Remembering Ayrton Senna in Formula 1 ·
De Villota passed away about a year and a few months after that testing accident.
It’s just two incredibly bizarre and tragic accidents involving Marussia race cars.
I already got my refund through Ticketmaster for that concert that just got canceled, even though it wasn't supposed to happen until June.
I honestly don't think the delay in getting your money back is on Ticketmaster's end; it’s probably more likely an issue with the actual organizers.
If I were you, I'd just reach out to the bank you used for the payment and try to request a chargeback or a refund directly through them.

People said the exact same thing about Max, though. He just took his shot and ran with it.
Anthony Baker84 said:What on earth is this "wire mesh with nails" nonsense he's talking about regarding those weirdly shaped aero parts?

It's an aero rake. They use them all the time during testing, pretty much just like they use that specific paint job.
graniteharbor502 said:I was responding to the specific idea that a wet race completely negates any technical advantages a car might have, allowing the drivers' raw talent to truly shine through.
But if we look back at when the track in Turkey was wet, one could argue that Lewis didn't exactly step into the spotlight in that way...

but Valtteri Bottas was absolutely killing it. 😁
Jacob Bennett34 said:Just wondering... could Lewis Hamilton just swap over to Valtteri Bottas's engine?

Nah, he can't.
mellowtiger83 said:What’s the deal with the tickets? I mean, some people actually paid good money just to watch the race, kind of like a total clown move.

He's the official photographer, so he didn't need a ticket. 😉
shoutout from your boy Goofy:

[29. 08. 15:54] Goofy: Just spent nearly four hours out in this downpour and I am absolutely soaked. Even my umbrella is basically just a sieve at this point.
🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️
[29. 08. 16:38] Goofy: Someone tell those clowns running the forum that I don't have the site loaded on my phone.
My phone is pretty much just a glorified paperweight right now.
[29. 08. 16:45] Goofy: Honestly, I might just file for disability with the FIA because this lower back pain, sciatica, and general joint aches are getting ridiculous.
I'm feeling like Jeremiah over here.
[29. 08. 16:54] Goofy: I've got a hunch the FIA already decided there won't be a race, but they're probably just stalling so the fans don't lose their minds immediately.
At this rate, the only thing starting before 5:30 is my afternoon nap.
The drivers are all stuck in the pits and it doesn't look like anyone's actually driving anything.

While it keeps pouring, I think I'll just catch some shut-eye from 3:30 to 5:30.
graniteharbor502 said:Perez just had the bad luck of coming in a second and a half behind Hamilton on that final lap. It's not like Hamilton was blocking him.

Yeah, it was legit—his official Facebook page. My internet has been acting up, so I'm only just finding the quote now:
We had the pace to fight for a much better result. We chose the wrong strategy. At first I thought that Hamilton had blocked me, but it wasn’t that way, he had every right to do it. We were wrong, but we will be back tomorrow
silverviper44 said:Shouldn't this influencer be getting slapped with some kind of penalty for this?

Somewhere I saw a clip where Sergio Perez basically backtracked and stopped blaming Lewis Hamilton for that bad lap.
I have no clue where, probably just some random post on Facebook.

So, I guess the fastest this season has been was 1.88?

The record is actually 1.82, back in 2019 when Max was at Brazil.
Those new rules meant to slow things down should be kicking in after Spa. 🤦
What a disaster. First, they’re stuck in Q3 on softs, and then they’re just sitting there waiting behind Mercedes-Benz. I guess I was being way too optimistic in my PM.

So, you're bringing up Indianapolis now. Honestly, most of us didn't really wrap our heads around what happened there at the time. I guess maybe it’s because:
You’re really out here twisting definitions around like you just spun out on a hairpin turn. Honestly, you're just making stuff up at this point.
So, you’re basically trying to claim that Prost was actually ahead of Senna before they even took off at Indianapolis? I mean, I guess if that's how you want to see it, but it sounds a bit like a stretch to me.
Come on, Professor, give us some more!

cosmiccyclist8 said:In two out of those three races, he was basically just throwing everything at the wall in some desperate, frantic chase to catch Michael Schumacher—and honestly, if things hadn't ended so tragically in Imola, why do you think there would have been any real drama between those two? 🤷
Every empire eventually falls—it's just how things work. Makes you wonder if Ayrton Senna was already on a downward trajectory himself, maybe just tossing all his chips to an angel and calling it a day. Honestly, given how things were going, I wouldn't have been shocked if he’d spent that whole season finishing behind Hill. Speaking of which—looking back at '94—Hill wasn't exactly fighting the car so much as he was just trying to survive the sheer weight of it.

I mean, Mika is the one who knocked him out of the race, yet you're calling it a spin caused by some desperate chase? 🙏
bluepuma9 said:Yeah, I don't get the Giovinazzi thing either. It's hard to argue Ferrari doesn't have any real young prospects left, because he definitely hasn't proven himself yet. 🤷
I'm not even sure if Mick Schumacher made the right call jumping into Haas. His stock might just tank after a season or two there, regardless of how much talent he has. If I were him, I’d probably stick around for one more year in F2.

Well, then he definitely shouldn't have been crowned champion. ☕

Man, what a spot. Seriously great view from those stands!
There's no walking until the pit walk starts!
Richard Ross11 said:Maybe I'll head out to Austin this year...
Though I've actually been there twice already...

Come on, just go to Mexico instead—you haven't been there yet!
Jerry Moore61 said:I'm heading to the Canadian Grand Prix this year. I'll try to snap some photos if I can.

Nice one!
Last year it was Richard Ross11, this year it's you... not bad at all. Maybe think about doing a travelogue... or at least share a few shots.
