mistycrane19 said:Sanval messed me up too. I missed my bedroom door entirely and headed straight for the patio doors instead. I actually managed to slice my arm open on the glass, then ended up running to my neighbors in just my boxers, terrified. My family was home, but our house is huge so they didn't hear a thing. Honestly, I have zero memory of the whole mess... just a chaotic trip to the ER.🤦

Oh man, the Sanvalčić days... I spent the whole time scrubbing nonexistent stains off the floor tiles, texting my boyfriend to say I was heading to church, crying because I couldn't find my wallet only to realize it was sitting in the bathroom cabinet all along. Then I'm there scrubbing spilled milk out of the cat's bowl, finally collapsing into bed, only to wake up to a disaster zone: milk everywhere on the floor, the bowl flipped over, the fridge cracked wide open, and the cat somehow managed to drag a slice of salami out of there and start snacking on it. And yeah, that's just the tip of the iceberg...😂

I’ve been taking Seroquel, and I suppose I should say it’s actually quite an effective medication, though it does come with certain quirks. For instance, I find myself drifting off mid-sentence—much like I am right now while typing this out. It’s almost instantaneous; one moment I’m conscious, and the next, I’ve just slipped away for a second, which is something I can't quite seem to control

Is this loss of appetite going to pass? If things keep going this way, I’ll be staring down an anorexia diagnosis before I know it. 😢

I don't know what to tell you. Some things just aren't worth the headache. kaže:
Will this loss of appetite ever clear up? If things keep going like this, I’m going to end up with anorexia at this rate. 😢

It’ll be ready in a week or so. Don't sweat it.

Try to grab some breakfast before you take that first dose. It really helps.

I’ve definitely been there—that sudden fog—but then again, if I were just slamming 1000mg all at once for the hell of it, I suppose I wouldn't be complaining about being sleepy.🙂

How many milligrams are we talking about when you take that Seroquel xr—do you just knock the whole dose back at once, or are you splitting it up throughout the day?

I’ve been taking it three times a day; I split the morning dose in half, take the other half in the afternoon, and then finish off with the full 100mg at night.

I suppose I started out on 300mg a day—three 100mg doses—but that felt a bit too intense for me, so I adjusted my routine to this instead. It’s worth noting, though, that I’m not using the XR extended-release version, just the standard ones.

Anyway, how has the Seroquel been treating you? 🙂

Ah, okay—you're taking the standard ones. That explains everything. I thought you were on the VR, which makes a massive difference because those are supposed to be taken only once a day—at least, that’s what I’ve gathered from what people say.

As for me, I’m running 600mg at night and it’s actually fine. Sleep isn't an issue, and frankly, this works better for me than Serdolect, Zeldox, or any of the other stuff I've cycled through over the years. My only real gripe—the one nagging thing—is how incredibly difficult it is to drag myself out of bed in the morning.

Man, that Zeldrin! That stuff used to leave me barely able to stay upright; my eyes would just shut and I'd be out instantly...
I couldn't help but notice you're on pretty high doses, though. It might get a little unpleasant for you when you eventually decide to taper off....

Zelnorm didn't sit right with me either, though I'm not losing sleep over the withdrawal part. I'm feeling pretty stable now, so I've stopped obsessing over the exact milligram counts—but if things get to the point where we have to scale back, I trust my doctor to manage the transition and make sure the process isn't too brutal.

Interesting perspective...
Don't be so quick to believe that; reality is a much harsher pill to swallow...

Personally, I’ve been struggling through a full-blown addiction myself—it's a mess. What I can tell you is that your doctor is only there once every couple of weeks. What happens during those long stretches when you're stuck alone with your own head and the withdrawals?
-Believe me, it's a hellish road. It was so brutal that after I finally kicked my Oxycodone habit, the memory of it is burned so deep into my brain that I wouldn't dream of touching them again. I used to feel like jumping in front of a semi-truck just to make it stop. I'm not even exaggerating here.

I suppose people might think we're just trying to scare him, but I think you laid it out quite clearly. I went through detox for Xanax and methadone at a clinic over in Chicago, and the specialist there told me personally that the Xanax dependency can actually be even more brutal than the methadone one. Ugh, I can't really keep typing; it's my fourth day without methadone, I'm shaking uncontrollably, and it's summer outside.
But don't worry about me, I'm a lost cause. 🙂

Fair point. I don't think it's quite the same when a disease takes hold versus someone just messing around with heroin until addiction becomes inevitable...

Hang in there, man. 👍
I really hope there isn't a relapse.

That doesn't carry much weight coming from me—I mean, I’ve been living with schizophrenia my whole life and I'll be tethered to medication until the day I die, so take my word with a massive grain of salt.

You should probably just head over to the main board. 😛
There's a massive crowd of enthusiasts there, and honestly, you can get some decent entertainment out of reading threads like "my arm fell off, it's turning black and smells terrible, do I need an ER visit?".

Is anyone else here actually taking Lorazepam? I’ve been trying to wrap my head around what kind of pill this really is—what is the actual purpose behind it? I tried one the other day and, honestly... 🙂I felt like I was floating off the planet.

Run away from that. You're a fraud.

That’s exactly what I was thinking—because honestly, it seems just too good to be true.
