Look, I’m telling you—all you really need to do is just pay for the lift tickets and call it a day. 🙂
You're right, snake—that’s kind of how my partner and I decided to play it; we're just going to enjoy life and not actively try for a baby, though if it happens, it happens.😍
But honestly, those people who start nagging about how much harder it gets after 30 really get under my skin.😠[/QUOTE

As for me, my period finally passed and I'm feeling... okay, I suppose. A bit of sadness hit me, but I'm slowly recovering—I mean, I'm hoping it might actually work this time, but even if it doesn't, there's still plenty of time, so don't worry too much. Please, don't listen to all that nonsense people spout; a relative of mine actually conceived at 37 after trying for four years straight. Just don't dwell on those silly assumptions—a baby will come eventually, it's just a matter of timing. Everything works itself out, you just shouldn't overthink it...
Until then, we'll just be waiting and hoping... though I know there will be a positive result one day... When? Well, just relax and stop obsessing. Honey, let's just throw ourselves back into work, and I'll do the same... kisses.
My period passed too, and I'm doing alright now—my hormones have finally settled down, so we're in pretty much the same boat.😘
My partner and I have already thrown ourselves back into our careers, so whenever it happens, it happens.🙏
I'm hoping we'll both be posting on the pregnancy forums soon.🙂
Fingers crossed for us both.🙂
Anna Ox: Jaooooooo😘 🙂 🎉congrats on the amazing news!

Oh Jeremy Nelson3, I hope so too—actually, wait, I know we will... we just want to get back to our normal routines ASAP.......................
I've started trying again, and honestly, regardless of what the results show, I'm not letting myself get worked up anymore—it'll happen when it happens.........until then, we can just cheer on all the new moms, and hopefully, we'll be joining them together before long...best wishes😘

Hey, they say you learn from your mistakes, but sometimes those lessons hit way too 😉

I don't know how else to put this—even though I’ve dealt with similar situations over the years (some ended well, others... not so much), I finally had a massive realization:

As a woman, you basically have to be 200 times more careful than him. You have to be the one to say "no" if there isn't reliable contraception involved, regardless of whether you're in a committed relationship or just hooking up, and regardless of how much you actually want to do it..
It’s a harsh reality. For one fleeting moment of pleasure—kind of like a cheap gift card experience—we women end up stuck with days of anxiety and endless questioning, even when we're being careful with birth control.

Let me give you a personal example..
I ended up pregnant despite using a condom. Believe it or not.
The reason? We didn't keep it stored in a cool, dry place (so the material degraded!). Seriously... you have to watch every single little detail!
It's the same thing with the pill; so many women end up pregnant just because they missed their window by a few hours... it happens all the time...
Don't take my word for it, but when you find yourself in that tiny 0.3% margin, you realize you truly have to look out for yourself!!! Getting pregnant is terrifyingly easy if his swimmers are active..

Honestly, the sheer possibility of it all and how easily it can happen just totally broke me mentally 😉

I just went to a standard lab at the local community clinic.
Without a referral from a doctor you have to pay out of pocket—can't recall the exact amount, maybe around $110—$40
👍

I just want to be one hundred percent certain—as soon as possible—because I feel like I’m going to lose my mind if we don't speak up soon. That said, I really have no intention of saying anything until I am absolutely, unequivocally sure...

I headed out without a referral—just wanted answers immediately
And honestly? I know the results were ready the same day, within just a few hours

Jacob Patel3, honestly, nobody on this forum has actually dealt with a false positive yet. So far, it’s been nothing but false negatives—but that’s a whole different headache 😉

Thank you, ladies, for all the responses—it’s honestly driving me a little crazy not having anyone to talk to about this. I have to admit, I’ve actually started hoping that I am pregnant rather than worrying that I'm not... I’ve already scrolled through a mountain of articles online... Thankfully, my boyfriend was totally on board with the idea, though I honestly don't know what he would have done if things had gone differently. What I'm dreading most, though, is telling my parents. My sister just got married two months ago, and there's likely another wedding coming up soon, followed by a baby... I just have no idea where we would even find the money for all of this...

And when was your last period?

My sweet friends, thank you all so, so much. Honestly, I hope to be sharing this same kind of news with you all very soon—that would truly make my day.
I’m just waiting for more signs now. I am praying to God that everything stays on track and that this pregnancy is successful. But hey, staying positive!

My last period was from October 2nd to the 8th.

Honestly, everything feels surreal right now—I feel like some seasoned veteran who should have it all figured out, yet I can’t stop thinking about how incredibly confused and overwhelmed I was that morning when I saw those two lines on the pregnancy test 😍
