Immediately.

It seems you aren't suited for working with others, especially not for a leadership position. Perhaps you should seek out a role where you can work independently, without the need for teamwork.

I am being serious here; I am not joking.

therapy for managing/getting rid of anger
maybe try this:

If things don't go according to plan, my first instinct is usually to go off on someone. I’ve actually climbed quite high in my career, and I hold a pretty senior management position now. But what really gets under my skin—what I struggle with most—is seeing people half-ass their jobs or just totally slack off. It throws me completely out of whack, and I feel like I lose all control. There are moments where I just want to smash everything in sight, and it takes me a long time to finally settle down.
I just don't know how to find some calm.

Maybe try an interpersonal communications workshop😉
Hey everyone, does anyone know how much tickets are going for tonight for Billy Idol? It's kind of an emergency...

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if anyone could explain what an acute polymorphic psychotic disorder actually is and how it presents itself, since it was one of the four diagnoses listed for someone who recently took their own life. Thank you so much.

I've been struggling quite a bit with insomnia lately, and my doctor is hesitant to prescribe a new dose because she's worried about the risk of dependency, but I really do need to get some rest. I suppose I was wondering if there are any herbal alternatives out there, and if so, how effective they actually tend to be?

My doctor put me on Tegretol—it's a mood stabilizer.

If you still end up deciding that taking your own life is the way to go, then honestly, that's your call to make.

ps
I’d suggest you head over to the spirituality sub, there's a whole thread about suicide where you can get a feel for what people think.
if dtomas and umbra don't give you an answer, nobody else is gonna 😁

I agree, check the spirituality subreddits👍👍👍
I honestly don't think anyone can truly wrap their head around it until they're standing right in the middle of it themselves—everything else is just guesswork.

I have already mentioned that my main struggle is simply the high-pressure nature of the exam itself—you know, being a bit socially anxious can make things feel more intense than they really are. If I ever truly felt like I was posing a threat to other drivers on the road, would I even bother getting behind the wheel in the first place?
I still have a few days left before the big test, so I will let you all know how it goes 😬 (though I plan to stick to just one small glass of wine, and quite early in the evening at that).

Exactly. You should definitely wait at least two hours beforehand so you don't end up feeling shaky while you're driving.👍

Did she just pass her driving test, or did she become a public menace on the road?😂😂

Anyway, my doctor just switched me over to Zoloft. My psychiatrist is all over this because my sex life is basically non-existent right now—dead flat. She thinks this might help. Supposedly, it's great for sexual dysfunction. My boyfriend is thrilled about the prospect, but honestly, I'm just terrified of starting yet another new medication.

I’m right there with you. I immediately start hyper-focusing on every little thing my body does. That’s actually why we gave up on the Wellbutrin in the first place—I started reading through all the possible side effects.😲

Anthony Lopez8 said:I’ve taken them before, quite a while back, but I wasn't behind the wheel at the time, which is why I’m asking these questions. As I mentioned earlier, I only reach for them when things truly spiral out of control. Given the reactions I’m seeing here, I’m leaning toward skipping the dose entirely, though I can't help but wonder what that leaves me with instead. Isn't it possible that the palpitations, the tremors, and the sheer panic would actually make me a far more dangerous driver than a single pill ever could? 😢
Let me clarify one thing for those wondering: yes, I am weighing in at about 130 pounds. 😬

Just take it two hours before you head out so you're feeling steady—the medication usually hits its peak concentration about an hour after you swallow it.

I have a friend who felt pretty terrible after just 0.25—she’s quite petite, only about 105 pounds and on the shorter side.

Anthony Lopez8 said:Can anyone shed some light on how much Xanax actually impacts driving ability? I’ve been taking it for quite a while now, though strictly for exceptional circumstances. The thing is, I have my driver's exam coming up soon, and there is absolutely no way I’m going to pass if I show up as my "natural self." As far as the actual mechanics of driving go, I have no issues at all; this is purely about an irrational, overwhelming fear regarding the exam situation itself.
Is it safe to take a dose normally, or do you think it will leave me overly drowsy, dull my reflexes, or slow down my reaction time too much?

It’ll absolutely wreck you. Don't even think about taking it!!!

