Starting a small business in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
So, I want to launch an online store—basically e-commerce—but do I actually need a formal business degree to pull this off, or can I just wing it with whatever college major I have? It’s not like you specifically need an economics degree, right?
Does anyone know where to find the updated list of qualifying activities? I've been searching, but all I keep finding is some outdated registry from the mid-90s. From what I gather, things were overhauled a few years back.

On November 15th, my period was supposed to arrive, but since nothing happened, I naturally began to suspect I might be pregnant; I was experiencing certain symptoms, so I decided to take two different tests, both of which came back negative. I waited, and then my period finally arrived on the 24th, though the cramping has been significantly more intense than what I usually endure, and for the past two days, the flow has seemed unusually dark and quite light... so, I am wondering, is there any actual possibility that I could be pregnant despite having this bleeding?

Thank you.🙂

Look, you aren't pregnant. The tests were negative, you got your period—it just isn't happening.😕
You're wishing for it too hard. Come back down to earth and get real. Even high-sensitivity tests react to tiny amounts of hCG, usually within two weeks of conception (I personally see a positive about 10 days after). You can't have a negative test, get your period, and still be pregnant. There's zero chance.
Moved this here..

Anyway, I don't get it—who goes to the OB-GYN first and *then* takes a test?
Wait, take the test, then go see the doctor—that seems like the more logical order of operations, doesn't it?🤷
On day 12, I saw this incredibly faint, barely-there second line. Honestly, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me—but every time I looked back, there it was 😁. By day two, it had darkened just a tiny bit, though still super pale. Then by day three, it was a little clearer, and after a few more days, it finally matched the test line... now the baby is sleeping right next to me 😍😉
Good luck 👍
Look, nobody here has a crystal ball to tell you whether you're pregnant or not. It’s honestly a bit much that you didn't catch my warning in the last post—I mentioned that questions like yours belong in other threads or over at the "wannabe" boards. This specific thread is strictly for women who are already certain they're pregnant and want to discuss early symptoms—it's meant to be a resource for them to compare notes. For anything else, just go buy a test; nobody is psychic... or as some people say, spit on your keyboard and let us see if you're expecting.🤣
Moving this post to the "Buy a Test" thread.
Honestly, I find threads like this completely pointless—just a massive waste of time. There’s nothing meaningful about them.
Wish we were all some kind of psychic old ladies—maybe then we wouldn't have to wait for a test to know if someone’s actually pregnant.🙄
Look, redpilot37, I don’t really get what you were hoping to gain from this thread. Someone might tell you "yes," someone else might say "no"—it’s all just endless noise at this point. It's honestly pointless. Even if your period is late, you aren't any closer to an answer just by talking about it. The only actual, reliable ways to know if you're pregnant are taking a test or getting a blood draw for beta hCG. Everything else is just guesswork and superstition. "Oh, my right breast is aching, I must be pregnant..." please. It reminds me of those old wives' tales people used to spout back in the day—completely useless.😁
Female vs. male OB-GYNs: Any preferences? in Women's Health ·
I had my doubts before, but after my appointment with Ivaniševićka today, I’m officially convinced—female gynecologists are just built different. Honestly, it's better to just side with them; they have that maternal touch where they actually take the time to talk and explain things. When you stumble upon one who is also a top-tier specialist, it feels like hitting the jackpot on a Vegas slot machine.😁 Plus, my Medicare-covered OB-GYN is fantastic...
I don't know, I think it mostly comes down to whether you just click with someone or not. For instance, Dr. Kos is an absolute expert, but he never really clicked with me.🤷
goldenharbor2 said:So, back in mid-March—right when I should’ve been ovulating—I was traveling and eating pretty terribly. My metabolism is usually super fast, but I actually went five days without even a bowel movement, which was rough. On top of that, I had this awful inflammation down there for a week; everything was swollen, sore, stinging... honestly, just painful. Do you think that could have messed with my ovulation? Because I might be heading out on another trip at the end of March—this time on a cruise ship... what do you guys think?

Funny enough, I actually ended up conceiving while dealing with those exact same conditions. So, regarding your theory about travel, bad food, or an infection causing a missed ovulation... honestly, it might even work the other way and help you get pregnant.😉
Anonymous said:We’re leading the pack! 👍 Honestly, before I actually tried to conceive, I used to think the whole process sounded way too fast. You know the drill: you have sex, you end up pregnant, you spend nine months walking around with a massive bump, and then—boom—you give birth. It always seemed like such a whirlwind. 😂 Oh man, seriously. Before I started scrolling through these forums, I had absolutely no clue just how many complications there actually are. It’s wild. Like, a few months ago, this girl told me she got pregnant "by accident" because she "accidentally" forgot to take her birth control for five days straight. Yeah, right. 😂 Give me a break—no way in hell.

