brightpilot6 said:What is the point of having a dog in a restaurant anyway? 🙂 the poor thing is clearly suffering 🙂

Could someone please explain to me why a dog seems to struggle more just lying there in a restaurant than they do when they're relaxing at home? I’m genuinely looking for some enlightenment here. 🙏🙏

What kind of nonsense is this?

Is there anything more exhausting than this constant suffering? It feels like we're just being pushed to our limits, and for what? Is that really the point? Honestly, you all can deal with it however you want—can you even handle it? This is nothing short of pure terror, basically ISIS for people who aren't quite living in poverty.

Does anyone else feel like our city just can't catch a break when it comes to mayors? It feels like we’re stuck in a loop. Now that we might finally see the end of the current administration, the leading candidates look like a total joke. On one hand, you've got that windbag from the philosophy department, and on the other, there's that loudmouth Maras. Honestly, is there anyone actually sane left in the running? 🤦

He might not be the most brilliant mind on the planet, but if we're looking at the contenders for the top spot in the city, he’s certainly the one with the cleanest intentions.

And honestly, if anyone is actually going to embrace Hrebakov’s approach to transparency, it’ll be him.

In a place like this, a populist is basically anyone promising instant fixes, mass layoffs, or sweeping structural reforms. Given the actual state of affairs and the legal constraints we're working under, those things are simply impossible to pull off. This isn't some small town in the Midwest or a tiny rural county.

If Tomasevic is the only consistent, genuine, and effective opposition to Bandic and his criminal "nonsense," then how do you justify your own logic? By your own standards—where any level of social activism or fighting crime is dismissed as mere forum trash—where exactly do you place yourself on that little scale of yours?

Honestly, I couldn't care less about social activism.🙂

If things are really hitting rock bottom, I might even back that windbag just to see him screw over the flag-wavers even harder—but let’s be real, I’m not under any illusions about what he’s actually capable of achieving.

Going straight for the ad hominem. People are attacking dogs, so you get worked up. And now Real Madrid blew the win too. Makes sense...☕

Oh, give me a break. These gentlemen walk into restaurants and find themselves unable to enjoy their meal because of some dogs. And apparently, there's no one to turn to for a bit of sympathy.

😂

Honestly, I thought this was all just a bit of a joke, but clearly, I was mistaken.

It wouldn’t be much of an argument if, in a city like New York, at least three-quarters of the high-end establishments strictly prohibited dogs from entering. Instead, most places only allow small breeds, and usually only on the outdoor patios. And in most of those spots, you’ll see some unruly pup causing chaos regardless. It's hardly a crisis. But for our gourmet gentlemen over at Offside Chat—who, by the way, were eyeing a lunch at the Esplanada but are now too terrified they might catch a glimpse of a canine—it's apparently a tragedy.🙏

Go ahead and write to pisati plav kamenica; this is a topic that finally deserves some real discussion.

It seems you don't quite grasp the definition of "argumentum ad hominem." Perhaps a little more reading wouldn't hurt. ☕

Delusion, unfortunately, isn't really a form of critique; it’s more of a state of mourning.

Why is everyone acting so incredibly high-strung? Honestly, we all know these discussions always spiral into debates about things that don't even matter in the real world. I’m practically sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the inevitable thread about welfare benefits for two transgender women in the US. I already know ZZ will be leading the charge on that one. 😁

Look, Tomasevic is a total leftist moron, but I still have respect for him. If the situation called for it, sure, I'd probably vote for him. 🙂

Once I actually find a spare moment, I'll mess around with the poll and let you guys know what the results look like.

It’s fine for now, as long as they haven't started coming after us yet. But if we keep this up, those dog owners are going to start picking fights. Just look at Zidankovic over there—he's clearly getting worked up because we aren't exactly fans of his Lajs.

Charles Roberts33 said:Well, bravo, genius. That was the only thing missing. So, according to you, anyone who doesn't care for your dogs—or fails to grasp the sheer, blissful privilege of being in their esteemed company—is nothing more than some uncultured lowlife from the backwaters. Bravo, truly. Round of applause for that one.

Good grief. It’s truly a gift, isn't it? To walk into every single debate with this desperate need to prove you're the most stubborn person in the room—ready to take shots at anyone who dares disagree—while being completely incapable of actually listening to a word they say. That kind of selective hearing is quite a talent.

Just so you know, "vulgaris" in Latin doesn't mean primitive; it means common, ordinary, or everyday. I'll just assume this entire rant is the direct result of that little misunderstanding.

Wait, so now a populist is someone who promises layoffs and fiscal responsibility in the finance sector?!
Are we really talking about this in a country where political cronyism is practically a national pastime? Where is everyone acting all outraged over the poor school staff or the workers at the local shipyard? If someone is only appealing to maybe ten percent of the voters, they aren't a populist.

Give me a break. Seriously. And who exactly do you think was responsible for bringing in all those legal frameworks and collective bargaining agreements that are basically killing the environment?!

Trying to deny the criticism that Tomasevic isn't fit to be the deputy mayor by attacking my character and social involvement is a textbook ad hominem. But fine, let it go. It's too late now, and I should get some sleep. Tomorrow morning, just take your dog for a light walk to the local diner before work—and don't forget his little sweater. It gets chilly in the mornings. Goodnight...☕

Not quite. An ad hominem would be if I claimed his opinion was worthless simply because he’s an idiot. Instead, I merely asked him what his own metrics for political and social utility are, given his stance that Tomasevic is just someone who couldn't care less. I then asked him to justify that view by comparing himself to some anonymous internet commenter who—by his own admission—has zero interest in social engagement (which is perfectly legitimate and fair).

If he had called such an internet commenter a useless amoeba, then fine, we could argue that Tomasevic might be a non-entity on that same scale.

Immediate cuts. Massive reforms. You’ve elegantly ignored all the adjectives there. I didn't even mention fiscal responsibility myself—I'm not sure why you're imputing that to me, as it's a necessity and the absolute bare minimum.

Of course, we have to cut costs and implement reforms, but anyone claiming they can do it both rapidly and profoundly either has no idea what they're talking about or is lying through their teeth.

Making progress through small steps, with the occasional step backward, is really the best we can hope for. That is simply the reality of the situation.

What a joke this forum is 🙏
The second you take a different side, everyone starts coming for you. But sure, he’s just "progressive," "liberal," and "pro-socialist." At this rate, maybe he and Tomasevic are both sitting in the same kitchen eating Vegan Cevap together...

How are you supposed to deal with a group that treats the word "vulgar" like a personal assault? You can't. There's really no way to win.

The only thing left to do is keep a record of those who have made themselves notorious. Paul Martinez73, Charles Roberts33, Justin James10, and Noah Roberts46. While most of them don't particularly surprise me, there is one among them that truly leaves me wondering. ☕