Edward Fisher38 said:Like I said, just relax.
Everything you're describing is actually pretty standard.
I've been on Zoloft for two years, and it’s great.
When I first started, I didn't really consider the side effects. During that first week, I was driving with a friend to a third friend's house—someone who was already getting on my nerves—and halfway there, a massive panic attack hit me. It was such a side effect. I told my friend, "Hey, you drive," and she was like, "No way." q q)))))))
I honestly thought I was dying. Heart racing, head spinning... I ended up rushing straight to the ER, and once I got into the exam room, things settled down.🙂
My condition has slipped a bit lately... probably because I missed two days, who knows. Plus, I had a momentary breakdown and started imagining attacks out of nowhere.

Because of that, they bumped my dose to 75mg.
Today is actually my second day back on the 75mg after two years... nothing crazy, except my jaw is locked up in the morning since I take it at night.
And of course, insomnia... I slept the first night, but the second night was a bust.
Oh well, it'll pass.
Progress to everyone "sick" enough to actually get treatment. Those who ignore their issues and refuse to deal with them...
By the time they finally see a doctor, there won't be much left to fix. I don't want it to be that way, but that's how it usually goes. Not my fault.🙂

Don't take Zoloft at night because it's super stimulating—I took it at 5 PM once.

Is anyone else here taking Wellbutrin?

cosmicwolf27 said:So, here’s the deal: I’m right on the edge of falling into this endless Xanax loop.🙄
I’ve been taking it for a while and everything seemed fine, until I realized that if I get too high on it... well, the crash that follows is a total downer. Just pure exhaustion, depression, and feeling like I can't even pull myself out of bed.

But honestly, whenever life just sucks in general, I can't help but try to fix it myself. So I pop some Xanax and suddenly everything feels great.🙄 Then comes the other extreme.

I’m wondering if any of you guys have dealt with this. I haven't hit rock bottom with an addiction yet, but it feels like I'm getting pretty close.

I was basically a twelve-year addict until last year, when I finally switched over to Prozac—which handles my anxiety incredibly well—and I finally managed to scale back the other stuff.

mistyheron8 said:Do you think it’s actually okay to bump up my Zoloft dose by 25 mg on my own without checking in with my psychiatrist first? I don't have an appointment scheduled for another two weeks, and while I am currently at 50 mg, I can't help but feel like a higher dose might be necessary. I’m still worrying about everything far too much—even if things are significantly better than they used to be—and there's still this lingering anxiety that occasionally hits me so hard it spirals into thoughts of suicide for a day or so. To make matters worse, I don't actually have her direct cell number, just the contact info for her receptionist. Has anyone else here ever decided to adjust their own dosage?

This would be my first time doing that—though she did mention it was an option in principle—but I actually went off my Wellbutrin without telling her... man, I don't know, I really don't think playing doctor is the smartest move.🤷

How are things going? Have you been getting any sleep at all?

Yeah, honestly, things are better now. I finally got some Xanax and it’s helping me out—thanks for checking in.😉

Jerry Vaughn8 said:I wanted to apologize in advance if this topic is a bit out of place here🙂...so, I've been taking Lexapro for just over 20 days now to help manage my anxiety, and I’ve started noticing that my hands are shaking quite a bit. I was wondering—could this maybe be a side effect from the medication?
Just to add a little context, I actually took Lexapro about a year ago and don't remember having any issues like this back then—at least, I don't think I did. I only have one cup of coffee a day and maybe up to five cigarettes at most, so I'm guessing it probably isn't caused by that. Has anyone else dealt with anything similar? Thanks so much in advance!😉😁

For me, it felt like I was constantly half-drunk. After three weeks on it, I was literally splashing water on my face just to try and clear my head—it didn't even help—so I eventually just gave up on that med altogether. Those were my side effects.

Roger Rodriguez said:I’m feeling perfectly fine even though I’ve started tapering off my Paxil 👋 👋
My doctor suggested dropping down to 10mg, but honestly, I wasn't ready to mess with my head just yet. So, for now, I've been splitting my pill every morning—cutting it in half, then cutting that half again—to land right around 15mg. I think I'll stick to this for at least another week before I finally make the jump to 10mg.
Anyway, I'll keep posting updates here, even if it feels like nobody actually cares what I'm up to 😂

good for you, babe!👍
