Thanks 😉

Does anyone have any recommendations for good local bakeries in NYC? I just got married and I’d love to treat the office folks who couldn't make it to the wedding... I also need something that can be put together pretty quickly 🙂

Quick recommendation: you really have to try the iced wind from Rakovec. Everything is super affordable, plus the cookies and cakes are honestly gorgeous and taste amazing

Has anyone here tried those boutique cake shops lately? I'd love to hear some experiences...

Dear brides-to-be... or perhaps even better, those of you who have already navigated the wedding process... 🙂

I am hosting a wedding this coming fall, and while most of the arrangements have been settled quite swiftly and seamlessly, I find myself facing a significant dilemma regarding the dessert selection. 😁
Personally, I am not much of a dessert eater, yet I possess a profound passion for baking them, which means their aesthetic presentation and method of service are of paramount importance to me. The traditional "wedding medley" where various treats are simply tossed into a clear plastic box—a staple in my local area—is something I find quite unappealing. Conversely, a dedicated dessert station feels impractical, as I have no desire to see my guests trekking across the entire ballroom just to grab a few sweets.
Since I live roughly halfway between NYC and Orlando, I would prefer to find someone within a reasonable radius so that I might manage any potential delivery fees effectively.

Do any of you have recommendations for desserts that are both delicious and elegantly presented, perhaps on tiered stands or through some other sophisticated arrangement? Furthermore, did you find it necessary to rent those tiered stands separately, or were they included?

While attending a wedding expo at the arena, I sampled some truly exquisite pastries served on those very types of tiered displays; the vendor insisted that such a presentation was the standard approach. However, I wasn't focusing heavily on the dessert aspect at the time, and now I am struggling to recall exactly which vendor it was. 😵

Hey there,
does anyone have any good recommendations for cookies or cakes? I’m looking for something near the Krizevac area—specifically looking for places that can handle the paperwork/billing side of things too.
Feel free to shoot me a DM if you know a spot.

Hey everyone. I’m looking for some solid recommendations for actual, high-quality cakes in the Columbus or Krizevac area. I feel like I always end up disappointed whenever I try to order one, and honestly, I'm just tired of wasting money on mediocre desserts. I’m trying to find someone special to make a cake for a little girl's first birthday, and I’d really love to finally find a place that actually delivers on flavor so I don't have to deal with another letdown. 🙄

I could really use some help here!
Does anyone happen to have contact info for a baker on Instagram who goes by "Anne's cookie"? I'm trying to track them down.

Did you try sending her a message on Instagram?

I did, obviously. I tried more than once... but nothing worked.😢

I’ve heard people claim that 1.5 ounces per person is some kind of gold standard, but honestly—that just seems a bit light to me.

Interesting. A friend of mine had the exact opposite experience... Apparently, the cake looked so bad the bride actually burst into tears on her big day.
Visually? A total disaster. She told me it was the one thing that actually ruined her wedding.

Hey, does anyone know where I can pick up some wedding cake toppers? Like, you know, the little bride and groom figures and stuff? 😁

They’re a solid partner—most hobby shops and eBay carry them. 🙂

Honestly, it’s probably too late for eBay since I’ve completely lost interest in those specific figures! I'll check out those other two options instead, thanks. 🙂

I’d check out Dora Services over in the suburban neighborhood or maybe head down to All That and More near the outskirts.

What kind of wedding cake should I go with? Mine needs to be three tiers—any recommendations for the Miami area or nearby?

Also, I’d really love to avoid using fondant as a coating. Is that even doable? Has anyone here actually pulled off a combination like that?

Why on earth would anyone even consider using fondant? You just say you want buttercream or a glaze and call it a day.
Honestly, I find fondant so repulsive that I won't even touch the cake at weddings.
