Look, at first, I wasn't trying to push myself into the spotlight, so I just hung out somewhere in the middle of the pack. But once I realized you really have to lean into the experience to actually feel it, I moved closer. After that, he just stopped talking. 😢 Or maybe I was just being more of a handful than he was. 😳

Man, last night was incredible. FERC and Mandelbrot were absolutely killing it. 🙂 😍 🙂It’s been a long time since a concert actually lifted my spirits like that—between the music, the raw energy, and the sheer stage presence... 😍And that bassist from Mandelbrot? Unbelievable. I honestly can't wrap my head around how they pulled off all those sounds without using a single pedal or effect. 🙏 🙏As for the other band, they were just okay. I actually stepped outside for some air while they were playing, though I have to admit, the Lessened Dimes weren't half bad if you're into that kind of sound.. 🙂

Honestly, same here. Driven by a total lack of clue what any word in this thread title actually meant, I downloaded that industrial remix, gave it a listen from 😱, tried it again with 😱 😱, and promptly deleted it before it could ruin my Spotify queue.. 😬
It’s just not my cup of tea..

I was in an absolutely foul mood thanks to some incredibly stupid nonsense 😢 so I ended up just catching everything from a distance; I simply didn't have the energy to push my way into the crowd. Personally, I prefer Seven even more in that last lineup they had at the embankment. Peach Pit remains one of my all-time favorite American indie bands, but I just can't get into the Makazoruk vocals, even if the music itself isn't half bad..

Good grief, where did this slip away to? Please tell me it isn't behind Taylor Swift...

After what I overheard on the highway earlier, I have to admit my eyes are strictly on Peach Pit for the new releases, then Seven. I completely missed the Makazoruke segment, so I’m going into this totally open-minded... 😁

It could be a decent spread tonight—with all this heavy mic setup and the metalheads in attendance, I’m just crossing my fingers for some smoked tofu or maybe even some high-end pastries.. 😍

Yeah, I heard... guess you have to learn to pull yourself up by your bootstraps when nobody else is stepping in to lend a hand. 🙂

I still have a few people I need to play it quiet with, so hopefully I’ll make it there around 8:00. You can never really count on the local transit schedule—it’s always a gamble. It might even kick off earlier than expected, and if we aren't careful, those guys might just polish off all the food before we even show up. 🙂

I fully intend to be the ultimate grandma.

If you’re looking to get custom patches and other gear made, honestly, don't even bother trying to find someone to do it for you in a place like Chicago. You won't have any luck. My only real advice? Just take the reins and start doing it yourself. As for badges, you can pretty much whip those up on your own without much trouble. I'm not entirely sure what the current market rates are for professional manufacturing, but if you want, I can look into it and get back to you.

At the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, we managed to snag a Special Recognition ZlYDNI along with the Audience Award. How exactly did he manage to make it into the competition? 😕

Regarding the awards... I’ve sat through most of the films this year. I can wrap my head around that British filmmaker taking home the top prize—that felt somewhat expected. But why on earth was Student Film Entertainment picked as the best student entry? It isn't exactly a disaster, but let's be honest: there were at least a dozen superior films in that lineup if you look at them chronologically. 🙂 Click-clack. Like being badgered by a relentless auditor. A precise, rhythmic number. Animals in love. 😍 The building stands there, silent and heavy. It’s all about those small, deep love stories—the kind that don't make headlines but settle in your bones like a winter chill. Think of a quiet pond, perfectly still until a stone breaks the surface. That’s how it feels. Act 1, Scene 2. A chaotic blur of runaway hula hoops and grandmothers flipping pancakes. Life is rarely a straight line; it’s usually just a series of strange, domestic collisions.

I had much higher expectations for Mulloy's film. While the core concept behind the piece is solid, the actual execution felt a bit shaky. It's a shame, really.

I had a wonderful time, though I have to say, the audience was incredibly grating. It felt like the louder the "concert" became, the more they thought it was their cue to start chatting over everything. 😠 🙂
In my opinion, the sound levels were all wrong; the violin needed much more presence and the backing vocals should have been boosted significantly. Specifically during Majda’s part: ...who gave you to me...—it was absolutely stunning. 😍 "Tonight we are alone" is a definitive standout alongside "The Storm," and honestly, Orlan Tus could probably start drinking after a set like that. 😬

I’m satisfied overall, and I just hope we don't have to wait another entire year for the next show. 😉