Man, this line of reasoning hits way too close to home. Everyone tried to talk me out of it—telling me I was being unrealistic—but to me, the math was simple. No protection, he finishes inside, I get pregnant. It’s basic biology, right? Honestly, that’s exactly what I spent my whole life worrying about. And sure enough, once it happened, there was no undoing it. Though, I will say, the part where you’re supposed to spend nine months walking around with a bump? That didn't exactly go according to plan for me.😁 We cut it short this time—but next time, we’re sticking to the plan, and then I'll finally have the kid. Crystal clear.👍 😁
Cystoscopy: What to expect? in Women's Health ·
I had a cystoscopy done when I was just a kid because of bedwetting and an E. coli infection in my urine. Honestly, I don't even remember it being that painful—and that's without any anesthesia. It’s definitely uncomfortable, sure, but it’s hardly some traumatic ordeal.
Spotting: What's your experience? in Women's Health ·
I first noticed spotting after a massive shock—lost a close family member and ended up in a deep depression, lost a ton of weight too. Since then, one of these three things—if not all three—has triggered it. Now, I get spotting right before my period every single month; it starts the day before, and since it doesn't last long, I just count that as the start of my cycle. It’s usually just one day tops.
And honestly, until recently, I had no clue there was actually a name for this. Apparently, it’s tied to hormonal imbalances triggered by something specific—in my case, intense emotional stress.
It’s nothing major, though. You should definitely check in with your OB-GYN about it, but I don't think there's any reason to panic.😉

My last period was on February 25th, so I’m expecting my next one around March 25th. But get this—since March 10th, I’ve been dealing with these crazy pelvic pains and cramps that feel exactly like period cramps. At first, I just figured it was ovulation, but since when does that last this long??? I took a pregnancy test on March 17th and it showed one solid line, but there was this other line that was super faint—like, barely even there. Are those second lines always supposed to be that hard to see? I honestly didn't pay much attention at first. I know it's way too early to say for sure if I'm actually pregnant, but what do you guys think? Also, which brands do you all swear by?
thanks!

You're giving me flashbacks to when I saw my second line... seriously, if you aren't pregnant, you won't see a second line at all. So... 😍
And Sunny is right—there's already a thread about this topic.
Why weren't you drinking that same Triquetra before you got pregnant... oh my God, people are crazy🙄🙄🙄
Morgan Hall7 said:So, I took a Clearblue yesterday afternoon and then a Victoria's Secret test this morning. After just a few minutes, both showed a vertical line that was super faint (I'm on day 25 and 26 of my cycle). On the Victoria's Secret one from this morning, it might be a tiny bit easier to see... Honestly, with yesterday's test, I thought I was just seeing things because of how bright it seemed🙂 but I can still see it this morning. I'll try testing again on Monday, but I was wondering if seeing that vertical line actually means pregnancy? Like, if I weren't pregnant, that second line shouldn't show up at all, right?

If you ask me, congrats—you're pregnant!!!!😉
Morgan Hall7 said:So, this girl is asking about the bolded part—does anyone know the answer? If that second line is barely, barely visible, does that count as pregnant? (She's had two tests) 🙄

Usually, that second line is barely visible—like, much lighter than the first one—when you're dealing with an early pregnancy. In my case, I had one pale pink line and one bright pink line. If you're still feeling unsure, just grab a Clearblue test. It’s definitely more expensive, but it might give you some peace of mind. $33 If memory serves me right—

Mark Kelly4 said:Ksenia had an amazing one—some kind of ice cream cake!

Yeah, sure... except it wasn't actually ice cream. It was that famous M&M's parfait they make—so dense it almost feels like ice cream. I had one just like it once, and honestly, I can't say enough good things about it; it's top-tier stuff. Just look at the aftermath at Ksena's place—nobody even thought twice about grabbing a slice, and I know I wouldn't if I had to choose again...
By the way, the chocolate mousse in those M&M's is absolute perfection...
Those pre-marital counseling classes are usually pretty repetitive—you rarely hear anything you haven't already heard a thousand times. But one of the doctors there actually cleared up a mystery for me. My sister managed to get pregnant right during her period—there was zero chance it happened any other way—and I honestly couldn't wrap my head around how that works. Apparently, the doctor explained that if you have irregular cycles—say, jumping between 28 and 32 days—your ovulation window can shift significantly, sometimes landing right around or even during your period. Since sperm can hang around for up to 72 hours, it’s more than enough time to catch those fertile days if the timing lines up.
It’s wild, really. You have some women who try to time everything perfectly for their fertile window and still come up empty. I guess it all just comes down to luck and timing.

This just proves they actually have internet in the Big Brother house... I knew they weren't totally cut off from civilization.😬
Sorry, total off-topic tangent—couldn't help myself.🤣
driftingviper13 said:My mom used to tell me that back when she first found out she was pregnant, her breasts didn't get all swollen and tender during that month like they usually did before her period... they felt softer, more supple, and then only started feeling heavy much later on... I'm wondering if anyone here knows anything about that, because mine haven't felt swollen at all, even though they usually swell up like balloons right after ovulation... and honestly, I am just beyond exhausted... I feel like I could sleep for an entire week straight...😕

My first—and probably only—real symptom was some pretty intense breast tenderness. They got hard and painful out of nowhere. I just realized online that a slightly elevated temperature is actually a thing during pregnancy—basically staying at that post-ovulation level—so I guess I can count that as another "hidden" sign. My temp was up for a while, nothing crazy, but enough that I actually thought I was coming down with a flu or something. Turns out, nope.😍
driftingseal3 Congrats on the gains... nice. 👍

Do you guys actually double-check what goes into these cakes? Like, if there’s someone with an allergy in the room, do you give them a heads-up about the ingredients before they dig in?
😬

We didn't have any allergy issues, but our vegetarians ended up getting baked savory pastries instead of cake.👍I didn't realize it was part of the plan—I just mentioned we had 3 or 4 vegetarians so they could prep something special. They had fish or maybe fried cheese and mushrooms for their main course, and for appetizers, they just had cheese. Then, when it came time for dessert, the girls told me they got these amazing warm savory turnovers instead of cake. So, yeah...
