At an MPT concert, you'll find sympathizers of all kinds, but that doesn't mean everyone listening is part of that movement. It's not like MPT is the only one with that kind of following. Besides, most of it is just youthful rebellion; it's hard to imagine anyone over 20 showing up to a concert dressed like a fascist. Maybe there were a few people out of 100,000. At the end of the day, even extremists have the right to listen to music and pick what they like. It makes sense that they'd gravitate toward MPT since the themes are about the homeland. Loving patriotic music doesn't make you a fascist.

👍 It was like a dream in Cavoglava this year. There were over 100,000 people there. I could count on one hand the number of kids—and I mean actual children—who were wearing extremist symbols at his show. My husband and I were right near the stage, and I can tell you, there wasn't a single riot. In fact, it was way calmer than, say, a Gibonni or Colonija concert where everyone is just shoving and stepping on each other. At Thompson's, it was actually quite peaceful. I had a great time, though I'm not usually one for being stuck in massive crowds.

The media is just awful, truly. You can't believe the things these journalists are capable of doing. Then, predictably, people read those stories and start believing them. "Oh, so Thompson really is a fascist." It's just nonsense.🤣

Look, there's really no argument here. Thompson sings about his love for the country, and if you want to listen to him, go for it. It's your call!

Tony, obviously.🙂But honestly, you can't even put these two singers in the same conversation. Here is why:
1. Thompson built his fame singing patriotic anthems during the war, which eventually morphed into something much more controversial. We all know he tried to pivot to love songs—think about those tracks dedicated to his wife—but it just didn't move the needle for him. It wasn't profitable, and it certainly didn't sell out arenas. So, what did he do? He went right back to his old playbook. Before the Cavoglava era, he was just some unknown guy, and frankly, his vocal talent leaves a lot to be desired. But here is the kicker: Thompson isn't exactly a peacemaker. He hasn't exactly been handing out massive charitable donations either (correct me if I'm wrong there). In fact, he’s performed on the taxpayer's dime—remember those concerts in downtown New York City? Basically, he kept the change for himself.
2. Tony, on the other hand, stands in a league of his own because of a few simple facts:
A breathtaking voice.
A true peacemaker and humanitarian.
A wonderful young man who spread nothing but love rather than division. Most importantly, he didn't build a fortune off nationalistic resentment; he earned his living through pure, unadulterated talent.
