Honestly, she’s way out of your league—you just don't have the tools, the bandwidth, or the capacity to actually be there for her, even if you wanted to. It’d probably be best to just step back and let her navigate things on her own. Sorry if that feels like a dig...
Besides, if you're looking for a real opinion, you shouldn't be hanging out in those subreddits where everyone is just competing to see who can act the most alpha.

She's dealing with COVID, schizophrenia, diabetes, edema, high blood pressure, and obesity all at once. It's a pretty heavy situation, and as I've mentioned quite a few times before, things are looking rather grim.
I read that, though I suspect you probably just got a pat on the back for it... Hopefully—and I hate using the word—she ends up in the hospital without any debate when the time comes.
Harold Anderson3 said:My paycheck is roughly $550. Between that and my mom's pension and disability, which totals about $325, we manage. You can survive on it, but that's not really the point. The quality of life is pretty poor when you're working this hard. You make a little more, but then you end up spending more too. Now that Mom is in the hospital, the doctors are finally seeing how far these illnesses have progressed. I tried to warn everyone about this, but nobody seemed to care.
So, what’s the actual game plan for your mom now? What changes, if anything?

Given the nature of my professional circles, I occasionally encounter women who would be considered absolutely 'irresistible' by most standards; however, if I find myself lacking even the slightest inclination to grab a coffee with her, she becomes completely incapable of being sexually attractive to me, regardless of how 'phenomenal' her appearance might be.
So, you aren't. It’s a shame—I think you’re really missing out on that specific experience. You know, when two people just aren't right for each other, yet they can't seem to stay away—falling back into that same loop over and over again. It’s like being stuck in a cycle you’re supposed to break, but somehow, you just can't.

I mean, we were business associates and tennis partners for a stretch, but she never saw fit to degrade our bond with such terminology, nor did I. And certainly, I wouldn't refer to my current girlfriend as merely a "partner."
But there is a prevailing trend here; people are drafting prenuptial agreements left and right, and the whole concept of romance is—quite literally and figuratively—devolving into a mere partnership rather than being rooted in love.
Of course, this pervasive trend isn't exactly "romantic," but that is precisely the topic of the day...
Have you ever actually felt a connection with a woman based purely on lust and physical gratification?
When asked "how do you perceive the person you share your life and bed with," I honestly can't find the words without feeling like a spinning top about to tip over. It’s a bit of a loaded question...
Walter Davis said:Basically, they’re saying if you call someone you love a "partner," you just don't get what real romance and true love are all about. Honestly, I'm surprised you're buying into that. 😁
Does semantics even matter at this point? I haven't the slightest clue what label to use—girlfriend, partner, spouse, life companion... At the end of the day, I'll just call her by her name.
I feel like first names are such a boring concept compared to last names. A first name is basically just a simplified version of an SSN—not nearly unique enough to be interesting enough..
I mean, you don't technically need a name, but you definitely need an identifier.
Robert Gray3 said:Haha, nice joke, but politics is the last thing on my mind. I can barely name our politicians—and even then, I’m counting on one hand—so you can probably guess how much I actually care about the whole scene.
I don't know, man. This ambition is just suffocating me. I feel like I need to be way further along by now, and I'm only 31...
Look, I can't offer any real insight since I'm totally out of my depth with that kind of stuff, but hey—now you know why people turn to booze, weed, hobbies, affairs, or whatever else helps numb that internal ache.
I got nothing
A therapist would probably be a better bet than anything listed above. ☕
