Nobody really listened to Tony while he was still around. He was a decent enough guy, I guess—just wasn't much of a singer. Thompson has a few hits here and there, but honestly, he’s a hundred times more popular with the folks living abroad.

Agreed.

That makes you hypocritical. You're generalizing too, since you were the first one to use that phrase to describe everyone who listens to Thompson:
Anonymous said:As Americans, we also hate those sweeping generalizations and labels—like saying if you don't listen to him, you aren't patriotic or a real American, but instead some kind of Yuppie-communist hybrid, or whatever term you guys use.
It is absolute nonsense to equate a single singer with patriotism or national identity. Being a patriot isn't his personal property or some special privilege he gets to hand out.

So please, don't tell me "as you people always say." I am not part of that group.

And you actually like that fascist salute? Seriously?🙄🙄🙄

Honestly, I’m right there with all you Thompson fans. Fascist greetings. Is that really how it is? Is that what the kids want these days?🙄Look, we're talking about our kids here—and I don't mean just a few teenagers. We're talking about hundreds of them. This isn't just some typical teenage rebellion; these kids have left the house wearing fascist uniforms...
Something else just fascinates me. MPT actually has this knack for pulling massive crowds together. I mean, if they had any sense, how could they not use that influence? They should just say, "Listen up..."Kids, put your hands down. We aren't fascists!
Why doesn't he just ban them? Why not go on record and tell everyone that at his concert, they should... They just can't. Wearing Ustase uniforms???

Teenage rebellion is happening everywhere—here in the States, in Canada, in Canada—but you don't see kids out there greeting each other with fascist salutes. Not anywhere.

Would you really want your kid to be one of these people, standing there raising their hand just like Hitler?

Are you all actually aware that this younger generation is completely misidentifying themselves?

Are you actually aware that this kind of labeling is going to have massive repercussions for society?

Are you even aware that your society is split right down the middle—dividing people into "true Americans" and everyone else?

Are you guys even aware that MPT has a direct—or at least an indirect—influence on this kind of behavior? No. You seriously aren't.
That’s entirely your own problem. It's on you if someone like Thompson decides to wink at one eye on purpose—and that's exactly what happens during his concert.

And in the end, what’s actually your problem? Why does it bother you so much that I’m just stating my opinion? Am I suddenly "unfit" or "difficult" just because I have a different take? Is that how it works now? Or what?

Just sit down. Thompson's songs speak for themselves, so interpret them however you want, but start with this one because it's always played at the shows.

Who even is this Tom guy? Where does he perform? When's his next gig?

No way—I'm honestly just laughing at the sentence structure here... and I think I'll pass on commenting on the rest of this.

Correction: some of you Thompson fans.
And you really think you're in a position to argue with me?😕

Honestly, I’m embarrassed to even be sharing a country with you. It’s a small consolation, though, that I possess at least a shred more decency—especially regarding the deceased—and I certainly don't feel the need to compare myself to you.☕

It's not that "God abandoned us"... It's more like God just gave up on us entirely.☕

Besides, your intellectual capacity clearly limits you to this specific style of writing. Just tell me—are you older or younger than fifteen?😍div>

And how was I supposed to know who Tony was? I had no idea he was even dead. My bad.

Just more work for us. If God were actually running the show instead of letting us handle it, things wouldn't be what they are. I guess if God stepped in to help us out with everything, it wouldn't really count for much anyway.

Fine, let me earn my stripes then: what kind of favors did you pull with the moderator to let you run around here nursing your ego and trolling the thread?

The whole thing is basically a Madhouse, which makes this topic perfectly suited for it. Trolling and spamming seem to be unavoidable at this point.

Tomcon... I honestly don't know what to say. I'm not going to get dragged into any political shouting matches because we've all heard it all before, but his voice is just nothing. Sorry, but it is what it is. He should probably just grab some Bekunis tea and sort out his issues.

Tony... man, he passed away, which is sad, truly, but his songs are just... lightweight. He has a better voice than Tomcon, but neither of them really fits my musical taste.🤷

While they're busy raising their right hands just to be defiant like that, they're identifying themselves perfectly well enough...👍☕
