darkbear8 said:Okay, I’ve got a question for you guys too!!🙂 It feels way too early to even think about taking a test, so I really need to pick your brains. My last period started on June 30th. Usually, my cycles are pretty steady, running between 26 and 29 days, so according to my ovulation calendar, my fertile window should have been roughly July 9th through the 14th... we had sex on the 7th, 8th, 10th, and 13th. But here's the thing—I can usually tell when I'm ovulating, and I honestly feel like it happened around the 12th or 13th. Plus, I'm feeling these symptoms right now! It's this light ache, or more like a heavy pressure in my lower abdomen, almost like I caught a little cold or something, though I don't think I actually am sick. And oh! My breasts are killing me!! Not like, constant pain out of nowhere, but they're so sensitive to touch that I can't even sleep on my stomach. Usually, that's just how my PMS feels. So, to make a long story short... since if conception actually happened based on the calendar, it would have been just a few days ago, is it possible to already be feeling this pelvic pressure and breast tenderness? I know, I know, it could totally just be PMS, but I don't remember ever feeling these symptoms this early before. Then again, maybe it's too soon for actual pregnancy signs? What do you all think? Just until I get to the point where I can finally take a test?

I'm honestly not sure what to tell you. I also experienced certain symptoms
before my period actually missed, but I eventually realized I had just imagined everything
because I wanted to be pregnant so badly. Now that I am actually pregnant, I finally understand what true pregnancy symptoms feel like. I think there are tests that can show a positive result before a missed period, but that can also lead to unnecessary stress if it's too early. If I were you, I'd wait until the first day of a missed period and then take the test.
I'm crossing everything for you and hoping for a positive result.😘

Yeah, I get it—it’s way too early to be obsessing, but I just had to check in and see what you guys think. This is our first month trying to make it happen, so I’m trying to keep my expectations low... I mean, I know from talking to people that getting pregnant isn't always the instant thing everyone makes it out to be, no matter what the movies show. I guess I'm just wondering, when is the earliest you can actually start feeling symptoms? Or is it better to just stay totally zen and not even think about it?! That’s probably the best way, right!!! I’ll check back in with you all in a few weeks... maybe with a 😁positive sign, or maybe not!! 😁

Hey guys, I’m new here and just wanted to drop by and share my little saga with you all...

So, my last period was back on May 31st. During my fertile window, my man and I got a little adventurous, and we ended up doing two tests later on—one right away and another on the day my period was actually due. Both were total negatives. Just nothing. I figured, okay, nope, nothing happening, end of story...

But then, after a super short (like, annoyingly short) amount of time, things started changing. My boobs felt like literal balloons, I was running to the bathroom every thirty minutes, and for the last three days, I've been feeling nauseous as hell...

My husband was like, "Hey, let's just grab one more test..." So we went out and picked up a Clearblue.

I took it this morning, and I'm not even kidding—within a second, there was a big fat plus sign staring back at me...

The point is, a negative test doesn't always mean it's a "no"... there's always hope. And honestly? Don't stress yourselves out too much. My partner and I were just playing around for the first time to see if anything would happen; we only went all the way about five times without any actual planning... and boom, positive.

Just try to stay chill, stay happy, and stop overthinking everything... it'll all work out. Sending love to everyone and fingers crossed for you all!

😕 😕 Guys, I honestly have no clue where to even post this. Anyway, if you actually know your stuff, I could really use an answer here. What are the actual odds of a kid having some kind of birth defect if the parents are related—like, say, third cousins who share the same great-great-grandparent? I don't even know how to explain it properly.... Is that still technically considered incest, or does that term only apply to people who are super close blood relatives? And... yeah, just whatever else you might know about this kind of thing...

I really need some advice here because I’m clearly not thinking straight right now...

My last time having sex (with a condom) was on May 19th. On May 20th, I got my period (average flow), and then on June 21st, I got it again—it was a couple of days early this time, average flow, lasted about 5 days. This month, I was supposed to get it a day or two early, but nothing. No signs, no cramps, absolutely nothing.

Now I'm low-key panicking that I might be pregnant since I'm two days late, even though I don't feel like my period is coming. Should I just go grab a test already or wait a bit longer? What do you guys think? Is there even a chance of pregnancy if I had my last two periods and we used protection? As far as I can remember, the condom didn't break.

