If you follow that logic, the global music market would be tiny. I mean, who’d bother listening to Americans or Germans, considering all the mess those countries have made in the past? Nobody's out there blasting Al Capone's tracks. And honestly, even if they did, that's their business. It feels pretty stupid to drag war into everything. If I only listened to artists whose worldview matched mine, my CD player would be pretty empty most of the time. I guess you just have to listen to the music for what it is, rather than treating every song like a political statement.
It’s kind of hilarious when you see these kids blasting Madonna while their old men were out on the front lines... honestly, it cracks me up. Just a bunch of apples and pears, I guess.

The other day, some Mexican handball legend on an American news network—can’t remember his name—said we're definitely the favorites. I guess if they're saying it, we probably are, lol...

Things are pretty tense...
It honestly catches me off guard every single time, seeing how primitive people can be when they whistle over someone else's anthem before a game starts.🙄

Marijuana legalization in Health ·
What a load of nonsense... everything is individual, you can't just generalize like that. Almost everyone I know who uses marijuana doesn't even touch cigarettes! They haven't even tried mixing the two because they know they're fine just smoking weed occasionally, and that's it. They don't care about chemicals or any of that other crap. People are just getting tired of the lecturing...

Honestly, just let them pass Marijuana legalization already so everyone can finally stop yapping about it non-stop...
Is marijuana actually a drug? in Health ·
Eric Wells3 said:The definition of a drug is an intoxicant that permanently and irreversibly alters the brain. Marijuana doesn't do that.🙂

I guess we were just talking about this the other day. There was some stuff on the news and in the papers showing how ecstasy leaves "holes in the brain"—you know, those scans where large sections of the brain look dark. It seems pretty clear that ecstasy affects the brain that way. So, you're saying marijuana doesn't even come close to having consequences like that?

True. Everywhere I go lately, it’s either straight-leg jeans or these miserable little micro-flares. It’s not like I’m hunting for those massive hippie flares, but I just want a bit more room, you know? The only places I actually found anything decent were Amadeus and Wit Boy. Even the girl working at Wit Boy mentioned how weird it is—girls are constantly looking for flares, yet most of the new stock is just straight-cut. So there are only a few styles everyone ends up buying. I felt a bit silly after grabbing some denim only to realize every fourth girl at the mall was wearing the exact same pair. Not that I care about being unique or whatever; if I like it, I wear it. I just hate wearing the same thing as someone I don't particularly like. It just reminds me of them, I guess.😁

Statements like "this just isn't working anymore" feel pretty pointless to me.

Amadeu Trapke are basically the only ones I haven't had to hem. For Wit Boy, you definitely need to take off at least 2-3 cm depending on the cut.

Hey, Brian Mitchell44, you don't really lose much length by shortening a tapered fit. You could just pick up some Wit Boy instead; they have plenty of tapered options—darker, lighter, faded, cuffed, uncuffed... It’s the same for me, I end up hemming them too, like I said. But a good taper is sturdy, so it doesn't feel like you're losing shape. I usually trim about 5 mm more in the back than the front so they don't drag too much, though they always kind of bunch up or sit maybe 2-3 mm above the floor. 😁 But when I'm obsessed with that tapered look and I need my pants to actually show my shoes instead of covering them up—not all the time, but most of the time—that's the goal. That's why I can't stand those baggy styles or straight cuts; it's just not my vibe. Anyway, at Wit Boy, they cost $117 and they're my favorite style there. They have different washes, front pockets but no back pockets, a wide taper that's more relaxed than a slim fit, a dropped crotch, and plenty of stretch. I hate pants without stretch; I won't buy them, even if they're the best looking pair I've seen. I can't stand that stiffness. I guess the price seems fair; everything else was around $40-$50, at least based on what I saw last time I picked up two pairs. Once I save up enough, I'll probably grab some more from $117 because mine have faded pretty badly from all the washing and stuff. 😁

🙄 Everyone seems so worked up over Vock... he isn't even really provoking anyone, I guess. He’s just messing around. A lot of people actually find him funny. People are jumping straight to the extreme stuff—calling him a predator or a maniac or whatever. 😕 Whatever. 🙂

Dealing with bronchitis? in Health ·
umm... 🤔

My mom is going through something similar. She has asthma, caught bronchitis, and has been cycling through all sorts of antibiotics for the last ten days plus getting shots. Today, her doctor sent her straight to the ER for testing because he wasn't happy about how nothing was working. Her medical history is pretty messy—mostly allergies and asthma, which are all linked, plus this brutal cough that just won't quit. Anyway... after waiting nearly three hours, she finally got results. They told her there’s some intense allergen issue, but since she’s been on so much medication, they can't pin anything down yet. They want to follow up in two weeks to see what's actually happening. She should have stayed at the hospital, but she’s incredibly stubborn, so she signed the papers to be discharged. Honestly, her system is so wiped out she probably should be on an IV right now... 🤔 😢 anyway, I'm incredibly worried about it and just dreading these next two weeks while we wait for answers... I hope things aren't quite as complicated for you. There's some supplement out there that supposedly cured a woman of 52 different allergies—some kind of honey-based shake or whatever meant to boost the immune system... but I don't know if that's actually smart or recommended. You'd definitely need to talk to a doctor first. Who knows, maybe it's all just more of that snake oil nonsense... 😬 anyway... I hate bronchitis, I hate being sick, I hate all of it. It isn't fair. Good luck to you 👋

DJ Porky in Music ·
He’s neither a legend of folk music nor some icon of ethnic sounds. If he qualifies as a "legend" of anything, it’s just pure turbo-folk, not actual ethnic or traditional music. Turbo-folk is basically DJ Porky. I guess he should probably know that if he actually listens to him.

I honestly doubt music had anything to do with us joining Europe. 🙂 BTW, folk music could definitely help us out rather than hurt us, if you think about it. As for that trashy pop stuff, I don't really have an opinion. 😁

So you're saying it's primitive because of the lyrics? It didn't occur to you that they aren't all the same? FYI, there are some beautiful love songs in folk music. Every genre has its garbage and its gems. For instance, I could argue grunge is primitive by pointing to when Kurt Cobain wrote lyrics like: "rape me, rape me, rape me my friend"... or take techno, which doesn't even have words—you just know how the music goes, and anyone can whip that up in software like Reason. 🙂 It's the same with rap; people easily bash it by using some random MTV rapper as an example. Sometimes you have to dig a little deeper. But as a trend, it’s easy to say folk is crap; you hear one ridiculous lyric and that's it. I respect everyone's opinion and I'm not trying to force my view on anyone, but I think it's stupid to approach things so superficially and build prejudices. And not every folk song is just meant for dancing... UNLIKE TECHNO, for example. 😁 Ah... anyway, what's the problem if it is used for dancing? At least people aren't getting kicked like punks do when they dance; they're just having a good time.

People should listen to whatever makes them happy. Why do people listen to that trashy pop? Because they like it. Just like someone else might like techno or rap or whatever. I guess that should be obvious to any adult, instead of just looking for reasons to spit on someone else. 👋
