I’d love to say yes, and honestly, we’ve been grinding on this since the start of February, but I’m a little nervous about the results. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't even show anything significant for at least another two or three weeks.

When my PMS hits, I usually just end up biting people—no headaches for me...

It wasn't the case for me, even though my period was 16 days late—so now I'm thinking😕 sometimes those home tests just aren't all they're cracked up to be.😠

I went through almost the exact same thing last month... we were trying for a baby and I was already convinced I’d hit the jackpot. Then, out of nowhere, my period arrived right on schedule. But this month? Total silence. Nothing.😍

The meds I’ve been taking for the last five days... he told me to run another test once I finish them... or just wait until my period starts... either way, you should probably give Gin a call...👍

I don't get it. Why were you even taking those in the first place?😕

If I were a doctor, I’d be able to give you a much more technical breakdown of what's happening here. But based on what I was told—it really comes down to this: if there's a pregnancy, the embryo needs to take hold, and that won't happen unless your hormone levels are properly balanced. It's as simple as that.👍

Right. Actually, just a few days ago, a friend mentioned her OB-GYN prescribed her some pills specifically to help support a pregnancy, so I figured that was exactly what I was looking for...

I was taking Dabu-something and Normabel—one was specifically to help with implantation so I wouldn't risk a miscarriage, and the other was to help keep things calm, though you can't really take those unless you're experiencing bleeding. With both of my kids, I started bleeding right away; with my first, I actually ended up in the hospital because I had to be on strict bed rest. If I hadn't been on those medications, I honestly think I could have lost both pregnancies.

Ladies, quick question for you.
I’ve read somewhere that discharge can increase during pregnancy, and honestly, mine has been incredibly heavy over the last few days... I called my OB/GYN to see if I could come in for an exam, but she won't even see me until mid-August, which she claims is doing me a huge favor. 😲
To be perfectly blunt, I don't actually believe I'm pregnant, but I figured I'd ask if there's any actual connection here before I bother pushing further. Also, my lower abdomen is aching. Could this possibly be some kind of infection? 🤔

That sounds like an infection for sure. Honestly, my best advice is to find a new doctor or just go to a private clinic... you need to get checked out RIGHT NOW!!!

As for the tests, mine didn't show anything at all, but then I went to my OBGYN three days later and they confirmed I was actually pregnant...

To be perfectly honest, the more I sit here and think about it, the more I'm convinced that's the case. It was only after I finished typing my last post that all the pieces finally started falling into place for me.

Hi everyone. I’ve spent all day scrolling through this forum, but I’m still feeling uneasy. How reliable is a test if taken about a week after the first day of my period?
Here is the situation: I woke up this morning with a headache, but it was unlike anything I've ever experienced. I deal with migraines during PMS—usually involving one bout of vomiting followed by sleep—but today I threw up at least ten times. From the migraine alone, I’ve read enough stories here to realize it varies for everyone. Personally, I haven't noticed any typical pregnancy symptoms; everything feels just like my usual PMS, except my breasts feel slightly larger since my last period. I also have the chills, which hasn't happened to me since I was a kid. My cycles have always been irregular. My second-to-last period was 16 days late, and when it arrived, it was shorter than usual. This most recent one started on July 5th; it lasted essentially one day, mostly just spotting when I went to the bathroom, followed by two days of discharge. I realize these symptoms could be caused by anything, and I don't have that "gut instinct" some people claim to have regarding pregnancy, but the doubt is there. Please help. How accurate would a test be if I took one right now? Or should I wait until my next expected period, which could be another 25 days away?

To me, this sounds like a temporary hormonal hiccup—maybe stress, a flu, whatever. Or, it could actually be pregnancy. Sometimes you get bleeding right around the time your period is supposed to start, but it’s actually decidual bleeding instead. I’d just take a test now; you can find cheap ones at any CVS. If it's positive, you'll know if it's from last month. If not, go see an OBGYN.
It'll be fine.😉

Nah, you aren't pregnant... it doesn't make sense... based on what you said, that last thing sounds like spotting rather than a period, especially if it was that short, and yeah, a period is one thing, but discharge is something else entirely! Don't count that as your period... I get spotting (brownish marks) all the time, and my OBGYN says some women just deal with certain hormones that way; it's nothing to worry about... but anyway, you definitely should check in with a doctor about any abnormal bleeding, even if it's usually nothing, just so a professional can confirm it... good luck!

Okay, I’ve got a question for you guys too!!🙂 It feels way too early to even think about taking a test, so I really need to pick your brains. My last period started on June 30th. Usually, my cycles are pretty steady, running between 26 and 29 days, so according to my ovulation calendar, my fertile window should have been roughly July 9th through the 14th... we had sex on the 7th, 8th, 10th, and 13th. But here's the thing—I can usually tell when I'm ovulating, and I honestly feel like it happened around the 12th or 13th. Plus, I'm feeling these symptoms right now! It's this light ache, or more like a heavy pressure in my lower abdomen, almost like I caught a little cold or something, though I don't think I actually am sick. And oh! My breasts are killing me!! Not like, constant pain out of nowhere, but they're so sensitive to touch that I can't even sleep on my stomach. Usually, that's just how my PMS feels. So, to make a long story short... since if conception actually happened based on the calendar, it would have been just a few days ago, is it possible to already be feeling this pelvic pressure and breast tenderness? I know, I know, it could totally just be PMS, but I don't remember ever feeling these symptoms this early before. Then again, maybe it's too soon for actual pregnancy signs? What do you all think? Just until I get to the point where I can finally take a test?

It is impossible to have any symptoms yet, believe me...😍 You just need to hang in there and be patient for a while longer...👍
