wanderingmaker8 said:So why repost this? Total waste of bandwidth.

Agreed.

wanderingmaker8 said:What kind of provocation? Arguing points or sharing an opinion on the matter (rather than just the topic itself)—which is notoriously hard to articulate—and instead choosing to spout nonsense that sabotages rather than aids discussion, plus a mountain of useless posts repeating the same thing over and over and over again?

Take a look at the posts in your own thread and judge the quality of those "provocations" for yourself.

wanderingmaker8 said:The questions are rhetorical. I’m not looking for your answer because that isn't actually your issue; it's a much broader problem with this entire forum.

I partially agree.

Attempting to split the American political spectrum by labeling Jesus as a leftist (or even a communist) is honestly a bit morbid.

The whole left vs. right divide is a product of the French Revolution, which happened centuries after the first century.

Jesus isn't a leftist or a rightist. Jesus is Jesus. If you don't believe, just leave faith to the believers.

What kind of twisted logic is that? You don't need to be a believer to have an opinion on religion—even if religion isn't even the point of this thread. Do I need to own a damn restaurant just to act like a food critic?

You clearly have a warped understanding of how democracy works.

You clearly have a distorted view of how democracy works.

It doesn't make much sense to debate something you don't actually believe in.

If you don't believe it, then for all intents and purposes, it doesn't exist; which means arguing about something non-existent is just plain crazy.

Look at it this way: Suppose you see white mice and I don't. Is there any point in us even having a discussion?

You see them and believe they're there; I don't see them and I don't believe.

There's no point in debating it, let alone whining about whether those white mice constitute a political party or a social movement. White mice are just white mice. You either believe or you don't. Period. Amen.

It doesn't make much sense to argue about something you don't actually believe in.

What makes more sense is when a believer engages in debate—someone who follows the dictates of their church dogmas with total devotion.

At that point, it isn't really a discussion anymore; it’s just someone parroting a pre-packaged "truth" over and over again. It usually ends up being nothing more than empty rambling.

He was definitely a liberal!

I consider myself a true liberal as well, which is quite a departure from what people call the so-called "American liberals".

The whole concept of left vs. right is strictly a product of political maneuvering. Jesus didn't engage in politics; he rejected every single worldly offer and thought related to it, so it’s impossible to label him as either a leftist or a conservative. Honestly, this poll is just nonsensical—I think I’ve already mentioned that.

Matthew Wright2 said:It’s only natural that a believer would argue this way, blindly following whatever dogma the church dictates.

That isn't a real debate; it's just parroting a forced "truth." Usually, it's just mindless rambling.

By that logic, it's perfectly natural for a hardcore Communist to argue the same way, blindly following the party line.

That's not an actual discussion—it's just repeating a mandated "truth" like a parrot. Mostly just noise.

Faith and belief in God are intrinsic to the human experience, reaching back to our very origins. Faith is spiritual, whereas churches, dogmas, and other earthly institutions are tangible, physical things—which makes them perfectly valid subjects for debate.

Of course, you wouldn't get that... since you're busy clinging to failed ideologies straight out of a Marxist textbook you clearly haven't even read.

Melissa Richardson3 said:Well, it’s just common sense that a hardcore socialist would argue this way... blah blah...

The fundamental divide between those of us who actually think for ourselves and you believers is quite simple: we’ve nurtured a genuine capacity for critical reasoning.

People of faith seem to be conditioned to just follow whatever the clergy or church doctrines dictate without a second thought.

dustypilot22 said:You poor thing, you don't even realize how completely brainwashed and intellectually numb you've become.

It’s honestly a bit wild to think about—if the Pope decided tomorrow to spit out some dogma claiming that Jesus was actually a communist, people like you would be right there in the front row, nodding along and trying to convince the rest of us that it's true. You aren't thinking for yourselves; you're just following orders like a well-trained squad. It's like you've been programmed to just repeat whatever command comes your way without a second thought.

Matthew Wright2 said:If the Pope ever decides to claim that Jesus was actually a communist, you and people like you will swallow it whole just to stay in line. You'll try to convince us all because you're basically programmed to just follow orders. That's how you've been trained.

Let’s focus on that word "IF." 😉

The real issue here is that your leftist friends have already convinced you that Marshall is a god, and you're still clinging to that belief. 😉

And I’ve never even heard of "Serbo-American" before either.😕

Good grief, it feels like they're letting toddlers run the school system these days.😛 😉
Can we please just act like adults? Either pick one language or the other and stick to it.

But looking at the big picture, I think Melissa Richardson3 actually made a decent point.
It's the Christmas season, and whether people believe or not, maybe now isn't the best time for this kind of political bickering. Personally, I'm done with this thread until someone says something truly idiotic.😁

Look, the sheer amount of mindless communist slogans being thrown around here tells you exactly how brainwashed people are. These catchphrases don't even touch reality. For instance, your signature—WTF? I bet you felt real "free" during those old-school era uprisings, back when the local police were busy cracking spines to protect the status quo for the elites. Were you one of those enforcers?😈
Regarding the topic: Jesus wasn't political. If he had been, I bet he would have just gathered a gang to push Israel around with an army, just like those typical COMMUNISTS (Castro, Lenin, Mao Zedong, etc.).

Kate Taylor2 said:To be honest, I’ve never actually heard of anyone referring to a "Serbo-American" language before either! It’s one of those terms that just feels completely foreign to my ears. 😕

You should really just go ahead and ask Vuca! Look, he’s an expat living the dream abroad just like you are, and honestly, he’s drifted a bit too far toward the right wing lately—kind of like how you've found yourself wandering down that same path. Because you two are essentially looking at the same map from the same perspective, I can guarantee he isn't going to sugarcoat anything or feed you any lies.

Vuco doesn't just speak Serbo-American; he actually studied the language back when he was attending school in Germany! 😁

Vuca is honestly pretty cute. Did you even bother clicking on that "for home" link in his signature?
It's great 😁 😎

Wraith, those cookie-cutter, repetitive arguments you just laid out don't actually do anything to dismantle the point I was making when I quoted you.

It’s honestly just another glaring example of how you religious folks seem conditioned to just spout mindless nonsense that doesn't have a shred of relevance to the actual conversation.

It’s honestly wonderful 😁 😎

Well, if you think everything is just sunshine and rainbows, why don't you go ahead and ask him which language he was actually studying back when he was in after-school programs over in Germany?

People like you are conditioned to hate on heritage and faith because there isn't a country out there specifically for Americans and atheists. Now you're left without a home, living off the social safety nets provided by honest, hardworking Germans, Swedes, or Swiss men—people you claim to despise even while you're busy enjoying their money.