...the only sensible advice you’re going to get from anyone in this group is to just go out and buy a test kit...

You might be right, or you might be wrong... I’m standing right there with Arthur Nelson5 on this one. The only way to actually know for sure is to just go out and buy the test itself.

Wait, how many weeks am I actually allowed to get an abortion? Good grief, if my math is right, I’m already sitting on two months...

In my opinion, you aren't pregnant—especially not two months along—because like you said, you’ve already had two perfectly normal periods... though this one is just two days late, if I caught that right?

And honestly, if you guys were using protection, I find it hard to believe you're pregnant... but hey, just to be safe, if your period doesn't show up in the next couple of days, grab a test and deal with the stress once and for all. Good luck. 🙂

Jeffrey Cook55 said:Ugh, honestly guys, I just feel this overwhelming need for someone to hold my hand and guide me through this.

I was walking downtown today and every five minutes I found myself tearing up. I kept telling myself to just calm down, but it’s been such a struggle. On top of that, I've been feeling physically terrible—I can't tell if it's just pure anxiety or if it's actually part of the pregnancy.

I really should be studying for my final exam, but my brain is just mush. I can't even focus on looking at my notes, let alone reading them. My boyfriend suggested I just power through it now so I can get that degree out of the way, since things will only get harder later on.
And then there's the job situation. A friend called me three days ago offering me a position at his firm starting in about six weeks, and I was so excited about it. Now, everything feels so uncertain.
It's just... a lot.

But look, I don't want to be totally pessimistic. I've been debating whether to wait a little longer before telling my parents. My boyfriend asked if he should be there when I break the news, and my gut reaction was "no." I told him he didn't need to be there, that I'd rather handle it myself so he doesn't have to witness their shock. But now I'm second-guessing that. What do you all think? Should he be by my side or not? I know, at the end of the day, it's my call, but I'm still weighing it out...

One more thing—since I am completely clueless regarding > and how a baby develops 😬, I was thinking about picking up a book on the subject. Does anyone have any recommendations? Or is there something similar discussed here on the forum?

Anyway, thank you all so much. Even though I've ended up crying a few times reading your replies, it has honestly made me feel a little lighter. I'm really glad I reached out here. Sending big hugs to everyone.😘

Honestly, I'm in a similar boat—maybe even the exact same one. I took the same test about a week and a half ago and, well, predictably, it was positive. Since then, I've basically been a sobbing mess almost every single day. I've been living with my boyfriend for about a year and a half now; we're renting an apartment together, and he just went back to school, so I'm just sitting here thinking, what the hell am I supposed to do now?!
He's being incredibly supportive, which is great, but I just feel like I can't do it—I can't walk away from my job and everything else. I just don't know... I even looked into calling Planned Parenthood, and I'm seriously considering an abortion because it feels like the "easier" path right now. I don't even have a regular doctor, so I have to find one first just to get a referral for a clinic like Planned Parenthood... I am completely losing it, and I'm literally crying as I type this, haha.
God, help me.

Honestly, maybe I should just shut up!!!!!

Otherwise everyone is just going to lecture me again about how I'm "holding onto my moral values" or whatever.

I'm with you on that...
Look, I'm not saying you're a bad person, but honestly? You probably shouldn't have posted on a forum like this that you're looking to bail on everything...
Most people here are actually trying to put in the work and land a job...

I’m looking for some advice because I’m getting worried about my partner. She had her period about a month ago, though it was quite light. We’ve been having unprotected sex, though I do pull out before finishing. On August 20th, I went away on vacation for a week. Since I returned, she’s been complaining of nausea, some weight gain, breast tenderness, and a bit of bloating. We took a pregnancy test on August 28th, and it came back negative. Since then, we’ve started using protection because we aren't ready for a child yet—we're still young and need to focus on our future. However, her period is now about 6 or 7 days late, which she attributes to stress. As of today, September 3rd, she’s still dealing with abdominal pain and low energy, and her period still hasn't arrived. We just took another test, and once again, it was negative. Should I actually trust these tests? I keep telling her she needs to see her gynecologist because this situation is starting to feel off.
A couple of days ago, something strange happened. We were lying in bed together, and when I rested my head against her stomach, I heard these odd splashing sounds. I couldn't tell if it was fluid, perhaps related to pregnancy, or just her digestive system. I'm at a loss and honestly quite anxious—is she pregnant or not?
