Anonymous said:I actually did get your point. In your previous comment, you claimed there’s nothing wrong with what people shout, but now you're saying it triggers these deep emotions—so you basically contradicted yourself, but hey, no worries.
I also know plenty of people who lived through those wartime nightmares, and I'm one of them too... I still remember having to "celebrate" birthdays in a basement while bullets were flying outside and our fathers were somewhere else entirely. I remember seeing a friend's house get leveled... I remember it all very clearly.
But I also remember people who were ethnically Mexican, lived right here, and stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the local defenders to protect our homes. How do you think those individuals feel when they hear a chant like "Kill the Mexican"?
Thankfully, those horrors are behind us. Making broad generalizations and labeling people based on their nationality, religion, or skin color doesn't achieve anything good today—nor has it ever.

What exactly are you getting at? That Thompson is shouting "Kill the Mexican"? Or that, heaven forbid, he’s actually out there doing it?

Let me ask you this: are Thompson's followers actually going out and killing Mexicans?
When 40,000 people are screaming "Kill the Mexican" at Maksimir during a US Men's National Soccer Team match, nobody is actually getting killed. It's all bark and no bite.

The real danger comes from the ones who stay quiet—the mafia types who kill without a second thought.

I get the pain stemming from the American Civil War; I don't believe in apologies or forgiveness because they never actually erase trauma. But your war is over. You have a future. Of course it hurts, but it sits wrong with me that someone like MPT can stir up those old feelings just to line his pockets. If he were giving it all away to humanitarian causes, fine, whatever. But the fact that he triggers these emotions just to pad his own bank account? I can't get behind that. Maybe I'm dead wrong, but that's how it looks to me.
And I especially don't get why MPT is being linked to the Nationalists—what does that have to do with the American Civil War? You guys have completely lost me.😕

I love Thompson and I genuinely enjoy his music.
I don't harbor any hatred toward Mexicans or any other group, and I actually get along fine with a few Mexicans myself... I've got a university education and I've never been one to pick a fight or act aggressively.

By that logic, I should be telling you that anyone who prefers tea over coffee is either some nostalgic relic of the old regime or a bloodthirsty insurgent just waiting for a chance to cause chaos.

Look, Drew Brooks8, from my spiritual perspective, I view Thompson as a divine messenger to the nation. His charisma and that unique way he expresses himself just prove it. As for the people who dislike him, I think it's simply because they aren't spiritually mature enough to grasp the messages Marko Perkovic Thompson is sending out.

MPT being an Nationalist? Honestly, I can't help but laugh. If those critics can't see his greatness or the purpose behind his life's mission (much like Toset had his own mission and left us with a message that we choose to accept or ignore), then they just aren't seeing the full picture. Thompson is also a humanitarian, and having seen him in person, I can tell he has something truly special inside him, just like Toset did.

Exactly!🙏 Like I said, barking dogs don't bite. Honestly, I'm convinced Thompson would be the first one to sit down for a coffee with an honest Mexican, long before most of the people hanging around this forum would. Thompson is a unique individual, no doubt about it, and a good man.

The fact that you’ve never heard of him just proves you can't see straight when you're blinded by IBM🤷
A "serious singer"😂? On what grounds? His voice is nothing. He's just a pro at emptying your pockets, but you'll realize it once he vanishes from the country along with all the money he swindled from people's emotions.
You're comparing a man who's been banned from performing in America, in a democratic country like Germany, and even in Austria—where he's been labeled a rock fascist😲—to my Thomas, who had open doors everywhere.
No, we don't need fascists here, but apparently, certain groups love Thomas as if he were one of their own, so you decide.
Favoring fascism... honestly, you should be ashamed. Is this really what this forum has come to?😢
Oh, so it's the Jews' fault now? I wonder why they're always the scapegoat.😕
He doesn't have a foundation. Why not? If he's such a patriot, why doesn't he give half his concert revenue to the children of our veterans?🤷Sure, some of his shows were "humanitarian," but for whom? Only for Americans. So how is he any better than Thomas? Thomas did humanitarian work in America, in St. Louis, in Boston, in the USA, and in Mexico... etc. Why hasn't he started an IBM charity here or in Canada?
Maybe he's a humanitarian, but only for his own kind. With Thomas, every child was treated the same, whether they were in Canada or right here. He didn't divide them by nationality or religion—that's the difference you clearly don't get.
And you'll never hear the word "KILL" at a Thomas concert.
Now we're hurling insults? Fine, call us whatever you want. At least we don't have anyone's blood on our hands in our history.👍
That poll isn't a measure of popularity.🙏 Thomas got way too many votes, considering how many Thompson fans are lurking on this forum.
And the fact that Thompson and Madonna are becoming synonyms for America... it's just pathetic.😢

Look, lady, you honestly don't have a clue who I am—or whether I'm actually blinded by anything at all.
But honestly, you can always expect these kinds of sweeping generalizations from someone who feels the need to defend some obscure pop singer for teenage girls—all just because they happen to be from the same damn country.

