Alright, folks. Larry Walker24, we have a deal. Let me know when it actually goes down. And since you're clearly in the mood to mess around, why don't you do us all a favor and snap a screenshot of every single extension you've got running in Google Chrome?
The same goes for you, George Cook31—your input could be just as useful here.
As for me, I’m going back to trying to outmaneuver the local tech support. It feels like they're much easier to trip up than the higher-ups. 🙂
Give me a break! You’re telling me it logs you out just because of a checkbox? Come on, give me some actual details here. Which browser are you running? Are you using an extension to clear your cookies? What about your antivirus or firewall? I need the full picture! 😁
No, I'm being serious. Saying "it logs me out" isn't nearly enough information to even begin looking into this, let alone fixing it. Plenty of us aren't getting kicked out, so this clearly isn't a universal issue. It has to be something specific to your setup.
For heaven's sake, just click that checkbox! I honestly don't even know how to respond to you. I got the answer in the very first sentence the moment I escalated that question to a higher level. There you have it.
Look, you can't exactly pull this off on your own. Just tell me what kind of signature you're looking for, and I'll handle the coloring and resizing for you.
offtopic: Why shouldn't we? Just because a thread hasn't seen any action lately doesn't mean it's lost its relevance. Of course, that really comes down to the specific subforum—or more accurately, how much leeway the individual moderators give you. Personally, I don't see the harm in bumping an old thread as long as the new post actually stays on topic. I'd much rather see that than someone cluttering things up by starting a duplicate thread.
On behalf of almost all the long-time regulars in the off-topic thread, I’d like to file a formal complaint regarding this request to change the username from Crow to Nathan Murphy. Honestly—on the specific part of the site where he spends most of his time and posts (ref: football-thread: off-topic)—absolutely nobody calls him Nathan Murphy, nor do they want to. We just know him as Crow—though for some of his closer friends here, he’s basically become Vran—and we’d really prefer it stays that way. I guess I don't quite understand why our colleague decided on such a drastic move, especially since it seems there isn't much reason for it. So, representing nearly all the veterans of the off-topic section, I'm submitting this complaint and I hope you'll take it into consideration.
So far, we haven't seen any instances where someone actually had their email or password changed within the forum database. God forbid that ever happens—if you find yourself locked out of your own profile and unable to trigger a password reset, just create a clone account and reach out via a direct message or hit us up on the help desk. We’ll run a quick verification check and get your original profile restored. It shouldn't be an issue. We have dealt with people before who haven't logged in for ages, lost access to their registered email, or simply forgot their credentials... those situations get resolved.
However, it's clear the hackers aren't interested in hijacking accounts; they're strictly after spamming. Why they bother doing it is beyond me. I suppose they just want to push our buttons.

LMAO. There’s always one guy leading the charge, running ahead of the pack while waving a flag like he owns the damn place. 😁
George Cook31 said:I’m honestly curious about what actually drives these forum hackers. Is their goal to snoop through someone's private DMs? Maybe.
But posting those ridiculous links? It’s like they haven't realized that absolutely nobody is clicking on them. I actually tried to click one once, and the website was so bizarrely designed that even if I had wanted to give them money, I wouldn't have known how to navigate the checkout. 🤣
Look, if someone were truly obsessed with reading private messages, they would target specific people who actually interest them. That way, they wouldn't draw any unnecessary attention to themselves. And nobody would ever even realize they’d been hacked, especially without those insane messages left in their signature.

No matter how many times I hit login, it won't let me in. I have to click somewhere else on the page first before the button actually works. I'm not sure if it's related to what we were discussing earlier, but it feels like it could be.
Just change your password and double-check the inbox of the email address you used for the reset.
