Bull!?
Reis-efendija doesn't even bother giving it much weight, since his ancestors were basically Newsweek and Radoncic in their crusade against "Islamophobia." It’s all just pathetic...🤷

What can I tell you? There’s just no logic with them—there never has been.

Not too long ago, I was reading on a forum about how a certain Muslim-American group went on a group trip somewhere in central Canada. Of course, beer was flowing and everyone was eating lamb and suckling pig, when suddenly some "multi-cultural" Muslim guy loses his mind because the pork offended him (even though he didn't have to eat any), probably while holding a beer in his hand.

Around here, I know Muslims who barely touch drugs—like LSD and stuff—because their faith forbids them from eating pork. 😂 But I also know plenty who sneak a bite when no one is looking. 😂

So, I really have no idea what they're talking about. (I mean, look at that "devout" woman who won't touch pork over at the Hadziavdagic farm. 😂), maybe they just have some weird hidden fetish for pigs. 🤷

Look, you find all kinds of people. The US is a mess, but generally speaking, Canada is much worse than the rest of the country. Because of that, you see cases here where Muslims take the tougher jobs in companies. Mostly, I know of instances where a crew comes for lunch, and most of them specifically ask for pork (even if they have to dig in the dirt all day). I haven't seen a single Muslim refuse vodka... apparently, everyone here is like that. I've heard stories about people heading to Canada just to carouse. I also know of a case where a Muslim man secretly bought pork and told the butcher to grind it down so the bones wouldn't be visible...

PS. I've seen plenty of Muslims bragging about visiting brothels. You meet a guy five minutes ago, and he's already explaining which prostitute he's going to visit... (I just stare at him, speechless).

Exactly. Even if some of it is just a distraction tactic, I’d argue it really comes down to plain old hatred. It's pure resentment toward anyone perceived as "different" within the supposed multi-cultural fabric of Canada, coming from people who claim to be so tolerant. That hatred ends up being taken out on a poor, innocent child. 🙏

Honestly, this whole thing is such a level of stupidity that I don't even know how to respond. 🤷

That's precisely the point. I respect everyone, but if someone tries to dictate my thoughts to me when they haven't even cleaned up their own mess at home, all they're going to get is backlash.

I say, once we finally get our very own TV channel—and mark my words, it’s going to happen—we should have a little tradition. Every single time, right before the programming starts, we should kick things off with Peppa Pig. Then, once the broadcast wraps up, we play Peppa Pig again. And when the screen goes dark? That's when we show Peppa Pig on those static lines. 😁
