I’m not buying this answer either, trust me.☕

How am I even supposed to explain the examples these girls are bringing up? I know they're legit...
Alright, let’s hear it from you experts... how exactly are you gonna explain this whole paradoxical mess from Indigo?
Because—this actually happens in the real world, so don't go hiding behind your textbook theories now.
I'm listening...🙂

In the third part, wasn't it that little guy singing? You know, Pippin? The one who isn't exactly the brightest bulb in the box... right?!

I’m feeling pretty torn about this whole thing.

To me, the tea that 😉Vera Drake
was pushing so hard felt kind of mid... honestly.😕 I can't shake that vibe.

Honestly, all you really need is a good cup of tea.

Right?

You’re right, the movie just kind of "vibes" through it😁 for totally understandable reasons, but I was actually thinking about the soundtrack, the actual music on the CD😉

Anyway, I totally blanked on mentioning The Terminator—bad move on my part to leave it out. That flick is way more than just some techno-robot apocalypse; they nailed the atmosphere perfectly... I love it (and Linda Hamilton, too).🙂

Since we're all talking about books that inspired sci-fi movies, I remember reading this short novel called The Fly way back when (at the local Barnes & Noble😕), and honestly? It’s not just better than the movie, it’s incomparable. A movie is just a movie; you can't really kill it by saying it stands on its own.😉

So how did the concentration camp survivors actually make it through? I mean, weren't they stuck eating the exact same thing every single day too?
I bet it's not quite the same feeling as eating nothing but bread or chocolate every damn day...

Look, rustymoose54, you clearly have the knowledge, but you just don't know how to shape it into something actually useful for people instead of just feeding textbooks.
Honestly, reading your posts, I can never tell if you're lecturing me on enzymes or if you're just flooring it in a Ferrari on the interstate.
A bunch of random parts doesn't make a whole machine. Everything needs synergy—especially knowledge, right?
But hey, I truly believe one day you'll step down from those "expert" high horses and turn bright red like an apple once you realize the power of a real, raw conversation... one where you actually open up to experience and facts.

😉 🙂

And seriously, why are you so embarrassed by your profession? Not everyone can be a doctor!🙂

We saw this exact thing happen in the movie Seven, and apparently, it actually works...
The guy was also strapped to the bed, totally wasted away with muscle atrophy, basically hovering between life and death. But honestly, I think he’d probably kick the bucket from pressure sores way before that would finish him off...

Wait, so this American guy actually ate nothing but McDonald's for a whole month and then filmed it?!

I tried eating nothing but chocolate for an entire day once, and man... I felt so lightheaded after that stupid experiment. Pretty sure I even lost a little weight too.🙄

It’s not just about the calories, though. It’s the actual nutrition. Getting the right mix of ingredients is what keeps your metabolism running smooth. You could eat 50 cookies a day and still end up malnourished and totally wrecked.

Also, why are you calling this a "thought experiment"? It’s just some hypothetical "experiment" that has zero to do with cognitive science...
😕

Seriously though, you guys have ☕ such a massive chocolate obsession that you're actually out here dreaming up chocolate-themed suicides.

They’re out there singing their hearts out, just belt it out... while you’re just sitting there acting like you don't care, totally missing the vibe!😁

There’s this grave at Arlington National Cemetery for some young guy, and it has those lines from Blade Runner carved right into it..

Reminds me of:

'All those tears,
are not the rain..'

..wait, didn't I hear that music from Lord ??? somewhere else?

😁 👍

So, I guess we could talk about how "refined" this whole thing is, right?😉

If you ask me, this debate won't actually wrap up until those space colonists finally make it back home from their trip... if you catch my drift.😁

Look, instead of all that PhD-level rambling, can we just get a straight answer for once? Is it actually better to go for brown rice, whole grain pasta, or those whole grain cereals—you know, I've heard the drill... or does the color really not matter at all, considering it feels like even God has no clue what's considered healthy anymore after reading this thread?!🙄

The white death: white sugar, white flour, white salt, white fat... what else belongs on that list?🤔
And how exactly are you planning to give a remake any soul?

'Non bis in idem'... sounds fancy when you say it in Latina, right?🙂

But seriously, who could possibly be powerful enough—who’s got the guts—to recreate that raw charisma of the kid running around with a chainsaw? Anyone? I'll wait...😁

Even if there *is* a "better" version out there—which, let's face it, might happen—it’s probably just some other movie made by "new kids for new kids."

Honestly though, the whole word 'remake' just gives me the creeps...

Blade Runner is my absolute god, my cinematic altar🙏. I’m basically a fanatic about it—too much of a purist, really. I don't even dare pull it off the shelf sometimes because I don't want to mess with the vibe... I just close my eyes and imagine that rain falling over fading memories... ("I've seen things you people wouldn't believe... attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion, C-beams glittering in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate... all those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain...") — if I remember that right...

Alien is "second to none." Seriously. Another one for the altar.🙏

2001: A Space Odyssey is pure, distilled art. It’s eternal, untouchable, superior... but also cold, you know? It demands respect.

Planet of the Apes—one of the best scripts ever written, probably has the best ending in cinema history. Such a heavy, bitter, slightly sarcastic message. And Charlton Heston? Total legend.👍

God, I just love those first two movies I mentioned.🙂

Honestly, I think Hero is better... it’s way more layered and fleshed out. It actually has what this movie was missing—a point.

And if we're talking about the most genius thing I've seen lately—not just from the yellow filmmaker😉 but compared to the entire global film industry—it’s Oldboy. I just had to mention that avant-garde masterpiece, it's easily the best thing I've watched so far🙏 (sorry for going off-topic), there's nothing like it because it was the FIRST one to ever do it like that.👍

It's an American production, by the way.😉 ☕

I basically live on fruits, veggies, and whole grains, plus I stack up on vitamin and mineral supplements... but honestly? With how fast life moves these days, I feel like I’m losing way more than I can actually replace daily.
And that old saying about an apple a day? Feels pretty close to the truth lately. Most of the produce we grab at the grocery store now is just a hollow shell of what it used to be—there’s barely any nutrients left in it.
Same goes for the kids; I make sure they get their kid-specific multivitamins with iron.

From what I can tell, TwinLab is the heavy hitter right now, followed by Life and NaturaWealth. They seem to hit those high RDA percentages, but I really think people need to educate themselves more. We should actually know which specific vitamins or minerals we need and what the right doses are... maybe even run some actual tests (bone density scans, whatever...) instead of just guessing and taking everything blindly.

If someone drops a link to a legit article, I’ll give it a read once these chat rooms die down a bit.