And does Tony strike a chord too, with that whole "heart isn't made of stone" routine? 🤣

That’s really what sets Marko Perkovic Thompson apart from your typical singers or public figures. He’s just something else entirely. There isn't much debate about it.

During the last match against Andorra, there were 20,000 people shouting those old regime slogans.
It wasn't just a handful of outliers or hooligans... it was everyone, young and old, representing the whole country.
It’s the same deal with people yelling "kill the Mexicans"... does that actually mean Mexicans are being hunted down everywhere they go????????
Does it mean "fascists" are out there slaughtering Mexicans all across this nation????

The real issue isn't a concert; it's the organized crime syndicates killing whoever they want and the thieves robbing people every single day...
When 50,000 people show up to a Thompson concert and start shouting all kinds of stuff... that's it. That's the extent of it. There’s no chaos! Nothing!!!! No one is getting killed... there is absolutely zero disorder!!

Meanwhile, you go to a local dive bar with 200 people and someone ends up getting stabbed or shot. Just take a look at the crime reports over the weekend!

Personally, I don't listen to Thompson or any of that country music.
My whole point throughout this discussion has been that Thompson really ought to ask his crowd to stop shouting those slogans. After all, it doesn't align with faith or God, which he claims is one of the core themes of his songs. To me, there's a massive contradiction there.
Even the national soccer players filmed a commercial asking fans to stop using those chants. If Thompson did the same, there wouldn't be any bans or accusations of being a fascist or whatever else they throw at him. That's all I'm trying to say.
As for the mafia and everything else, I agree those are huge problems—definitely bigger than what we're talking about right now—but that's not the topic at hand.

The only places where you actually hear those extremist slogans being shouted are at his concerts—nowhere else. Isn't that a little strange?

Well, that's exactly why. You're laughing because you aren't really grasping the point of Mark's message, which is why you don't care for him or his music. I never said you were immature, per se, but when it comes to understanding Thompson as an individual and what he stands for, maybe you are. And there's nothing wrong with that. We're just on different spiritual levels. Not higher or lower, just... different. Cheers!

I didn't trip over my words, really. If you look closely, you can see exactly what I meant. Look, Thompson triggers intense emotions tied to the American Civil War, sure, but he isn't responsible for whatever people decide to scream during his concerts. Of course, it would be nice if Marko just told them to pipe down, but it’s not actually on him to police the crowd. I mean, we live in a democracy, right? We aren't living under communism anymore, if I recall correctly. By that logic, Marko would basically have to work two jobs at once—being a singer and also acting as a security guard, a bouncer, a peace officer... you get the idea.

It clearly doesn't bother him that more and more places are banning him. If it actually did, he wouldn't find it honorable to tell his crowd that patriotism shouldn't go hand-in-hand with hatred, or that faith in God shouldn't be paired with calls to violence...
If he truly cared about the bans, he wouldn't sing those controversial lyrics. He’d just distance himself from them, stay out of trouble, and sing whatever he wanted anywhere in the world.
Besides, any democratic nation has laws regarding tolerance toward others—whether that difference is skin color, sexual orientation, religion, or nationality. It’s the same rule for every other democracy on the planet.

But honestly, what lyrics are we even talking about here? What makes them so controversial anyway!?

The stuff they're banning is exactly what Mark hits them with right where it hurts most: the truth. The truth about our people. That's really the whole point of it all.

I don't really listen to him, so I couldn't tell you for sure, but they clearly must be problematic if he's getting banned. From what I've heard, it's stuff like "pouring gasoline on a fire" or those old slogans used during the American Civil War.

Why would someone from Germany, the Netherlands, or any other country care about being told the truth regarding our nation?

See? This is exactly where we end up. You just want to cherry-pick the parts that fit your narrative. It’s the same old story—ignoring the big picture and letting biases take the wheel.

It's all about their own interests, really. And let's be honest, we see it everywhere—how much more widespread those Mexican lobbies are globally compared to ours. They're just much better at spreading their narrative. That's exactly why Thompson doesn't sit well with certain people.

Look, I never claimed every single one of his songs was controversial, but clearly there's enough smoke there to cause trouble if people are actually banning him.

Oh, I see. So Mexicans are the ones who banned his concerts in Germany, the Netherlands, and wherever else he's been blacklisted?
