I was actually thinking about grabbing some of those small glass candle holders and maybe some little square votives to put them in, then just bringing the whole setup right to their doorstep so they don't have an excuse to forget...

We won't be using those standard sparklers, but honestly, I don't even want candles or anything else—we're just going to use a light cannon instead... so everything will stay dark, and the only thing being lit up is the cake 😉

Oh, Frank, for heaven's sake!!!!! Are you actually here??!! What is going on, is everyone else just gone... I haven't seen a soul, not even you!!!! It's been a bit quiet lately, so I wanted to check in—did you guys get everything sorted out? Is everything finalized and settled??!!

I'm really not a fan of those spray cans. We actually just ordered our cake today! 😍 Fingers crossed it looks just as good in person: 🙂

Hey there, fellow bakers,

I thought I’d share a little victory from my kitchen today.

The cake turned out incredibly well—it was a vanilla and chocolate parfait style...
so delicious..

Ladies! 😁

Please, I need some advice. Where can I track down plastic cookie containers around $0.83? A few people mentioned finding them, but they didn't specify where... which isn't particularly helpful. Feel free to send me a DM if you know.

You can actually find a bulk pack of 25 boxes, measuring 190x125x66, over at Amtrak for just $9.25!!!

Oh, wow!!! 👍 Perfect! Thanks so much! 😁

It actually turns out to be $0.37 per box, which is fantastic. Way less than I had budgeted for. Honestly, I love seeing that happen. 😁

For my friends living around Monterey and the surrounding areas—if you’re looking for plastic cookie containers, you can find them at Stanton for just $0.35 🙂
. I stumbled upon this a few days ago and ended up grabbing 50 of them today! 😉

Since we're on the subject of cookie boxes, does anyone happen to know where I can find those plain white ones with the little handles? I have this vision of wrapping a satin ribbon around them to give them a bit more flair.

Oh man, that’s awesome! Thanks so much for the heads-up. I was actually planning on hunting some down myself this week.
Funny enough, my sister was telling me last night that they have all sorts of cheap finds over at that Stanton!
She mostly kept talking about their meat selection 😂, though... she didn't mention anything about the little containers 🙄

Hey, I’m looking for a little help from you ladies—I’m based out in Seattle, but I heard through the grapevine about this woman over in Redding who makes incredible cakes for about $18 a pound. Apparently, people say her baking is absolutely top-tier and she’s willing to ship them pretty much anywhere

Has anyone here actually ordered from her or had any experience with her work?

Chloe Sanchez26 said:Seriously, at this one wedding I went to, they were serving ice cream and cake, so I just grabbed the ice cream... honestly, it was such a lifesaver in that heat.
We actually ordered a parfait cake for our own thing once—we were part of the wedding party—and the bride and groom had a parfait cake too. It was served ice-cold and was absolutely killer, almost like eating straight ice cream, just incredible.

That sounds solid then.😁I was just wondering if anyone actually eats that stuff at weddings. I haven't tried it myself, but since it’s August, it seems like a genius move.🙂I'll probably head out tomorrow to see what kind of options are available.🙂😍

That's such great info! Do you happen to know roughly what size they are? I might be heading down toward Monterey in a couple of weeks, so if I can swing it, I'll definitely try to stop by and check them out... thanks so much.. 😉
