Tea recommendations? in Health ·
If you’re looking to clear out your ovaries, I suppose a blend of chamomile and calendula tea might help... maybe try drinking about a liter and a half to two liters of it daily.

As for clearing up acne, I'm honestly not quite sure... I have a few different tea recipes on hand, so I suppose I could look through them sometime...
However, there is one particular blend that works wonders for managing cholesterol levels... plenty of people have given it a shot and seem to have seen some real improvement... though, obviously, the tea isn't a magic fix; you really have to be mindful of your diet as well... but here is the recipe:
Using about 2-3 tablespoons of each:
Dandelion root
Dandelion leaf
Milk thistle
Fennel seeds
Chamomile
Wormwood
*Just boil everything in water for about a minute, then let it steep for 15 minutes...
I guess you would just drink this once a day for 19 days straight, and then take a break...

My brother used to swear by this specific cream for relief, I think it was called Locacorten N...

I suppose I wouldn't say I'm particularly afraid...
though, if I'm being honest, seeing those centipedes crawling over the wires gives me a bit of the creeps. It isn't that I'd scream or anything, I just find them rather revolting.🙂
My first love... in Music ·
I suppose I first got hooked on Psihomodo pop when I was about five years old... 😵 ...and, if I’m being honest, I haven't really moved on since. 😛

Though I suppose they might just be hesitating for some vague reason... maybe they aren't quite sure how to put it into words yet. 🙄

I suppose you could try to justify that, if you really wanted to. 😳

Hmm... good female vocalists... I suppose my list would include Yaya, Shirley Manson from Garbage, and someone already mentioned Tarja Turunen from Nightwish. Even Janis Joplin feels like one of a kind... thank goodness there are still more out there... 🙂
Ah... I should probably also mention Skye from Morcheeba... she has this soft, pleasant voice that gives me chills whenever I listen to her...

I suppose my personal favorite soundtrack has to be from the movie Amélie 🙂
it seems like nobody has even brought it up yet, which is a shame because it really is quite lovely 😍
though I also have a soft spot for Pulp Fiction and The Fifth Element

I suppose I'll go in order: 1. Journey - I’ve been listening to them since I was a kid... they really are geniuses in their own right... 😁
2. Jinx - even though they eventually split up, they always held a special place in my heart
3. Bambi Molesters
4. Pasi
5. GWAR is alright, I guess...

Haha... this link is actually pretty great 👍
I managed to stumble upon a few gems: "I'm not handicapped, I'm just lazy"
Then there’s this one... someone holding an inhaler with the caption: "Asthma is sexy"
And finally: "I bring nothing to the table"
😁 😁 😁 😁 😁

he has about as much to do with country music as a heavy metal band does with smooth jazz.

that seems true... though I suppose if I had said that about Taylor Swift, the reaction would be just as intense, if not more explosive, and the backlash would likely hit even harder.....
blueranger12, I just had a realization! Hypnosis! While they sleep, we should play an audio loop: COUNTRY MUSIC IS EVIL, COUNTRY MUSIC IS EVIL, COUNTRY MUSIC IS EVIL; YOU DON'T ACTUALLY LIKE COUNTRY MUSIC, BECAUSE; COUNTRY MUSIC IS EVIL!
Sending a kiss your way.
😛
I suppose this might be the only thing that actually works, because, honestly, there's no real way to convince someone that what they and their social circle listen to isn't actually good... you can't exactly tell them that the lyrics are mindless, or that the melodies are just three or four chords layered with those signature vocal trills from idols whose massive posters hang over their beds and cover their refrigerators... it seems pretty obvious to me that country music is musically unappealing, but I suppose I'm all for any method used to deal with the people who obsess over it...
I actually got hit in the head with a plastic water bottle recently just for mentioning that Tim McGraw sucks. ... I really don't need that kind of drama... 🙄
blueranger12 said:It’s like a riddle; I haven't quite managed to find the right formula to provide someone with a solid, fundamental proof that country music is inherently evil. Has anyone else stumbled upon one?

Personally, whenever I hear the term "country fans," I tend to picture some meathead in a tight t-shirt, wearing an obnoxious oversized belt and pulling his jeans up way too high, dancing away at some tacky dive bar in the middle of nowhere to whatever pop ballad is playing on the jukebox...
🙂
Well, how does one go about proving country music is bad? I suppose I always tell people that you are essentially what you listen to—that was a sentiment held by the ancient Greeks, and they weren't exactly known for being foolish...
Though, perhaps it isn't even worth worrying about what everyone else chooses to listen to anymore?
It just occurred to me... why should I really care? If they're enjoying it, I guess that's fine too... 😎
blueranger12 said:Man, how do you even talk to those snobs who look down on "regular" people just listening to MTV? Like, what do you even say to them? They probably haven't even heard of the basics, like Pixies or Sonic Youth. To them, the stuff we listen to is basically an entirely different universe they don't even know exists. How am I supposed to answer when they ask, "So, what do you listen to?"

I suppose that’s really the best part of being a snob... 😁 maybe I just give them this condescending little smirk and suggest there's a whole world of music they've simply never encountered... 😁 haha... though, honestly, I don't mind sharing my CDs; I'm not exactly known for being stingy... 😉 😛
I suppose the moderators here certainly have their hands full 😁
To put it simply: I don't think so.

I suppose I just posted something similar on a different thread a moment ago. It seems people really do gravitate toward that folk-pop style—mostly those tracks coming out of the South or even just our own local versions of Taylor Swift... you know, the kind of stuff that plays constantly at rural dive bars and gets all the high schoolers and college kids dancing. I honestly can't wrap my head around what anyone finds catchy or meaningful about that genre... it’s just one of those things about life in America, I guess... 😢 👎
