Unnamable, unavoidable, and utterly without a name.

Nice one, grizli!

This isn't some high-minded philosophical debate. It’s a mystical sermon. Attempting to argue with mysticism is a fool's errand—it's practically a symptom of insanity.

Nice one, Karen Sanchez19!

grizli said:But then HOW can you be so sure it's a bull?
grizli said:Everything you say is just an absolute claim...
when everything you're telling me is just based on assumptions..
I AM exactly what you're claiming—it's how I think, how I feel, and how I speak.😁

just because I say a COW can't kill me😉
Ahu Soph Nia said:Of course you can't, and you can't prove it either—not through mere words.
But if you can actually present me with an immortal cow whose very will serves as the fountainhead for all abundance, life, and bliss, then I might just be forced to concede.
Ever heard of Hathor?

Lame Deer said:"I AM" is absolute—you cloudy-eyed chief. 🙂

this grand Istina?
How can we even claim to know what the Absolute is, or what this reality truly represents? What are soul and spirit, really?
grizli said:Look, you could call this energetic, etheric body your "soul"—but then the actual spirit would have to be something else entirely, like a being, an absolute, or the universe itself—I don't know.
Ahu Soph Nia said:Karen Sanchez19, I’m sorry you’re even more lost than you were before.
Ahu Soph Nia said:Discussion is reserved for those who insist, "My truth is absolute, and yours is invalid." A true sage avoids such arrogance; therefore, with them, there is no need for debate.
Bowl of Saki, by Hazrat Inayat Khan
Karen Sanchez19; regarding most of the points you and Lame Deer have raised; I’ll concede they hold water. But I maintain that my own perspective is equally valid.
The actual questions gnawing at all of us here ought to be framed like this:
In what specific way can we distinguish the Spirit from the Soul? What is the practical tool—the mechanism, the method—to perceive one versus the other?
Can you offer some guidance, Karen Sanchez19?😉 👍

Ahu Soph Nia said:So, your final verdict on the question Dragan posed is simply that there’s no difference.

You’ve repeated yourself twice now, and then a third time there in the quote. 👎
This isn't even about philosophy; it's just poor (if good even exists 😕) theology
Since Christian theology is the most widespread here in the States, I should point out that the Bible doesn't actually separate the body from the soul—they are one and the same. It was only through later, popularized interpretations (by people who clearly missed the point) that this "holy trinity" of spirit-soul-body emerged. That leads directly to that famous nonsense:
"Humans possess an immortal soul."😁
As Albert Einstein once said: Only stupidity is infinite. 😉

Ahu Soph Nia said:I have to disagree; this is essentially about the nature of God.
It’s something atheists just can't seem to wrap their heads around.
That's an interesting take, and honestly, I find it quite amusing.
Any positive assertion regarding God is inherently—by definition—false.
That makes theology nothing more than a structured system of falsehoods.
...the immortal soul occasionally manifests in human form.
In my view, Buddhists are getting closest to the truth:
There is no such thing as an immortal soul, yet there remains a need for a "soul"
(an eon, a monad, etc.) to facilitate reincarnation.
...it gave people a reason to stop thinking; ...
I would argue instead that it provided people with plenty of material for contemplation
and, more importantly, for questioning and overcoming the deep-seated biases and delusions they were once trapped by.
