boldeagle3, why does it bother you if it isn't HER specific experience? It belongs to someone, for sure, and it’ll definitely help someone else out by reading these painful—and believe me—true sentences.
😢these stories about endless vicious cycles... they're just too damn sad for me...
Can anyone honestly claim they've NEVER been stuck in a loop like this? Like, can you truly say you haven't felt completely alone in the world, while life just rages on all around you? Normal people, totally swallowed up by their daily grind, completely blind to the screams of someone desperate and their silent pleas for help??!!
Ugh, I just couldn't get into that movie yesterday. I'm sure it’s lovely, beautiful, heartwarming, blah blah blah... but honestly? I just needed something intense. Like, give me some Black Stone to really sink my teeth into!😁 😉 😎
I guess I'll just save it for Sunday afternoon...😉
I'm picking up 'Hollywood' and 'Total Film.' The first one is actually legit—super solid info for any real cinephile out there... whereas the second is basically just pure mockery, perfect if you just want to laugh at some nonsense.
Man, I’m dealing with all that plus my period, so just imagine feeling like an elephant decided to sit right on your chest.😢 🙄 Then you gotta factor in waking up at the crack of dawn to deal with two incredibly stubborn toddlers😠 😁 , and the snow outside is thicker than this coffee I’m chugging just to feel alive... meanwhile, I'm sitting here joking around with the guys over coffee like everything's fine, so nobody even pities me😢 😕 when I honestly just want to be babied a little bit.... What can I do? It is what it is..
Just get home, wrap yourself in a blanket, make some super strong lemon tea and grab some cookies. What else is there?!
Jeffrey Edwards5 : I saw that documentary too—you know, that Jackass episode where they do the colonic irrigation and everything just comes spraying out of the tube.😁
Seriously, loves watching that garbage on TV, then turns around on the last page acting all shocked... like, "Oh my god, I've never even heard of that in my life!" What a joke.
Hey, hey, 🙂 someone please tell me—how does Jacobs actually stack up against Nestlé's cappuccino?
By the way, fruit is definitely best in the morning on an empty stomach... better vitamin absorption and all that. I'm totally not a fan of those massive breakfasts. I usually just use that time before lunch to detox a bit... lots of water, maybe some fruit...
I’m up at 6:00 AM every single morning and honestly? I can barely wait to jump out of bed. Sleeping is just... boring. Plus, my to-do list is already staring me down. If I linger under the covers for an extra few minutes, it’s strictly because I need the mental space to figure out my outfit for the day. 😉 Eating isn't even on my radar. I don't feel the need for food until like 10 or 11... it's like I've got some kind of cosmic engine running inside me or something. Just pure energy. 😉 Obviously, I still drink coffee to "wake up," though. Gotta have one vice, right? 🙂
Oh, please. We're talking about 1996 AD😉 , back when everyone in '66 was still going full throttle! I mean, I went hunting for the thread under T, S, and M, but came up totally empty... and even if it did exist, it wouldn't be that hard to just merge them, right?😉
The movie carries this heavy scent of old-fashioned soap our great-grandmothers used to use, maybe a little cracked down the middle from the humidity...
(A little synesthesia never hurt anyone, right?😉 )
Anyway, I just can't wrap my head around those parents, it was honestly heartbreaking..😢 Trading honor for a bit of peace...it happens too often
Huh, and here I was thinking my guy had finally left my side...🤔
😁
I was hooked from the very first scene—that wedding where you see all those raw, unpolished, totally real faces. Even the girls themselves feel so retro, so old-school, and just incredibly convincing. It’s pretty obvious how much the director is critiquing that whole hyper-conservative, brutal system, even if he doesn't go overboard by picking on specific characters or dragging us through endless misery.
Honestly, you wouldn't believe it if you didn't know that the last one of those "cleansing" institutions in Ireland didn't even close down until 1966...
I just can't get into this movie.😁 Such a waste of a cult classic...
I mean, I'm assuming it's based on a true story, since Che Guevara got sick as a dog after taking a dip in the water because of some shot-up duck. In most other movies, he probably would've just dried out and eaten the damn duck.🙄 And let's be real, a regular handgun wouldn't have taken down that duck. Only real life is this weird...😁
Richard Jones2 said:It really just depends on what you're dealing with. Every psychiatrist is basically a specialist in their own way—some focus on specific issues because they either find them more interesting or they just see way more patients with those exact problems, forcing them to become experts. You'll have one doctor who lives and breathes addiction and alcoholism, another who's all about phobias and anxiety, and then someone else totally focused on things like schizophrenia. If you want any kind of recommendation, you’ve gotta specify what's going on. And even then, there's no guarantee they won't be a total mismatch for you personally. It's super subjective. Just like how you might love certain people while everyone else can't stand them...
Exactly. What's the point of a referral or a bunch of sessions if you can't actually build that sense of trust and connection with the doctor? Though, obviously, you don't want to get so attached that you can't function without them. The strength comes from you... they're just there to help you find it.
We're basically melting at work. Honestly, we’ve all been walking around in short sleeves lately, and I can't wait for Casual Friday to roll around😁. Man, there are some old-timers here who act like it's freezing even when it hits 105 degrees outside.🙄 Gotta go get my head right before I start losing it on someone by lunchtime. 👋
